FBI Has Been Investigating Veterans Since December
Janet Napolitano and the department of Homeland Security made quite a stir last week when it was leaked that Homeland security has identified returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans as possible domsestric terrorist threats.
As bad as that is it gets even worse, according to this article the FBI has been investigating veterans and there potential to join white supremacy groups since December.
What a way to treat our returning heroes, instead of welcoming them home with open arms our government is keeping a keen eye on them. It all keeps coming back to one man– Timothy McVeigh. The fact that he was a former military man is how the department of Homeland Security justifies this paranoia that they display to our troops. He was one man, and that is all. He is not representative of all veterans and if this offends me this much think how much it must offend veterans.
Janeane Garofalo Says That The Tea Parties Were Racist
I wasn’t going to waste my time writing about this quote from Janeane Garofalo, but how often is it that you can find such a colossal example of ignorant, bigoted, insulting, stupid, arrogant, uninformed, malicious, moronic, intolerant, close-minded, idiocy from just one person? Usually you would to combine Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, and Rosie O’Donnel to come up with equal stupidity to what Janeane Garofalo said.
In case you haven’t heard, here is what Janeane Garofalo said about EVERYBODY that attended a tax day tea party:
“Let’s be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It’s not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don’t know their history at all. It’s about hating a black man in the White House, this is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that.”
She KNOWS, KNOWS FOR A FACT that ever single person who attended a tea party was a racist. Have you ever read a statement that was more uninformed than that one? She does not understand what the true meaning of the tea parties was and neither does she care to. I have heard estimates that the total number of people that attended the 500 events across the country was 250,000. I think that might be high, but for every person that attended I would guess that there were 10 other who would have liked to but had to work. This is not just a few people that Janeane Garofalo insulted, she insulted everybody that believes in lower taxes and less government. There were not just extreme right wing potential domestic terrorists there, there were Democrats and Independents also, Mz. Garofalo would understand that if she had a clue, or at least tried to understand.
These tea parties had nothing to do with the president’s color, who gives a damn, and everything to do with his policies. But these far leftists just don’t think that anybody could possibly have anything against the president’s policies so they believe there has to be something else– his race.
Anybody who dares to question the president’s policies is a racist, and attacked as such according to the leftist playbook. No longer is dissent patriotic, it is now racist. Has anyone else noticed that the only people who mention the president’s color are liberals? The rest of us don’t care, we are more concerned with the direction of the country.
How can a liberal who is supposed to be so compassionate and tolerant be so closed minded?
But the foundation was laid out before the tea parties began for this argument. It is no coincidence that report from Homeland Security that warned police to be on the lookout for right wing extremists that included people who were anti-abortion, for smaller government, for lower taxes, and for state’s rights came out the day before the tea parties. This report linked the preceding groups with white supremacist as people to keep an eye on. It was the playbook handed to the far left to discredit the people with whom they disagree. And the timing was intentional.
We know CNN used the template that was laid out in the Homeland Security report in their coverage of the tea parties. Susan Roesgen, a CNN reporter mentioned that this was nothing but an anti-government rally.
Another reporter, I forget which network but I heard it, mentioned to a participant at a tea party that she didn’t see any minorities at the tea party.
And now Janeane Garofalo, and I am sure more of Hollywood will follow, has glommed on to the angle that the tea parties were nothing but a bunch of white supremacists protest a black man in the white house.
They are trying to to discredit us and intimidate us into silence, we cannot let this happen. We must not be intimidated, we must continue to fight for what we believe in.
The truth is that they are scared. They are afraid of this movement and they want to stop it. So they will try to discredit it. They are afraid because the tea parties were organized the same way that the president was able to raise so much campaign money– through the webroots. Now we have a potential to gain momentum through the internet and they know that it works.
Janeane Garofalo and Anderson Cooper and anyone else can say whatever they want but WE know the truth about the movement, about who we are and what we believe, and we will not be silenced by their political terrorism.
Oh, and by the way, I would gladly take a US history test and compare my scores to her scores.

Environmentalist Group Admits That Cap and Trade is Designed to Drive up Energy Prices
Finally someone is admitting the truth about the idea of cap and trade and of the global warming hoax. Some environmentalists and liberal activists have actually said that the president’s cap and trade policy is DESIGNED to drive up energy prices and implement a redistribution of wealth.
Greenstein told CNSNews.com that cap-and-trade is “supposed to” increase energy prices, and that skyrocketing electricity bills will, in turn, drive consumers to alternative forms of energy.
The government wants to drive the price of energy up to FORCE people to use the type of energy that the government approves of. A better way to get people to use alternative energy would be to improve the efficiency of alternative energy until the same level of efficiency is reached as fossil fuels. Once alternative energy becomes competitive with fossil fuels and the competition rises people will automatically choose the type of energy they prefer to use and in turn this will drive the price of all energy types down. A much more preferable result.
Why then is the government so adamant about FORCING people into behaviors that the government prefers by purposely driving up the price of a necessity? Is the the billions of tax dollars they look to bilk us out of? Is the the lust for control over the lives of her subjects? I would say that it is probably both.
It can no longer be said that the cap and trade policy is interested in helping to save the environment as we now have SUPPORTERS of cap and trade who are willing to tell us exactly what the theory behind the policy is. They are proud of what they want and hope to do to the people of the United States.
What I find interesting is the fact that they are now willing to admit what their agenda is in regards to cap and trade. They must feel emboldened by the recent developments in the government and the economy. With the government taking over private businesses and hiring and firing people in those businesses, and with the government taking over the banking industry, and with the hatred displayed by angry mobs and death threats made on AIG employees, and with the president’s approval rating still hovering around 61% these groups must feel like the people are ready to hear the truth about cap and trade.
These groups have been having trouble convincing the people about the cap and trade policies and they must feel that admitting that cap and trade will redistribute the wealth is more palatable to the American people given the political climate we seem to find ourselves in. These groups may believe that they have found a new and improved selling point. I find that a little disconcerting in itself, they may just be right.
At least they are finally admitting the truth.
Janet Napolitano Apologizes to US Veterans…..Sort of
Today Janet Napolitano issued an apology of sorts to the veterans of the United States of America.
To the extent veterans read it as an accusation,” Napolitano told FOX News, “an apology is owed
The reason I don’t consider this an apology is because she has not accepted responsibility for the words, in fact she isn’t sorry about what was written just the way it was written.
If there’s one part of that report I would re-write — in the wordsmithing, Washingtonese that goes on after the fact — it would be that footnote
She isn’t apologizing for the report that said United States veterans could pose a possible terrorist threat, she is apologizing for the fact that veterans misinterpreted the report.
But there is still one question that remains, why is it that when she gave her first speech in front of congress that she refused to use the word terrorism when talking about the threat from Islamic extremists, but she has no problem using the word terrorism when she is talking about United States veterans and their potential to be radicalized by we right wing extremists?
Congresswoman Calls Tea Parties Despicable While Her Husband Pleads Guilty to Tax Fraud
Below are two quotes.
“It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt,”
And:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
You know where the second one comes from, the first quote is from Rep. Jan Schakowsky and she was talking about the Tea Parties that were held all across the country yesterday.
She went on to say that the right wing was distorting the truth about the president tax policies. Apparently Rep. Schakowsky believes that her position, and the president’s, is the final say and that we should just fall in line like lemmings and not question what is going on in Washington. She apparently forgot to read the first amendment where it reads that we have the right to free speech and to peaceably assemble, and she clearly does not believe that we have the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
She has her positions and many Americans have a differing position as was evidenced yesterday. Because we differ with HER position she finds our decision to recognize our first amendment rights despicable and shameful. I ask you, “who is truly being despicable, the person who exercises a constitutional right or the person who feels that a person who exercises a constitutional right is a despicable person?”
But there is a twist to this story. Rep. Jan Schakowsky is calling those who participated in Tea Party tax protests despicable, but the funny think here is that on the day that people were protesting the tax increases, her husband was pleading guilty to tax fraud. Now that is what I call despicable and shameful.
New Hampshire Tea Party Wrap Up
Depending on the news source you listen to there were as many as six to ten Tea Parties scheduled in New Hampshire on April 15th, a large amount of events coming from a small state. This just goes to show you that there is a growing discontent with this administration in Washington and in New Hampshire. I am not sure about the other states but in New Hampshire the frustration is two-fold, and I think it is safe to say the same is also true of Massachusetts, because not only are people growing frustrated with the spending on the federal level, New Hampshire residents are growing frustrated with the spending at the state level.
I sit here day after day and complain about what is going on in the country and yesterday I had a chance to make a stand, even if it was only symbolic stand (for now). My family and I attended the Manchester Tea Party. My wife and I attended to show our displeasure in the direction the country and the state is headed. We took the boys to give them a perspective on being active in the political process. My oldest son, Andy, loves US history, and we all loved the HBO mini series John Adams, so I think that he got a special kick out of the event.
It was an absolutely beautiful day in Manchester yesterday and the crowd was large and loud. The crowd was estimated between 1,000-1,500 people and the people were of all ages and political leanings. There were Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents. There were liberals, moderates and conservatives. The rally did take on a Republican theme on a few occasions, which was to be expected because the current state and federal administrations are both heavily Democratic.
All in all there were sixteen speakers, including Manchester mayor Frank Guinta, former and possibly future, congressional candidate Jennifer Horn, and Tom Thomson (son of Mel Thompson who coined the ax the tax slogan while governor.)
As I wrote earlier New Hampshire is facing a state spending crisis also and it seemed to me that while the president and congress came under scrutiny, especially with the signage, that more attention might have been paid to the state legislature by the speakers.
There were many chants of USA!, Ax the Tax! (a reference to the former New Hampshire governor,Mel Thompson, who first came up with the pledge to oppose any broad-based tax that all gubernatorial candidates in New Hampshire are asked to take), Live free or die!, as well as many others.
One of the highlights of the rally for those of us who were right in front of the podium was a WWII veteran who attended. He was not candid with his feelings and the speakers really inspired him. You could see how much he loved the country that he fought for in France and how upset he was in the direction of the country. He was continually moved to voice his opinions during the speeches.
In the two plus years that I have been blogging I have met many people 
on-line that I consider friends even though we have never met in person. There is a bond that forms between people who are dedicating their free time before and after work to blogging for what they believe in. Friendships are born between people who are fighting for the same cause. Dominique from An Unlikely Perspective is one of those who I have considered my friend although we had never met. Dominique is a fellow New Hampshire blogger and during the Tea Party I had the chance to finally meet a fellow blogger and friend with whom I have talked to on-line so many times.
This may have just been a small step but it was only the first step, the movement is growing and it will continue to do so. That was one of the general themes with the speakers. They continually urged people to stay involved in the process. There are going to be more events such as this in the future, we are not going to go away, in fact there are going to be more of us every time an event is held.
One of the things that strikes me is that this is a true grassroots effort. This was ordinary Americans, working and middle class families, who have been so moved to action that they took time out of work because they felt so strongly about this. This was not organized by moveon.org or ACORN or any other large national activist group. This was small, but growing grassroots groups who organized various rallies across the country and they are going to continue to do so. Sure Fox News and talk radio covered the rallies extensively but they did not organize them, this was all done on-line by ordinary people who do not want to mortgage the future, our children’s future. There were as many as 500 all across the country and it was average hard working Americans who pulled this off.
In the end this one event did not change anything, but it has spurred the American people into action. It started on April 15th but it will not stop on April 15th, this was the springboard. April 15th 2009 is the day that we will look back upon as the day that we began to take back our country.
It is time to tell the politicians, “you work for us.”
Texas Governor Re-affirms Texas’ Sovereignty
I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state, that is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”
Those words were spoken by the governor of Texas, Rick Perry, and as Maddmedic speculates here, this could possibly make Texas a terrorist state under the paper that was sent to the president and police stations all across the country from Homeland Security.
People are growing leery of the expansion of the federal government under this administration and it seems to have boiled over in Texas.
There are, I believe, 10 states who either will be voting or have voted on re-affirming states’ rights under the 10th amendment of the constitution and my state of New Hampshire was one of them. Being a believer in less federal government and more control being returned from the federal government to the states (which makes me a potential domestic terrorist under the above linked article about a paper released by Homeland Security) I am sad to report that the measure to re-affirm states’ rights under the Jeffersonian principle failed in New Hampshire earlier this year, but at least the movement is underway here.
But the movement is under way all across the country as more and more people, and now it appears states, are growing tired of the federal government’s over-reaching. And that is the important thing.
Let me state here in the interest of not being labeled a right wing extremest that must be monitored by the government that I approve of this movement and I hope that this movement leads to a revolution at the ballot boxes in 2010. That is the revolution we so-called radical extremest right wingers are hoping for.
You remember Kathleen Sebelius don’t you? She is the president’s nominee for health secretary and she was one of many appointments made by this president with tax problems.
She has since gone back and corrected the honest mistakes that she made over a three year period with her taxes. Now she has made yet another honest mistake. During her senate confirmation hearing she lied to the senate about how much money she received from Dr. George Tiller, a late term abortion provider. She claimed when asked by the senate that she received $12,450 from the doctor over a seven year period when in reality she received over $23,000 from 2000-2002 in additional money from the doctor that she forgot to report to the senate.
It is obvious that this woman is a liar and a tax cheat. If not than she is extremely absent minded and incompetent to hold public office. Either way it is time for her to withdraw her name from consideration.
This morning I wrote a post about a Homeland Security paper that warned about “right wing extremists” and the threat that they may pose to the government.
This paper basically lumped in people who are either pro second amendment, anti abortion, anti illegal immigration, or pro smaller government (or more than one or all of the above) with white supremacists and domestic terrorists. As maddening as I found that paper there was one aspect to the paper that I missed this morning and to me it is much more egregious.
This is what the Department of Homeland Security thinks about our military men and women who are overseas fighting on our behalf:
the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks
That is unforgivable. To suggest that some of our troops will come home and form or join terrorist groups is beyond reprehensible. And why suddenly is the Department of Homeland Security suddenly using the “T” word again when talking about our troops when they refuse to call the actual terrorists what they are?
The report continues:
Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists,” it says. “DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities
I find it very interesting to see how these people really feel about our veterans.
Is this how people who oppose this administration are going to be characterized? This is truly scary. The department of Homeland Security has issued a report in which people on the right are being stereotyped as violent, gun-toting racists and law enforcement is being told to be on the lookout.
The nine-page document was sent to police and sheriff’s departments across the United States on April 7 under the headline, “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”
The following is also in the report:
It says the federal government “will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months” to gather information on “rightwing extremist activity in the United States.”
The joint federal-state activities will have “a particular emphasis” on the causes of “rightwing extremist radicalization.”
But this report goes deeper than just stereotyping the people on the right on the issues of guns and race, it also warns of people who want illegal immigration stopped and warns of people who are anti-abortion, and it warns of people who feel the federal government is growing too big.
Basically if you are on the opposite side of an issue with this president the Department of Homeland Security believes that you are a threat to radicalize. This is a frightening, there was a time when dissent was patriotic (remember Hillary?) but now dissent because it is on the right wing is dangerous and must be closely watched.
The president has distanced himself from this report but the fact is that he appointed Janet Napolitano so he owns this report. He had to have known her stance on issues such as this and he must have agreed with it or he would not have appointed her.
The left has found it’s enemy and it is not alQaeda and it is not North Korea, Iran, or Cuba, it is half of the American people.
