You have probably heard about the terror plot that was thwarted in the United States today.
The plan was to use RPG’s and ak 47’s to attack Fort Dix and other military bases in the United States with the goal of killing as many soldiers as they could.
The plan was broken up when the men attempted to buy the weapons from undercover FBI agents. The planning aspect of this attack appears to have been just about complete and they were getting close to executing the plan.
One thing I find scary is that these terrorists felt emboldened, this was a hard target they were going to go after, not a soft target. They feel America’s resolve is waning and they wanted to take advantage.
The most under-reported aspect of this story is the fact that three of the men were illegal immigrants. Our borders are open and we have no idea who is slipping into the country. Now, I believe that I heard that the three terrorists who were here illegally had overstayed their visas, they did not enter the country illegally. That does not matter. What does matter is that we have a legal procedure to enter and stay in the country, and people who are breaking these laws are not being punished. Some illegals are coming here to work. Some are coming here to collect welfare, and get free healthcare through the emergency rooms. And some are coming here to do great harm to our country. We need to enforce our immigration laws, we have no idea how many terrorists are currently in the country because of our lax immigration enforcement.
I just hope we don’t hear politicians start saying that they question the timing of these arrests. We have heard this before. President Bush’s approval ratings have hit an all time low according to some polls. I guarantee that you will read on the far left blogs that this was a Karl Rove plan to raise the president’s approval ratings.
This is a scary time we are living in. It’s time for Americans to wake up to the issues in front of us before it’s too late. Not just the immigration laws that allow these people to sneak into the country illegally, but to the fact that there are people out there whose goal it is to change our whole way of life. The radical Islamists not only want the world ruled by Islamist law, they believe it is their sworn duty according to their religion. Our whole culture is under attack.
I only hope America has the courage to fight for what she believes in.
I know our president does.
Here is a letter from Hoshyar Zebari, Iraq’s foreign minister, that appeared in the New Hampshire Union Leader. This shows a side of the story that the media is all too reluctant to show.
Do I think everything is going great over there? No, but I think the media is almost criminal in the way that they are framing this war. There are many acts of bravery, courage, and victory that the media chooses to ignore.
Hoshyar Zebari writes in this piece how Iraqi’s are now able to go to the amusement park, play soccer, or just have a picnic. Things we take for granted but are a sign of real progress over there.
If President Bush had told us we were going into Iraq for these types of humanitarian issues the left would have no problem supporting the war, but because it’s for national defence we must get out. They want us out of Iraq, but in Darfur where there is no national defence issue but a humanitarian issue. Their logic is backward.
We remain determined in spite of our losses. Spectacular attacks may dominate foreign headlines, but they cannot change the reality that Iraq has made steady political, economic and social progress over the past four years. We continue to strengthen our nascent democratic institutions, pursue national reconciliation and expand Iraqi security forces. The Baghdad security plan was conceived to give us breathing space to expedite political and economic development by “securing and holding” neighborhoods across the capital. There is no quick fix, but there have been real results: Winning public confidence has led to a spike in intelligence, a disruption of terrorist networks and the capture of key leaders, as well as the discovery of weapons caches. In Anbar province, Sunni sheiks and insurgents have turned against al-Qaida and to the side of Iraqi security forces. This would have been unthinkable even six months ago.
I call on the American people to show the same resolve as Hoshyar Zebari.

Wake Up America
Joe Biden Wages War on the War on Terror
No surprise here, Joe Biden doesn’t believe we are in a war on terror.
“The President continues to talk about ‘the war on terror.’ That is simply wrong,” Biden, who now chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said in a speech at the National Press Club last September.”Terrorism is a means, not an end, and very different groups and countries are using it toward very different goals. If we can’t even identify the enemy or describe the war we’re fighting, it’s difficult to see how we will win.”
There it is again, another person on the left saying we can’t win. This is very maddening to me, there is no war that America can’t win, but we can’t use our full force or the liberals would really hang George Bush out to dry. Can you imagine if we did everything in our power to win this war, even if it meant bombing the mosques and hospitals they hide in? We are doing our best to fight a politically correct war which means we can’t use all our might. We are in essence fighting with one hand tied behind our backs and we wonder why the war drags on and on.
Biden’s staff has preferred other phrasing and there has not been a problem with that,” said Andy Fisher, a spokesman for the committee’s senior Republican, Richard Lugar.
And how does Biden explain how he kept the phrase out of legislation when the Democrats were in the minority?
The Republicans “would want to get whatever it was passed, and they knew I’d be the bastard at the family picnic who wasn’t afraid to take the heat being ‘weak on terror’ — I’d go in and rip them up,” he told the Politico.
Biden isn’t alone on the Hill in his objection to the phrase. In March, the House Budget Committee banned “global war on terror” from the 2008 budget.
Just deny that we are in a war, that sounds like a good idea, doesn’t it? The Democrats are so week on this issue it is frightening to think what our future holds if they ever gain full control of the government.
“I think that the whole political establishment of both parties has been either confused or a little intimidated by the president’s jargon when he talks about terror,” Biden said.
Intimidated by the president’s jargon, that’s all we are dealing with here, jargon. How can so many people forget what happened to this country when we believed the radical Islamists were just spewing jargon? The war on terror is real Sen. Biden, whether or not you have the courage to admit it.
Nancy Pelosi Caught in the Culture of Corruption
While surfing gopbloggers I came across this story about Nancy Pelosi. It seems she has included a provision in a water redevelopment bill that could benefit property her husband owns in San Francisco.
Isn’t it strange that this is never metioned in the main stream media? No, I guess it’s just par for the course. The double standard is amazing, isn’t it.
Birth Control to stop Global Warming
Here is the latest on how to stop global warming. People need to stop reproducing in order to stop global warming. People exhale carbon dioxide, which is what is considered to cause global warming. There is no way that nature itself contributes to global warming, something as natural as breathing is not destroying the planet. I think there may be more at play here. Anything to justify abortion and planned parenthood.
HAVING large families should be frowned upon as an environmental misdemeanour in the same way as frequent long-haul flights, driving a big car and failing to reuse plastic bags, says a report to be published today by a green think tank.
The paper by the Optimum Population Trust will say that if couples had two children instead of three they could cut their family’s carbon dioxide output by the equivalent of 620 return flights a year between London and New York.
An environmental misdemeanour? What are they talking about. This is all about control and taxes. The global warming alarmists are trying to tell us what to drive, what to eat(cow farts are bad for the environment, we must stop eating meat), to stop barbecuing, and now how many children we can have. This is insane, we need to keep getting the word out there about what is going on.
Professor Guillebaud says rich countries should be the most concerned about family size as their children have higher per capita carbon dioxide emissions.
There’s the class envy card being played in the global warming scam. People better wake up before we put people in charge who are going to regulate our every day activities, and family desicions, not to mention the taxes on carbon emmissions. these are the real goals of the global warming movement.
From wbz.com :
According to a SurveyUSA poll of 551 likely Republican Primary voters, Mitt Romney gathered 32%, followed by Rudy Guiliani at 23% and John McCain with 22%. Fred Thompson finished fourth with 11%.
Compared to a similar poll released in January, Giuliani and McCain have each lost 10 points. Romney is up 11 points, resulting in a 21-point swing for Romney among likely GOP Primary voters.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton continues to dominate rivals Barack Obama and John Edwards.
In a poll of 589 likely Democratic Primary voters, Clinton gets 40%, Obama follows with 24%, while John Edwards trails with 22%.
Senator Clinton has maintained her lead in New Hampshire, there has been little movement in the Democrats poll numbers in here.
Mitt Romney seems to be benefiting from a very strong showing at last week’s debate, coupled with an ad blitz on Boston and New Hampshire radio and television.
We keep hearing that man-made global warming is a settled issue, that the debate is over, and that there are a consensus of scientists that it is a proven fact. We are told that we are the ones destroying the planet. If this is true about the consensus of scientists why am I so easily able to find so many who doubt man’s role in global warming? We don’t here about these people in the mainstream media, they just push the global warming agenda without questioning it.
From the article:
Bryson is a believer in climate change, in that he’s as quick as anyone to acknowledge that Earth’s climate has done nothing but change throughout the planet’s existence.
That’s where the subtle change in terminology comes into play. Gradually they have been slipping away from the term global warming, and into the term climate change. This will allow them to use any weather pattern as an example of climate change, not just the hot weather in the summer.
“Climate’s always been changing and it’s been changing rapidly at various times, and so something was making it change in the past,” he told us in an interview this past winter. “Before there were enough people to make any difference at all, two million years ago, nobody was changing the climate, yet the climate was changing, okay?”
“All this argument is the temperature going up or not, it’s absurd,” Bryson continues. “Of course it’s going up. It has gone up since the early 1800s, before the Industrial Revolution, because we’re coming out of the Little Ice Age, not because we’re putting more carbon dioxide into the air.”
Chimps are People Too
An Austrian court is going to decide whether or not chimps should be afforded the same rights as humans. We’re not talking about animal rights here, we are talking about HUMAN RIGHTS.
I was just going to post the link to this article, but as I read it I just couldn’t resist commenting so here goes.
The case centres around money given to Matthew by a well-wisher to safeguard his future after the animal home where he lived went bust. Ms Stibbe and her lawyers say he should have the same rights as a child and have a guardian to help him spend it. Ms Stibbe said: “Matthew likes watching TV and videos and playing games like any child, and can use signs and gestures to say what he wants. Of course he has the right to be recognised as an individual.”
So it seems this case was originally brought about by money. People will try anything for a buck.
The experts pointed out that chimps differ from humans by only 1 per cent of their genetic material, can accept a blood transfusion and can learn and use human languages through signs or symbols – although they lack the vocal dexterity to master speech.
I guess since they haven’t mastered speech yet Matthew will not be able to represent himself in a court of law. Of course not having mastered speech hasn’t stopped many other HUMANS from representing themselves.
Not all experts agree, however. Steve Jones, a professor of genetics at the University of London, said human rights did not apply to animals, adding: “If you start, where do you stop? Being human is unique and nothing to do with biology. Mice share 90 per cent of human DNA. Should they get 90 per cent of human rights? And plants have more DNA than humans. Chimps can’t speak, but parrots can – should they have rights too?”
We need to stop discriminating against the mice and the parrots, DAMMIT. What kind of decent society would allow this kind of discrimination to take place?
In captivity, chimpanzees can be taught human languages such as ASL (American Sign Language), learning 300 or more signs, and there are uncanny similarities in the nonverbal communication patterns of chimps and humans – examples include kissing, embracing, patting on the back, touching hands, tickling, swaggering, shaking the fist and brandishing sticks.
Kissing and embracing, that leads me to the following questions:
Will chimps have the right to an abortion? If they can learn to sign abortion, shouldn’t they be able to have one?
What about marriage? If chimps become classified as humans I believe we need to extend marriage rights to them.
If we extend marriage rights to chimps, than what about human-chimp marriage?
A man or woman should not be discriminated against if they want to marry a chimp.
There you have it, my lame attempt at humor. But how could I resist? When you see a story as ridiculous as that, don’t you have to take it with a grain of salt? The real funny part here is that this is actually going to go to court, wait a minute, maybe it’s not so funny after all.
Democrat Divide on the Iraq War grows
As the Democrats try to appease(there’s that word again) both sides of their party they could be driving a wedge between themselves and the anti-war faction of the party.Moveon.org is threatening the Democrat leadership if they give in at all on the Iraq war surrender bill the president vetoed last week:
On Thursday, leaders of the liberal group moveon.org including Tom Matzzie, the group’s Washington director who also serves as the campaign manager for the coalition, sent a harshly worded warning to the Democratic leadership.
“In the past few days, we have seen what appear to be trial balloons signaling a significant weakening of the Democratic position,” the letter read. “On this, we want to be perfectly clear: if Democrats appear to capitulate to Bush — passing a bill without measures to end the war — the unity Democrats have enjoyed and Democratic leadership has so expertly built, will immediately disappear.”
The letter went on to say that if Democrats passed a bill “without a timeline and with all five months of funding,” they would essentially be endorsing a “war without end.” MoveOn, it said, “will move to a position of opposition.”
The Democrats can ill afford to lose the support of moveon.org, they are going to have to appear to remain tough on this bill, but they know the American people do not support surrender and this could possibly cost them the general election.
The alliance, including MoveOn, chose to stick with Ms. Pelosi as she ushered through a war financing bill that included a timeline for withdrawal, but many peace advocates called the measure too timid. Some critics accused the alliance of becoming too cozy with the Democratic leadership and selling out the cause.
They are already upset at the Democrat leadership for not cutting off the funding, but stayed with Nancy Pelosi anyway, figuring it would be a somewhat acceptable start. But if they cave in and send a bill that doesn’t even have a time-line for defeat they may lose all support from moveon.org. Although I don’t know what alternative moveon.org would have. Perhaps they would have to go out and endorse even further left Democrats in the ’08 election, but they don’t want to wait that long.
“There’s a dividing line between those groups who feel the most important thing is to be clear on bringing the troops home as soon as possible, and the groups that feel that unity within the Democratic Party is most important and the most important thing is for the Democrats to win the White House,” said Medea Benjamin, a co-founder of Code Pink, an antiwar group that is not part of the alliance. “So the groups who feel the most important thing is to win the White House would naturally be more inclined to listening to Speaker Nancy Pelosi when she says the only way we can get a vote through is if we water it down.”
What’s missing in that last quote? None of them are talking about victory in Iraq, only victory in the presidential election. Winning the white-house is the biggest goal of the Democrats, second is surrendering to the terrorists. They are just afraid surrendering will also lose them the white-house.
“This is act one of a three-act play,” he said. “Act two will be the summer. During the summer, our job is to create a firestorm of opposition.”
Does that statement sound like someone trying to bring the country together? No, they are admitting that they are going to try to further divide the country. I find this absolutely reprehensible. But at least they are telling us where they are coming from. Our country is at war whether you want to admit it or not, and saying you are going to create dissent against a president fighting in our national defense is unforgivable.
The Democrats are going to try to straddle the fence between the hardcore anti-war left and the more reasonable moderate Democrats who believe victory is necessary.
It appears as though the Monday morning quarterbacks of the last six years have finally gotten into the game. Now that they are in the game they can’t decide whether to go deep for the touchdown to the anti war left or to keep going short to the moderate possession receivers. The endzone is the white-house and they can’t decide on the best game plan to get there.
