Mark Meadows claims there could be criminal referrals coming for people tied to Fusion GPS
Now that the Mueller investigation is over we are beginning to see criminal referrals being handed down. However these referrals are not exactly what the Democrats had hoped for when they began the investigation.
First we learned that Devin Nunes was sending criminal referrals to the Department of Justice over FISA abuses and now, according to this story, Mark Meadows is preparing criminal referrals of two or three individuals with ties to Fusion GPS for lying to the Congress. Here is more:
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said on Tuesday that he knows of “two or three individuals” tied to Fusion GPS who could be the subject of criminal referrals for lying to Congress.
Washington Post reporter Robert Costa asked Meadows if Republicans have any criminal referrals in mind after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the 22-month Russia investigation.
“I can tell you that there are two or three individuals that we believe could have potentially given false testimony to Congress,” Meadows said. “And we have been looking at that, reviewing not only the Mueller report, but comparing those to transcribed interviews that might have happened in Congress.”
He suggested that these referrals could relate to the infamous Trump dossier and opposition research firm Fusion GPS, which commissioned the dossier’s author Christopher Steele. “I do have great concerns on the role, not just Fusion GPS, but those associated with it played early on and how was that used or not used as it relates to this investigation,” he said.
It looks as though after two years of investigating the hunters might have become ensnared in their own trap and the tables are turning. We still do not know who Mark Meadows was referring to but this story gets more interesting every single day.

We have seen the global warming alarmists come up with some pretty outrageous theories and doomsday scenarios in order to get realists behind the idea that humans are causing the temperatures across the globe to rise and that only the government (through taxes) can control the weather and save the world.
One of my favorite theories is the notion that global warming is responsible for terrorism and illegal immigration. The theory goes like this: Because the temperatures are rising crops have not been able to grow in the deserts in the Middle East (I know, I know!) and in turn this has led some to become terrorists in order to make money for their families and at the same time this is also creating environmental refugees who are sneaking over the border illegally.
As silly as that theory is this story is about a different type of alien and is even more outrageous. An Oxford professor is claiming that global warming is causing space aliens to breed with humans in an effort to create some king of hybrid which can adapt to the increasing temperatures. Here is more:
An Oxford Professor has been busy promoting his view that aliens are breeding with humans to produce alien / human hybrids which have a better chance of surviving the coming climate catastrophe.
The Oxford Student has learnt that Dr Young-hae Chi, Professor at Oxford’s Oriental Institute, believes in a strong correlation between climate change and alien abductions.
In his fifty-five minute presentation he cited Dr David Jacobs, an ‘abduction researcher’ in the US, who argued that aliens’ primary purpose is to colonise the earth, by interbreeding with humans to produce a new hybrid species. Second generation ‘hybrids’ are, according to Jacobs, walking unobserved among us.
He pointed out that the timing of aliens’ appearance coincides with the earth facing major problems, climate change and nuclear weapons in particular.
He concludes that “it may be more or less assumed that the hybrid project is a response to this impending demise of human civilisation”.
I laugh when I read stories like this because the global warming alarmists get more and more insane every day but then I remember that these people are in charge of teaching our young people and then I do not find it so funny any more…

Bombshell report on James Comey coming in two weeks?
Call me skeptical but strangely optimistic on this one, but it is being reported here that there is a report coming out on James Comey in about two weeks about the FBI FISA abuses. This is supposedly in addition to Horowitz’s Inspector General’s report which is due out sometime in May.
We know how the Republicans are, this is probably just a bunch of bravado with nothing serious behind it but here is what former US Attorney Joe diGenova had to say a couple of days ago:
This is pretty simple stuff for career prosecutors like Rudy and myself. It has been evident since day one that there has been a brazen plot to exonerate Hillary Clinton illegally and then if she lost the election, to frame Donald Trump. This dossier was a knowing part of that. It was created by Hillary Clinton. It was created knowingly by John Brennan as part of a scheme to do everything they could to harm Donald Trump. The problem for Brennan and Clapper and Comey and Baker and all of them now is the FISA Court has already communicated with the Justice Department about its findings. And their findings are that for more than four years before the election of Donald Trump there was an illegal spying operation going on by FBI contractors, four of them, to steal information on Americans and to use it against the Republican Party. There are going to be indictments. There are going to be grand juries. John Brennan is not going to need one lawyer. He’s going to need five.
He is claiming there are going to be indictments and John Brennan could be in real trouble, but he did not stop there:
The Horowitz report is coming out in May or early June. There’s another report that everyone has forgotten about involving James Comey alone. That will be out in two weeks. That report is going to be a bombshell. It is going to open up the investigation on a very high note and there are going to be criminal referrals in it.
In addition to the Inspector General report he is claiming there is another report coming out on James Comey and it sounds like John Brennan is not the only one who is going to need a lawyer.
I have to be honest, I do not remember hearing anything about an investigation into James Comey but if this is true and it is as bad as it is being played up to be it could get very interesting in a short amount of time.
With these two reports coming out and with the promise of declassifying the FISA documents looming over their heads there should be a few people in the FBI who are shaking in their boots.

Back in February Donald Trump announced a rule change to the Title X program which would cut a rather small portion of Planned Parenthood’s funding. With the rule change set to go into effect in a few weeks a judge in Oregon has announced he is going to issue an injunction against the rule change.
Here is more:
U.S. District Judge Michael J. McShane late Tuesday said he’ll grant a preliminary injunction against new federal restrictions that bar taxpayer-funded family planning clinics from referring patients to abortion providers, calling the rule a “ham-fisted approach to public health policy.”
Oregon is one of 20 states and the District of Columbia that challenged the Trump administration’s changes to the Title X family planning program in U.S. District Court in Oregon, along with Planned Parenthood affiliates and the American Medical Association.
McShane said the so-called “gag rule” — barring physicians from referring patients who don’t want to continue their pregnancies to an abortion provider — prevents doctors from behaving like medical professionals.
He said the rule, which is set to go into effect May 3, represents an “arrogant assumption” that government is better suited to direct health care instead of providers.
He also announced he was issuing an injunction against another rule change:
The judge said he’d also grant a preliminary injunction to stop another change — the so-called “separation” rule prohibiting federally funded family planning clinics from being housed in the same place as abortion providers.
We knew this was going to happen, the only real surprise here is how long it took. When conservatives were fighting against the Executive actions of Barack Obama we were told by the left that it was well within the President’s prerogative to make rule changes and direct agencies how to operate.
But that does not seem to be the case anymore, funny how that works isn’t it?!

If you were hoping that the Mueller report would bring an end to the investigations into Donald Trump you were sadly mistaken. Even though Democrats warned Republicans they must accept the results of the Mueller probe Democrats have had a tough time accepting it themselves.
The next phase has begun with the news today that the House Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed former White House Counsel Don McGahn over the report that the President wanted Robert Mueller fired. Here is more:
U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler on Monday subpoenaed former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify before the panel in its investigation of possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.
A report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller publicly released on Thursday by the Justice Department said Trump asked McGahn to fire Mueller as he was investigating suspected Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election and possible coordination between Trump campaign members and Moscow officials.
“Mr. McGahn is a critical witness to many of the alleged instances of obstruction of justice and other misconduct described in the Mueller report,” Nadler said.
So the beat goes on and the goal here is to ensure that Donald Trump is still being investigated during the 2020 election so it can be used as a campaign issue. The goal is not to impeach because that would bring closure and the last thing the Democrats want is for this to end.

Donald Trump is preparing to declassify FISA documents
When the Mueller investigation concluded and the report exonerated the President, Devin Nunes declared it was time to go on the offensive and prepared criminal referrals to the Department of Justice related to alleged FISA abuses.
Donald Trump has threatened to declassify documents related to the FISA abuses but to date he has not done it. Now that the investigation is over it looks as if the Trump administration is taking a second look at declassifying these documents as part of said offensive. Here is more:
With the contents of the Mueller report now public, President Trump and key White House aides are said to be taking a fresh look at declassifying documents that GOP allies believe will expose unlawful actions at the Department of Justice and the FBI purportedly taken against the Trump campaign in 2016.
Attorney General William Barr has already begun investigating the investigators at both the DOJ and FBI.
DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, probing the same matters, is said to be drafting his final report, due within six weeks or so.
Any declassification by the president is expected to occur around that time and to focus on the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in October 2016.
William Barr has already stated that the Obama administration did spy on the Trump campaign and is now investigating to determine if it was justified. If it is true that the Department of Justice was unlawfully spying on the Trump campaign than these documents need to be declassified so we can see the depth of corruption and the lengths a sitting President would go to influence the outcome of the election. The integrity of the election process is at stake, as the Democrats have been saying for two years…
I believe it was a good idea not to declassify these documents while the Mueller investigation was ongoing because the left would have claimed the President was trying to either influence or obstruct the investigation, now that the investigation is over it is time to declassify the information and I hope that Donald Trump makes good on this.

He is risen!
He is risen!
“When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go and anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.” (Mark 16:1-4 NIV)
“But when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood before them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he is risen!” (Luke 24:3-6 NIV)
This is a repost of an article I wrote last year with a couple of minor changes.
John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (KJV) This is a relatively simple Bible verse to understand on the surface–to lay down one’s life to protect a friend is the greatest love a person can display toward a person he truly loves. To give your life to save a life, what more dedication can a person show, but how many people are actually willing to do it? Most of us think we would do it but none of us know how we would react to a life or death situation until/unless it presents itself to us.
But while this Bible verse is easy to understand from a human standpoint it comes with greater implications when put into context because Jesus laid down his life willingly for His friends; past, present, and future–not just the eleven. Or should I say the twelve? Could Judas have been saved if he repented and asked for forgiveness instead of killing himself? Just a thought, I do not know…
Jesus laid down His life willingly (more on that shortly) to save all of us–we are all Jesus’ friends if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. I use John 15:14 as an example of this when Jesus says “you are all my friends.” Jesus is talking directly to His apostles here but Jesus died for all of us, not just His apostles, so I believe all disciples of Christ are included in this teaching. (If I have misinterpreted this verse or applied too broad of an interpretation here I will gladly accept correction.)
I am “tempted” here to say Jesus laid down His life for people He did not know but I am reminded of Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee” so He does know us and He saved us, but He did more than save our bodies, He saved our souls.
This brings me to John 10:18: “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.” (KJV) I get a shiver down my spine every time I read these words! The Pharisees and the Sadducees were looking for excuses to kill Jesus from early on but every time they tested Him (do not put the Lord your God to the test, Deuteronomy 6:19, Luke 4:12) Jesus had a brilliant response they could not counter. But when Jesus’ time had come and it was time for Him to be glorified His life was not taken from Him, He laid it down willingly. This is incredibly powerful to me!
During Jesus’ illegal trial it must have seemed odd to his accusers that instead of defending Himself He remained mostly silent, but on the occasions on which He spoke He seemed to condemn Himself. It must have seemed to His accusers that He wanted to die, but that is not true. Matthew 26:39 shows us Jesus did not want to die but Jesus knew that He needed to die to save us all and that is a huge difference!
This leads me to another powerful verse: “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45 KJV)
A ransom is defined as “a sum of money or other payment demanded or paid for the release of a prisoner.” The “other payment demanded” was the life of Jesus and the prisoners who were released are all of those who are slaves to sin (Romans 6:20 NIV) if we accept the ransom as paid in full.
So in closing I will ask, are you one of Jesus’ friends? Have you accepted the ransom?
I had intended to end this post here but it occurred to me after rereading what I wrote that my post is not quite complete, in fact it seems a little watered down. I made it sound as if, in today’s equivalent and admittedly probably a bad analogy, all you have to do is like or friend Jesus on Facebook and all will be okay. But Jesus added a condition which I neglected when He said “you are all friends” in John 15:14 because Jesus continues with “if ye do whatsoever I command you.”
It is not enough to say you love Jesus, you have to live Jesus and obey Jesus.
