In an attempt to brand as racists all of the Tea Party activists who will be showing up at rallies all across New Hampshire tomorrow, former Democrat State Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan is actively seeking Democrats who are willing to pose as Tea Partiers and hold up anti-Obama, racists signs at the Tea Parties.

Exactly one year ago the Tea Party was born. We were laughed at, ridiculed, and made fun of. We were called racists, bigots, and right wing radicals. We were not taken seriously. Oh how times are changed. Even as our opponents try to claim that we shouldn’t be taken seriously, they are conspiring to bring us down.
The are conspiring to bring us down because deep down inside they do take us seriously, they know that we are for real and they know that there is a very good chance that the Tea Party movement could cost them their jobs in November.
So now they are preparing to send people into our midst to pretend that they are with us, while at the same time trying to paint all of us as radical, racist, anti-government anarchists. And they know that the media will focus on this aspect of the Tea Party rallies without ever questioning those that appear with the racists signs. These people will get away with this in the mainstream media, but the fact is that the mainstream media no longer holds the sway with the American people that they once did. So while there maybe a minority of people who watch the news and believe the portrayal of the Tea Party activists, most of the people watching the coverage will know that it isn’t a truthful account of what happened.
I for one am glad to see a former Democrat State Party Chairman take such an active and transparent role in trying to discredit the Tea Party movement by planting people with messages that are contrary to the actual meaning of the movement. It shows exactly how desperate they have become. This is proof that New Hampshire Democrats are scared about their re-election prospects in November.
Just think about this for a moment. Democrats in New Hampshire are now so desperate that they are going to plant people at a rally and pose as participants in that rally in an attempt to delegitimize the people at that rally. That is how far the New Hampshire Democrats have fallen. Instead of debating the issues that will be presented by the legitimate Tea Party members, they think it better serves their purpose to pretend they are one of us while holding up signs in an effort to libel us.
We cannot let this get us down and we cannot let this break our spirit. These people will show up at our rally tomorrow and the media will claim that these were members of the Tea Party that held up these racists signs. We expect that and because we expect it we cannot let it intimidate us.
We must remember that more and more people distrust the mainstream media every day. We will know the truth, the Democrats who organized this covert operation will also know the truth. But most important of all, the American people will know the truth.
We have come a long way in just one short year. We have reached the point where we can no longer be ignored. Not only are we no longer being ignored, the Democrats are so afraid of us that their former leaders are mounting a transparent effort to crash our party.
We are winning this battle, and the news that a former Democrat State Party Chairman is involved in an effort as insidious as this is all the proof that I need.
Tea Party attendees, do not worry about how you are portrayed in the media in the following days. Hold true and we will be rewarded in November. They were laughing at us last year, they are laughing no more.
Arizona appears ready to pass strict illegal immigration enforcement laws. Under the bill that just passed the Arizona House, it will be a violation of state law to enter the United States without the proper papers. I know how absurd it sounds that it isn’t already a state crime in Arizona for people to enter this country illegally, but at least the state seems to be moving in the right direction on this issue.
This bill would also grant the Arizona police the power to stop people that they suspect are in the country illegally and ask them for proof that they are in the country legally. If this bill is signed by the governor, Arizona will have some of the toughest immigration laws in the country. However the bill is slightly weaker than an earlier version of the bill because it will provide protections for community organizations that transport or harbor illegal aliens.
Needless to say, immigrant rights groups are coming out against this bill.
The objective is to make life miserable for immigrants so that they leave the state,” said Chris Newman, general counsel for the Los Angeles-based National Day Laborer Organizing Network. “The bill constitutes a complete disregard for the rights of nonwhites in Arizona. It effectively mandates racial profiling.”
No, actually the objective of the bill is to make it harder for immigrants that are here illegally to stay here illegally. You would think that immigrants who abided by the rules and followed the proper procedures to enter this country would be all for stopping the people who took shortcuts and did not follow the proper procedures from entering the county.
The bill has already passed the Arizona senate and it will be headed to the governor’s desk for either a signing or a veto. It is still unclear whether the governor will sign this bill or veto it, although she has already called for stronger immigration laws.
I do not agree with protecting from criminal prosecution organizations that transport illegal aliens into this country; I feel that if you are serious about solving the problem you will also punish those that transport, harbor, and knowingly employ illegal immigrants, but this bill is a step in the right direction. Hopefully the governor of Arizona will do the right thing and sign this bill into law.
As is stated in this article, the healthcare reform bill was supposed to increase access to healthcare. Why is it then that the healthcare bill contained language that has in effect stopped the building of at least 60 new hospitals just because they were to be owned by doctors?
The new healthcare reform law prohibits physician owned hospitals from expanding without meeting specific guidelines set by the Department of Health and Human Services. Many of these hospitals simply will not be able to expand and thusly will not be able to help more people with their medical needs.
But the news gets worse for physician owned hospitals as 60 proposed hospitals that were in the planning stages will no longer be built. And this bill was supposed to help people gain access to healthcare? This bill prohibits certain hospitals from expanding and has put the brakes on plans to build over 60 new hospitals. Why? Just because of the people who own the hospitals? Evidentially, this administration thinks that the doctors who own these hospitals make too much money.
But I think that it goes beyond just limiting how much these doctors can make. Let us not forget that in a speech that Barack Obama gave in 2007, he admitted that he was for single payer healthcare insurance. Adding more people to the healthcare system while stopping hospitals from being either expanded or built seems to be part of the government’s effort to eventually take over the industry.
The question is, is this an unintended consequence or was it part of the plan? Considering that there is a whole section in the healthcare reform bill dedicated to physician owned hospitals, I have to think that the congress knew exactly what they were doing.
Much of Barack Obama’s jobs bill is stalled in congress
During his State of the Union speech, Barack Obama focused much of his attention on his “jobs bill” for the upcoming year. But most of this agenda has been stalled in congress for one simple reason– there is no money left to pay for the much ballyhooed jobs bill. The government is broke.
The reason that much of this bill is stalled in congress is the fact that both Democrats and Republicans would not allow the president to use left over TARP money for the jobs bill.
An $80 billion-plus Senate plan promised an infusion of cash to build roads and schools, help local governments keep teachers on the payroll, and provide rebates for homeowners who make energy-saving investments. Two months after the plan was introduced, most of those main elements remain on the Senate’s shelf.

Some smaller portions of the job bill are still moving forward, but the vast majority of the jobs bill was dead on arrival. It seems to me that the jobs bill was a casualty in the unrelenting pressure to pass a healthcare reform bill that the American people did not want in the first place.
When Scott Brown was elected, healthcare reform looked to be dead– and it should have been. The top priorities in the minds of the American people right now are the economy and jobs. Scott Brown’s election gave the president an “out” to abandon healthcare reform and focus on jobs. He could have claimed that he did everything possible to pass healthcare reform but that it just wasn’t in the cards; he could have claimed that he was turning his attention to jobs. But he just couldn’t let go of healthcare reform so he continued to push it even as the economy kept getting worse.
Now the government is faced with the embarrassing reality that there is just no way they can infuse the economy with the money that they promised in the jobs bill. The jobs bill was celebrated when it was signed, but most of it will never be implemented.
This seems to be a serious miscalculation on the part of the administration. Jobs should always have been the focus of this administration, yet the jobs bill took a back seat to healthcare reform and now it looks like the jobs bill has fallen victim to the healthcare reform bill.
The jobs bill seems to have had quite a bit more public support than did the healthcare reform bill; if the president had decided to tackle the jobs bill first, he may have been able to use the momentum he gained by it to move forward on healthcare reform. He could have had both bills if he played his cards right– but he didn’t and now there is no money to pay for the jobs bill.
The Democrats could pay dearly for this miscalculation in November.
Democrats may skip voting on a federal budget this year
Fearful of their re-election prospects, Democrats appear to be on the verge of skipping voting on a new budget. It seems that they are afraid to go on record with a vote on the budget for this year.
some Democratic insiders suspect that leaders will skip the budget process altogether this year — a way to avoid the political unpleasantness of voting on spending, deficits and taxes in an election year — or simply go through a few of the motions, without any real effort to complete the work.
This will not be the first time that a budget has not been voted on; three times under President Bush and once under President Clinton the congress has failed to vote on a federal budget, but this does provide us with some insight as to what the Democrats’ mindset is heading into what proves to be a volatile election season.
Democrat leadership seems to be leery about going on record voting for increased taxes and deficits so close to a pivotal election. The government is going to have to make a choise between rasing taxes or cutting entitlement programs– a choice that they seem unwilling to make with votes on the line.

If this sounds familiar it is because Barack Obama had this to say about President Bush’s unwillingness to stop the out of control spending in Washington on entitlement programs– specifically Medicare and Medicaid:
What we have done is kicked this can down the road. We are now at the end of the road and are not in a position to kick it any further. We have to signal seriousness in this by making sure some of the hard decisions are made under my watch, not someone else’s
Yet Democrats seem prepared to do just that now that they are facing what could be an uphill battle in November. They seem to be putting their re-election above making the tough choices that they promised they would make. They are kicking the can down the road in an effort to help themselves get re-elected.
New Hampshire poll shows Governor Lynch may be beatable
A new Rasmussen poll on the New Hampshire gubernatorial race has come out and there is some encouraging news in it for Republicans. The new poll shows Governor John Lynch leading likely Republican candidate John Stephen by a 47-37% margin.
How is a ten point deficit in the poll encouraging to New Hampshire Republicans? Because John Lynch has been able to maintain very high approval ratings as governor, but this poll shows that his support may be dwindling heading towards the November election. John Lynch has won his two previous re-election bids by a margin of about 2-1, this is the tightest any poll has shown the governor in a re-election bid.
He could be vulnerable; he is below 50% and the three Republican candidate vying for the party’s nomination are still little known to the voters. Karen Testerman and Jack Kimball are the other two Republicans looking to win the primary and they both fare just a little worse than does John Stephen, trailing the governor 50-33% and 50-34% respectively. Voters in the poll admit that they do not know much about either of the three Republican challengers and yet Governor Lynch is still in a surprisingly close campaign.
Once the campaign heats up and voters find out what these three stand for and the voters settle on the nominee I think that this poll will tighten up and Governor John Lynch may face a tough time in winning re-election.
Although he still remains personally popular with a rating of 60%– doesn’t that sound a bit familiar, he seems to have that in common with Barack Obama– even that is down from his high of 80%, and he had consistently been in the high 60’s to low 70’s; it seems as if people are finally starting to realized that the spending and tax increases have got to stop and that means that Governor Lynch must be defeated.
The polls are tightening, but there is allot to do and allot of time before the election. It will be up to whomever comes out of the Republican primary to get his or her message out to the voters of New Hampshire. It is looking more hopeful than it has in the past that this governor can be defeated; Republicans just need a good candidate and a good message.
This latest poll, coupled with the fact that Republicans have won seven out of the last eight special elections since 2008– may signal a shift in New Hampshire politics, it will be up to the Republicans to take advantage of this shift. These special elections have shown us that it can be done. It must be done.
As everyone has heard by now, Justice John Paul Stevens is retiring from the Supreme Court at the end of this session giving Barack Obama his second chance to shape the Supreme Court to his vision. Much like his first nomination didn’t change the overall make up of the 5-4 split court, neither will this one. Justice John Paul Stevens is probably the most liberal member of the Supreme Court so the balance in the court will remain the same, but this process does actually present the president with some interesting problems.
There is speculation that Barack Obama does not want a long drawn out Supreme Court nomination battle and may be willing to nominate a more moderate justice to the Supreme Court in order to speed up the process. According to people involved closely with the nomination process, eight out of the ten names being looked at are not far left justices. These same people also claim that the president does not want another major battle with Republicans so soon after the hotly contested healthcare reform battle that was passed in such an underhanded manner, dividing the nation and threatening the Democrats’ majorities in November.
This is where the biggest problem lies for Barack Obama in this process; if he does indeed decide to nominate a more moderate justice to the Supreme Court it will infuriate the far left, they will consider it a sell out to the Republicans, but if he does nominate a far left liberal it will draw out the confirmation process probably all the way up to the November election and congress will be able to get little else done.
If he does decide to nominate a more moderate justice I do not think that it will be because he does not want the fight, but that he can’t afford the fight. By that I mean, his agenda can’t afford the fight. His agenda will be stalled over the Summer and he will lose any momentum that he had following his healthcare “victory.” One thing that the healthcare reform debate has shown us is that this president is not afraid to stand up and fight for what he believes in, even if the people are against him, so if he does go this route it will be a compromise between the court and passing more of his agenda before he losses control of the congress.
The question is, will he compromise? Another thing that the healthcare reform debate showed us was that he was unwilling to compromise on something he believed so strongly in, will that change now? Barack Obama seems to be a man who knows what he wants and is determined to get it, he will want to change the makeup of the court AND pass his agenda but I am not sure he can do both. It is going to be hard for him to compromise between the two, but will he be willing to throw away any political capital the healthcare reform “victory” gave him on a justice that will not change the overall makeup of the court? That is where the real question lies.
The wildcard in this issue may just be the fact that Justice John Paul Stevens was the most liberal member of the Supreme Court. There is always the chance that Barack Obama feels there will not be a hugely contested fight to stop the nomination of a far leftist to the court because the makeup of the court will remain the same. If Republicans compromise because of this it will be a big mistake for them in November.
My opinion is that Barack Obama is going to go for it all. I think he will nominate a far left justice and try to push his agenda through at the same time. I believe that this man is an ideologue and will not be able to compromise his beliefs by nominating a justice to the Supreme Court that doesn’t fit his view of the constitution just as a means to provide the congress with more time to pass his agenda.
Remember all of the speculation after the election that Barack Obama was actually going to govern from the center to bring the country together? That wasn’t exactly what happened and I don’t think that is what is going to happen here either.
Bart Stupak announces he will not run for re-election
Chalk up another victory for the Tea Party protesters because today Bart Stupak is set to announce he will “retire” at the end of his term.
He can claim all he wants that this decision was not based on his healthcare reform vote, but we all know that this is simply not true. He has been facing enormous scrutiny, not only from his constituents but from citizens all around the country, and there is no way that this scrutiny did not play a role in his decision. Hopefully Bart Stupak’s conscience played a role in his decision to “retire” as well.
Bart Stupak is the man who handed over the final votes needed to pass healthcare reform and he did it for a promise from the president that federal funding would not be used for abortions, and possibly in return for airport grant money. The president did deliver on the promise, but it is a promise that can be changed at any time, meanwhile Michigan will be able to keep the blood money that Bart Stupak’s deal brought in.
This could be the biggest name yet to fall victim to the movement that was laughed at just one short year ago, but this won’t be the last one to fall– in November we are coming for the rest of you.
New study proves cow farts don’t cause global warming
Previous studies have laughingly declared that cow farts cause global warming and because of this people should stop eating meat. But now a new study has come out that has found that cows are actually good for the environment.
Let’s face it, the argument that cow farts were contributing to global warming was not the real focus of this ridiculous claim. The truth is that animal rights activists and vegetarians jumped on board the global warming cause as a means to persuade people that it was wrong to eat meat.
We can argue all we want about whether man is causing global warming through industrialization, but nature is a delicate balance; everything in nature serves a purpose that keeps the environment alive and sustainable. To claim that a part of nature, such as cows, are causing global warming by doing what comes naturally to them is absolutely asinine.
People begin to ask, “where is my free healthcare?”
It is hard to believe with all of the scrutiny that surrounded the healthcare reform debate that there are many people who do not know that there is no free healthcare offered in this bill and that the “benefits” of this bill do not go into effect until after 2012, but according to this article there may be more people who do not know these two aspects than I want to believe.
Questions reflecting confusion have flooded insurance companies, doctors’ offices, human resources departments and business groups.
“They’re saying, ‘Where do we get the free Obama care, and how do I sign up for that?’ ” said Carrie McLean, a licensed agent for eHealthInsurance.com. The California-based company sells coverage from 185 health insurance carriers in 50 states.
McLean said the call center had been inundated by uninsured consumers who were hoping that the overhaul would translate into instant, affordable coverage.
The call center has been inundated with people who are looking for free healthcare now that the healthcare reform bill is law. The reason they do not know there will be no free healthcare insurance coming their way now or ever:
That widespread misconception may have originated in part from distorted rhetoric about the legislation
They have been hearing the president say over and over again that this bill has extended coverage to 30 million Americans that do not have healthcare insurance and now they are looking for what they believe is free healthcare coverage for everybody.
We tell them it’s not free, that there are going to be things in place that help people who are low-income, but that ultimately most of that is not going to be taking place until 2014
The call centers have to tell them that there is no such thing as free healthcare. Sure, there will be subsidies for some of the poorer Americans to help them purchase healthcare insurance, but the notion that the adminstration has extended healthcare benefits to the uninsured is a bending of the truth. The administration hasn’t insured 30 million Americans by providing them with healthcare, they have demanded that the American people who cannot afford healthcare insurance in the first place must go out and buy it anyway. This is not reform, and this is not providing– this is mandating.
The government provided hope to those people who are suffering from a pre-existing condition by telling them that the bill would stop insurance companies from denying coverage to them; many of these people thought that they would be able to immediately get the coverage they were promised only to find out now that this part of the bill doesn’t go into effect until 2014. How many of these people will die before this clause goes into effect that thought they were going to get immediate coverage? What must these people be thinking now that they have finally learned the truth?
We have been told that there is a healthcare crisis in this country and yet provisions that one would think are the most important, such as covering people with pre-existing conditions, do not go into effect for a few years. If there was truly a crisis, why the delay?
There appears to be many people that bought into the hype and didn’t actually pay attention to what was going on in the healthcare debate and now they are surprised and disappointed to learn the truth. This scenario sounds allot like the 2008 presidential election, doesn’t it? These people must feel duped, but they have nobody to blame but themselves, it is time for them to start paying attention and maybe this will be the issue that wakes them up.
There still seems to be many people that are not paying close enough attention to what is going on in the government, and this is concerning to me. It makes me wonder if there are too many people who are not paying attention– and who really think that the government is going to give out free money– to correct the error that was made in the 2008 election. And with the news that 47% of Americans didn’t pay taxes in 2009, the people who work for a living may face an uphill battle in taking back our country.
