Enough Said!

Has Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick Quit on His State?

April 3, 2008

captd9b66ea0c0af42b88911c56133b6e59bmassachusetts_governor_patrick_maea104.jpg Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has learned the same lesson that his predecessor, Mitt Romney, had learned. That lesson is that the governorship of Massachusetts is nothing but a figurehead. The entrenched corrupt legislators are the ones who control the agenda and it doesn’t matter who the governor is. The speaker of the house, Sal DiMasi, runs Massachusetts, he is the person who’s skids must be greased if you want to accomplish anything in Massachusetts.

Mitt Romney was criticized by the former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, during the primary as a person who was not able to accomplish much as governor. He was trashed by Giuliani as ineffective because he was not able to persuade the liberal leadership in Massachusetts to follow his lead. Now moonbat Deval Patrick, with a state government that must be about 96% moonbat, cannot accomplish anything. Maybe it wasn’t Romney’s fault after all.

At least Governor Romney balanced the budget and brought fiscal responsibility to Massachusetts. Governor Patrick, not so much. Governor Patrick has amassed a budget deficit at a New Hampshire type rate of around $73 million this fiscal year.

He ran a campaign on cutting property taxes, and he failed. He committed many new dollars in spending and how did he propose to pay for it? By approving casinos in Massachusetts. The only problem is that Sal DiMasi wasn’t going to receive the kickbacks required for his vote so it was doomed to fail. And it has.

So you may be wondering why I called this post “Has Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick Quit on His State?”

Here is why. On the day that the vote on the most integral part of Patrick’s platform was to take place, was Patrick fighting for his biggest proposal? The same proposal he banked all this extra revenue on. No.

Governor Patrick gave up the fight and was actually in New York. But why was he in New York instead of fighting for his beliefs? Because he was finalizing a $1.3 million book deal.

Massachusetts is in fiscal turmoil, but the governor is not, he is now sitting pretty. Towns all over the state will be voting to override prop 2 1/2 to fund “necessary” programs, yet the governor was busy lining his own pockets. He was more interested in his own well being than the well being of the state he was entrusted to govern.

Governor Patrick now realizes there is nothing he can do to govern the corrupt legislature of Massachusetts, he has given up and is now just riding out his term while he looks out for number one. The question is, which finger is he holding up to Massachusetts to show he is number one?

Ted Turner Says Global Warming Will Turn Us Into Cannibals

April 2, 2008

global-warming.jpg Once again I have to start another global warming post by saying that I thought I had heard it all when it comes to global warming, but this takes the cake. Once again I have to say that the global warming alarmists are just getting more and more insane with every passing day. So you must be asking yourselves, “what can be more insane than any of the other things that mrpinkeyes has posted about before?” I don’t blame you for asking, after all I have written about how global warming is the reason behind the genocide in Darfur. I have written about how banning light-bulbs and water coolers and plastic bags will save the planet. I have written about how cow farts and earthworms are causing global warming. I have written about a group that blames Jews for global warming. I have written about Halloween destroying the environment as well as San Fransisco trying to bam fireplaces to save the planet. And the list goes on and on with the global warming alarmists.

Now we hear from Ted Turner that man will turn into cannibals because of the effects of global warming.

Interviewed Tuesday for Charlie Rose’s PBS show, CNN founder Ted Turner argued that inaction on global warming “will be catastrophic” and those who don’t die “will be cannibals.”

What else can I say? These people will say anything to get us to conform to their agenda. I’m not going to waste any more of my time on this story.

12 Year Old Boy May Face Charges For Saving His Mother From an Attacker

April 2, 2008

This is the story of a boy who was trying to protect his mother from an attacker. The 12 year old boy heard his mother screaming and ran out to see what was the matter. He found a man on top of his mother trying to strangle her.

“He threw me into the door so hard it hit my back, and it made my chest start hurting,” she said. “Then he threw me to the floor. He threw me down and started choking me. I think that’s when my son came in. . . . He protected me.”

The boy then tried to yell at the man to let his mother go, to leave her alone. The attacker ignored the boy.

The boy, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds, said he acted because he thought he had no choice. “He was hitting her with the broom; then he was choking her,” the boy said. “I told him to stop.”

The boy then did the only thing that he could think of to save his mother’s life. He stabbed him with a kitchen knife.

He grabbed a knife that he said his family had last used to cut turkey at Thanksgiving dinner.

“I knew I had to kill him so he would stop hurting my mother,” he said.

Once she was freed, Stamp said she yelled upstairs for someone to call police. She said her son took her by the arm and led her into their bedroom.

This boy acted on instinct and did the only thing that he could think of to save his mother from being murdered. So how is he being rewarded?

Law enforcement officials were reviewing evidence yesterday and had not decided whether to file charges.

There is a possibility that charges are going to be pressed against this boy for stopping a violent crime, and also insuring the criminal will never commit a violent crime against anyone ever again. It doesn’t seem as though charges are likely though.

“In Maryland, there can be a legitimate defense of third parties in the event of a violent attack,” State’s Attorney Glenn F. Ivey said. “That is a possibility in this case.”

A possibility? No shit. Are you trying to tell me that if you witness a violent crime you are supposed to do nothing because there is a chance you could face jail time if you do? If jail time is possible for stopping a crime, then what should the punishment be for not doing anything while a violent crime is being committed?

This is backward logic. If a person ever broke into my house and was trying to harm my wife or children and I had the chance to stop him, I would not think twice about it. I would rather spend the rest of my life in jail for having defended my family than live the rest of my life knowing I let something horrible happen to someone in my family and I had the chance to stop it. I shouldn’t face jail time for protecting my family. Neither should this boy.

Hamas Children’s Puppet Show Depicts President Bush’s Assassination

April 1, 2008

Last May I wrote a post about how Hamas was using a Mickey Mouse lookalike to teach children about the glories of Jihad on a television show. You can watch clips from some of the episodes by clicking here.

Below is a clip from the season finale in which the Mickey Mouse lookalike was martyred by a Jew. Remember, this is being taught to young children.

Hamas is now at it again with a new children’s show. At the risk of being called a white supremacist and a xenophobe again by hit and run commenters on my blog such as red diaper baby, I am now going to write about Hama’s new show.

In Hama’s newest children’s show a puppet representing President Bush is assassinated by a child.

The President Bush puppet, dressed in an army uniform and black boxing gloves, asks to speak to the child’s parents, but the child replies that he is an orphan.

“You killed daddy in the Iraq war,” the puppet says. “As for my mom — you and the criminal Zionists killed her in Lebanon. You and the criminal Zionists also killed my younger and older brothers in the Gaza holocaust. I’m an orphan, you criminal!” the child cries.

The puppet vows to take revenge on Bush with “this sword of Islam.”

“I have brought thousands [and] thousands of children from Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. You have denied all these children their fathers and mothers. That’s why I have come to take revenge on you and on all the criminal traitors who collaborated with you,” he says.

The child puppet repeatedly stabs Bush, after telling him the White House has been turned into “a great mosque for the nation of Islam.”

This is what Hamas teaches their children from a very young age. They are teaching their children pure hatred.

I know there is a certain segment of the population out there that blames America for the hatred these people have for us. I know there is a certain segment of the population that blames President Bush for 9/11. I know there is a certain population out there that thinks that Islamists have every right to hate America. But that is not the point. The point goes deeper than that. The point is that Hamas is corrupting the minds of these children at such a young age that they believe they will be rewarded in heaven for killing infidels.

It’s not just President Bush, and it’s not just Americans, it even goes beyond their hatred for the Jews. The Islamists believe that it is their God given right to rule the whole world under Islamic law, and that is what they are teaching their children.

This is where I post my disclaimer that I understand that not all Muslims believe this is the case, it is just a certain percentage of Muslims that become Islamists. And it is that percentage that must be stopped.

Hillary Clinton Didn’t Pay Health Care Premiums For Her Campaign Staff

March 31, 2008

hillarydevil.jpg Hillary Clinton believes that all Americans have the right to health care. She has vowed to make all of us working stiffs pay for the health care of those who either do not want it or can’t afford it. Personally, I can think of better ways to use the money Hillary is going to take away from me to provide health care for someone I don’t know. I would like to make further provisions for MY family rather than have the government force me to provide for someone else’s family. It is not my responsibility to provide for other people’s families, it is their responsibility to provide for themselves.

Hillary has no problem spending other people’s money, she just has a little problem spending her own. The woman who wants us to provide all Americans with health care doesn’t have the same desire for herself. Hillary Clinton has left the health care premiums for her campaign staff unpaid.

Among the debts reported this month by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign, the $292,000 in unpaid health insurance premiums for her campaign staff stands out.

This is just too ironic, isn’t it. The excuse of her campaign not having enough money to pay for health care rings hollow if you ask me. It rings hollow to me because Democrats keep reminding us that the economy is bad. They keep reminding us that the middle class is being squeezed, and that Americans are not as well of as they were in the 1990’s. In spite of all of these struggles the middle class supposedly has, we will still be expected to pick up the health care costs of the uninsured through more taxes. Putting a further burden on the class that Democrats say is already stretched to the limits.

So I don’t want to hear that the Clinton campaign can’t afford to pay for health care for others. That excuse will not work for middle class families when their paycheck takes a hit in order to fund health care, and it should not work for Hillary either.

Hillary Clinton May Lose Texas

March 30, 2008
tags:

hillaryrubbinghands.jpg Hillary Clinton claimed a primary victory in Texas back on March 4th. And technically she did win the primary, there is one small problem however. Texas has a two step process to determine the winner of the state. So while Mrs. Clinton won the initial primary, Texas still had to hold caucuses to hand out their final delegate count. Barack Obama is winning the Texas caucuses and will likely win more delegates from Texas than Hillary Clinton.

That may mean he can win more overall delegates in Texas even though Mrs. Clinton won the initial primary vote, as Mr. Obama’s campaign claimed in a triumphant statement late Saturday.

 Hillary’s campaign doesn’t agree:

The Clinton campaign scoffed at that and predicted a strong showing once all the results were counted.

If Obama does end up with an overall victory in Texas and is awarded more delegates than Clinton I would have to think that the pressure that Hillary Clinton is feeling from party insiders to withdraw would grow much more intense. I don’t think there is any chance that Hillary will quit the race before the convention, she has waited so long for her chance at the presidency and she feels as though it is her right to be president. She won’t give up now.

A Texas loss would have to be devastating to her campaign.

Video: Fitna, The Banned Anti-Koran Movie

March 29, 2008

Below is the controversial anti-Koran film entitled Fitna. It has been removed from the website that originally hosted it. I don’t know how long this video will be available, but it must be seen by as many people as possible before it is removed. This video was already removed from Live Leak because they received death threats.

Warning: this video contains graphic scenes.

Moveon.org Demonstrates Against Fox News

March 29, 2008

It is amazing to me how scared liberals are of the other side’s opinions. Why are they so afraid of debate? Could it be that they know they can’t win a debate, so instead they try to de-legitimize the other side? I am referring to moveon.org and their recent demonstration against Fox News.

About 22 demonstrators gathered outside the ABC News building in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to deliver a petition reportedly bearing 200,000 signatures of people who agree that “FOX News is a Republican mouthpiece” and that networks, including ABC News, should stop “parroting” the Fox News Channel’s talking points.
“Fox News is taking us away from issues that are really pressing and creating a sense that we shouldn’t be focusing on these issues but should be more focused on tabloid issues. We know that Fox News is not a legitimate news organization. It is a Republican mouthpiece. Yet the rest of the media is taking its talking points from Fox,” Domansky added.

Fox News isn’t legitimate because when they debate a subject they have a liberal and a conservative on and they actually debate that subject? This is unlike all of the other news outlets who have people like George Staphylococcus and James Carville on to debate the same side of the argument. How balanced is that? God forbid there is an open and honest debate about the issues.

Moveon.org doesn’t think that debate is good. In a way they are like the global warming alarmists who try to tell us the debate is over.

Debate is good, debate is how we are supposed to iron out issues. We are not supposed to stifle debate. We are not supposed to stifle free speech, we are not supposed to stifle freedom of the press. Yet that is what these people are trying to do. Why?

It’s kind of funny how when it comes to certain liberties that the left feels are being taken away under the patriot act, that’s wrong. However they have no problem going after conservative talk radio with the “Fairness in Radio” doctrine, and they have no problem going after Fox News. They have no problem with those certain unalienable rights being attacked. They also have no problem going after personal behavior choices such as smoking. I suppose it just matters who the person is that is taking away those rights, not the fact that rights are being extinguished.

But let someone try to debate an issue from a conservative viewpoint and watch how fast they are willing to shut you down! They must feel threatened.

I will be the first to admit that I take every opportunity to go after liberals and people that don’t agree with me on this blog. I make no bones about it. But I would never not allow opposing viewpoints to be argued by people who comment here. I allow every comment that is made here to stay here. I have been called many names and have been sworn at, I have been told that I am the type of person that is tearing this country apart. Why? Because I disagree with the person who is leaving the comment. But I let those comments remain. Why? Because those people are allowed to have an opinion here, and I will not shut down debate because I disagree with the person commenting here. It is what America is about. That is a big difference between me and the people who are protesting Fox News.

That is the problem that I have with this group protesting Fox News. Do they have the right to? Yes, but the whole basis of their protest is simply that they consider Fox News to be the mouth piece for Republicans. And because of this they want Fox News to be de-legitimized on the basis that Fox News is considered by them to have a differing opinion than they do. Is it a crime for people to have differing opinions? No, as a matter of fact I think it is healthy for differing opinions to be aired and debated. As a matter of fact it is essential to the future of the country.

On a final note, don’t these people have something better to do with their time than protest a news network?

New Hampshire Budget Shortfall is Worse than Expected

March 29, 2008

lynch-h-igher-taxes-higher-tolls.jpg This recent New Hampshire Union Leader article points out that the projected $50 million shortfall fo this fiscal year alone was wildly optimistic. So was the projected $150 million dollar shortfall over the two years of the budget. From a new report by  Charlie Arlinghaus, president of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy, we now learn the following.

“revenues will end the year at least $91 million behind the budget and even higher if business taxes also deteriorate. The two-year budget shortfall will be between $205 million and $250 million.” The fiscal year ends on June 30, 2008, and the two-year budget cycle ends on June 30, 2009.

And he is being conservative in his two year estimate.

Arlinghaus said without any mitigating factors the shortfall could be as high as $296 million by June 30, 2009. However, he said that uncertainty surrounding revenue from business taxes, insurance taxes and Medicaid enhancement lead him to conclude that the revenue shortfall “will be between $205 million and $258 million.”

This is the same man who warned governor Lynch that the revenue estimates from all of the increased taxes were way to optimistic to support Lynch’s unheard of spending increases. Governor Lynch, drunk with his new liberal tax and spend power, refused to listen to reason as he began rolling around on the floor in piles of new money that formerly belonged to the taxpayers.

Well governor, you better stop blaming the president for your irresponsible spending and do something. And by something I don’t mean rasing taxes again. You tried that once, and this is what happens.

CUT SPENDING NOW. Return New Hampshire to it’s fiscally responsible self, grow up and take responsibility for your actions. You were warned from the beginning, so stop whinning about the national economy and do what is right.

You fucked up, it’s okay. NOW FIX IT!
