Video Tribute: Fourth of July
Hillary Rodham Clinton’s chief strategist is being accused of illegal eavesdropping in a civil lawsuit that alleges he and his polling firm monitored the personal e-mails of a former associate who started a rival company.Mitchell E. Markel, a former vice president at polling firm Penn, Schoen & Berland, claims in the suit that the firm began monitoring all messages sent from his personal Blackberry device nearly a month after he had resigned and become president of his new business. The suit claims that the founder of the firm, Mark Penn, who is Clinton’s strategist and pollster, knew about and approved of the monitoring, which the suit says violates federal wiretapping laws.
First we have Hillary being involved in campaign finance law violations, now her campaign is involved in illegal wiretapping. And all this time I thought President Bush was the one committing the illegal wiretapping. Of course we know that the president is involved in a FORIEGN surveillance program, but now we learn that Hillary is the one involved in a DOMESTIC wiretapping scandal.
Another case of TGTCIAD, (thank God the candidate is a democrat), if she were a Republican candidate she would already have stepped down. These are two major violations that have been committed and there isn’t a word said about it in the mainstream media. The double standard echoes loudly in this case.
This should become a major campaign issue, after all, the candidates campaigned on returning ethics to congress last year (they failed), shouldn’t the candidates be hammering Hillary on her lack of ethics?
But they won’t, we know what happens when you cross the Clintons.
I believe the thwarted terror attacks in Britian were a bit of a test for the new British prime minister. The terrorists are watching with great interest to see how Gordon Brown responds. After the attack attempts he has said all the right things.
Until now. Read more…
Well, the president commuting the sentence of Scooter Libby has really upset the left. This commuting just negates the prison sentence, it is not a pardon, Libby is still a convicted felon. This commutation prompted Hillary Clinton to say the following:
“What we saw today was elevating cronyism over the rule of law. And what we saw today was further evidence that this administration has no regard whatsoever for what needs to be held sacred,” she told the BBC.
This had me intrigued as I seemed to remember President Clinton wielding the pardon pen quite liberally. I looked up the pardons and commutations of President Clinton, and here they are.

So it seems to me that while Hillary may be an expert on cronyism, she has no right to speek on this issue with any kind of moral high ground. If I were Hillary’s consultant I might advise her to keep her mouth shut on this issue.
Not much has changed, but here are the numbers:
The American Research Group’s June 27-30 poll of 600 likely Republican primary voters has Romney with the support of 27 percent of those surveyed, compared to 21 percent for McCain and 19 percent for Giuliani.
The new poll also shows that among 600 likely Democratic primary voters, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton continues to lead the Democratic pack with 34 percent, unchanged since May, but that Barack Obama has moved ahead of John Edwards and into second place, with the support 25 percent of those polled. Edwards was backed by 18 percent of those polled in May, while Obama in May was backed by 15 percent. The June poll shows Edwards at 15 percent.
The truth about it is, it’s not fiscally responsible. Since when can you justify a 17.5% increase in spending coupled with taxes increases on everything from cigarettes, to car registrations, to milk?
I am still looking for the governor’s approval ratings, and I still can’t find them. Isn’t that strange? No it’s not, he’s a Democrats so we don’t see daily approval ratings when they are bad. I’m assuming they are down because we used to see them all the time when he had record highs for New Hampshire.
Here is an editorial from the New Hampshire Union Leader that hits the nail on the head:
Gov. John Lynch last week called the new state budget “fiscally responsible.” That would be the same budget that raises state spending by 17.5 percent. Which makes one wonder, how big a budget would legislators have to create before Lynch would call it fiscally irresponsible?
Lawmakers raised so many taxes and fees that we would use most of our space here just listing them all. And by the way, those new taxes and fees fell disproportionately upon the poor and lower-middle class.
The cigarette tax was raised 28 cents to $1.08 the pack. As the poor are more likely to smoke, they’ll pay the brunt of that tax hike. People will also pay more to register a vehicle, hunt wild turkey, make civil court filings (except for filings involving children, landlord/tenant disputes, domestic violence, stalking and small claims), use the telephone, do environmental testing and some land alteration. Most of those increases will hit low-income folks the hardest. But hey, the money is being confiscated by well-meaning Democrats, so that’s excusable.
Among this year’s largesse, legislators expanded subsidized health insurance to middle-class families and raised spending on other social services, dedicated $12 million to the Land and Community Heritage Investment Program and obligated the state to fund vast new public education duties.
Not all of these ideas are bad ones. But instead of seeing what the state could afford and adjusting the budget accordingly, the Democratic leadership in Concord drew up a wish list then raised taxes and fees to pay for it. That is irresponsible budgeting.
House Democrats even killed a Senate attempt to save money by allowing department heads more freedom to set their own budgets. But instead of letting commissioners have the flexibility to find budget savings, the House insisted on dictating how state dollars would be spent.
The people elected Gov. John Lynch and a Democratic legislative majority last year in a landslide partly because they believed Gov. Lynch could keep spending in check. This budget proves that he cannot. Even if Lynch’s own budget priorities were more prudent, the legislative leadership’s are not, and they are running the show in Concord nowadays.
As I have previously written about here, Hamas has killed off Mickey Mouse in a children’s show that promotes Jihad. They portrayed Mickey Mouse being martyred by a Jew. Hamas has been using children’s shows to promote their cause, and one example was using Mickey Mouse as an anti-Israeli, Jihad promoting children’s character.
You can now see the video of Mickey Mouse’s martyrdom here.
Since the Democrats have been in power, nothing has been acomplished by them. They haven’t been able to stop the was as they promised. Only a fool thought they would step in and end the war anyway.
They passed domestic legislation in their much publicized first 100 hours in congress. (Even though they called a timeout in the middle of the first 100 hours so they all could go home and watch the national championship college football game, before restarting the clock.) But only one piece of that legislation has become law. A meaningless minimum wage increase. This whole notion that families are trying to earn a living at minimum wage is absurd. It’s highschool teenagers, and entry level workers earning that pay. When you show improvement, you move up the payscale.
So now Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid admit their’s is the do nothing congress. Read more…
New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch signes Parental Notification Repeal Bill, Shows a Real Lack of Leadership
Friday Governor Lynch made it official and signed the parental notification repeal bill. This bill repeals the law which said a MINOR has to have a parent’s permission to have an abortion. What a radical idea. Governor Lynch doesn’t believe that parents have the right to know if their daughters are acting in a dangerous way, and putting themselves at risks for diseases that are worse than pregnancy. Your daughter can’t go on a field trip with school without a permission slip, yet an abortion is okay?
Anyway, I kind of got side tracked, I wanted to talk about a different issue with this bill. Read more…
Global Warming Claims Melt Under Scrutiny
Here we go again on one of my favorite subjects, trying to debunk the man-made global warming myth.
Many of the assertions Gore makes in his movie, ”An Inconvenient Truth,” have been refuted by science, both before and after he made them. Gore can show sincerity in his plea for scientific honesty by publicly acknowledging where science has rebutted his claims.
Scientific honesty? Who ever said Al Gore wanted scientific honesty? Al Gore wants your money that is why he is perpetuating this fraud on the American people, that’s all. If he wanted honesty he wouldn’t be claiming that the debate is over. Hell, the debate never began. He would be willing to debate the issue. Who the hell made a politician an expert on the environment anyway? Read more…
