Election Day open thread
Here is an election day open thread; please feel free to discuss your thoughts on the election as well as what you are seeing out there as you head to the polls. As for me I won’t be voting until after work tonight but there are reports that turnout has been high in New Hampshire.
America heads to the polls tomorrow, our future is at stake
Tomorrow Americans head to the polls to decide which candidate will serve as our president for the next four years and there is a clear choice to be made. These two candidates have differing opinions about which direction America should head in.
One candidate believes the government is the solution to our problems while the other candidate believes the government is the problem. One candidate believes in a society which is dependent on the government and the other candidate believes in a people who can rise to the occasion and succeed without the government interfering.
Barack Obama’s vision is clear; he wants more of the same failed policies which include higher taxes and more government regulation and oversight. He wants a Nanny State, re-distributive European style socialistic society.
New Romney web ad: Red Rocks Amphitheater
Below is a new web ad released by Mitt Romney; looking at the large crowd Mitt Romney drew in the blue state of Colorado should give us all hope that the movement has grown all across this nation and we stand a good chance of defeating Barack Obama on Tuesday.
I am still trying to temper my enthusiasm so as to not be let down should Barack Obama win reelection, but this gets me pumped up! I remain cautiously pessimistic, if that makes any sense. By this I mean that while I am holding out hope that Barack Obama will be defeated I am not expecting it, and am preparing for the worst, thereby lessening my disappointment while preparing to move America’s Watchtower forward in the event of a Barack Obama victory.

CIA timeline confirms Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed seven hours after Barack Obama was notified of the attack
The CIA recently released a timeline of the terrorist attack in Benghazi which led to the deaths of Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Sean Smith and this timeline confirms that the White House was informed in an email from the State Department about the attack a full seven hours before Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were murdered.
As this article states, this is enough time for a commercial airliner to fly from England to Libya and back, but as we know no air support was ever called in to help these brave men as they fought gallantly to the death in an attempt to save the life of Chris Stevens.
Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty felt the call of duty, and the value of Chris Stevens’ life, was so strong and so important that they disobeyed orders to stand down because they were willing to give their lives in defense of Chris Stevens’ life. Sadly, they failed but not until they reportedly took down 60 attackers before eventually giving the ultimate sacrifice and it saddens me to think that Barack Obama didn’t think Chris Stevens’, Tyrone Woods’, or Glen Dohrety’s lives were important enough to risk his political future on. There was more than enough time to provide these heroes with the air support they needed and there was more than enough to time possibly save the lives of Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty yet Barack Obama failed to do so because he didn’t think it was politically expedient.
Barack Obama let these people die because he was worried about his reelection and he feared both the repercussions from the Libyan government and offending Muslims, and I for one think that this is the ultimate dereliction of duty and in direct contrast to his oath of office.
Open thread for Sunday, November 4th: Invinsible edition
Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 4th; please feel free to leave links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the day. With only a couple of days until the election I would love to hear your predictions.
As for me I have flip-flopped over and over again in my mind about how this election was going to turn out and as of right now I think that it will either be a close election won by Barack Obama or a blow out by Mitt Romney. I think if the election results are tight we can expect Barack Obama to hang on, but if the early results are favorable to Mitt Romney it could be an early night. If Pennsylvania goes early for Romney it could be a very long night for Barack Obama. I can’t decide which way it will go however.
For today’s musical selection I have settled on what I think is an uplifting song which tells us “together we’re invincible.” I can’t think of a better selection as we head into the election to remind us that if we pull together we can win this thing. The song is by the band which has been dubbed the best live act in the world, Muse, and the song is entitled ‘Invincible.’ (Check out the guitar solo which starts around 4:39.)

After assuring the people of New York and New Jersey that he would not leave them behind Barack Obama quickly flew off to a Las Vegas fundraiser and has been on the campaign trail ever since.
Barack Obama spent enough time in the situation room during the hurricane to have a picture or two taken of him to show the American people that he was on the job (which is more than can be said about his reaction to Benghazi) and then he spent a whole day in a bromance with Chris Christie, flying over the ravaged area and promising to cut the red tape and get things done.
This all looked good on paper and the mainstream media tried to portray Barack Obama as looking presidential and as being on top of this natural disaster but this is his ‘mission accomplished’ moment and since that time the victims of this storm have been the last thing on the president’s mind.

The United States knew militias were gathering weapons three hours BEFORE the terrorist attack in Benghazi
When Barack Obama was caught lying to the American people about the terrorist attack in Benghazi having escalated out of a peaceful protest over a You Tube video that nobody had seen he began to change his story.
Barack Obama began to lay the blame for the false story at the feet of the intelligence agencies by claiming that he was simply repeating the initial reports he was getting out of Benghazi in the immediate aftermath of the attack, and it turned out these reports were not true. (Of course we have to ignore the fact that he was watching the attack in real time in order to believe this story.)
Hillary Clinton and Leon Panetta blamed the “fog of war” for the inaccurate story they continued to spread for weeks after everyone knew the truth.
In an attempt to prove to Americans that he would not repeat President Bush’s mistakes after Hurricane Katrina Barack Obama suspended his campaign (and didn’t he mock John McCain in 2008 for suspending his campaign to deal with the economic collapse, stating that presidents needed to be able to multitask?) in order to take the lead on Hurricane Sandy to prove that he could “look presidential” for a couple of days when he wanted to–unlike when the situation in Benghazi was unfolding.
For a couple of days Barack Obama showed us all that he truly cared about the plight of Americans who were affected by this disaster, going so far as to fly over the devastated areas while promising to cut through all the red tape of the bloated federal government on this one occasion.
