Did Karl Rove call for repealing the Second Amendment?
The internet has been abuzz with the news that Karl Rove called for the repeal of the Second Amendment this morning as the only way to guarantee an end to gun violence in America but is that really what he said?
Here is the video:
He clearly stated that repealing the Second Amendment is the only way to guarantee a drastic reduction in gun violence however he did state it was not going to happen until someone had the “oomph” to repeal it. If you stop listening to the video at this point it certainly sounds as if he longs for the day someone will step up to begin the repeal process, however he continued and when he did he said he did not think it was an answer.
So the question I have is this: what was Karl Rove really saying? This comment can be interpreted in two different ways altogether. Either he meant it was not an option period or he meant it was not an option because nobody was going to step up to the plate and call for its repeal.
Which one is it? I am not sure but I do know that as an establishment lackey who has made it his goal with the formation of a Super PAC to protect establishment Republicans against any and all challenges to their power that I do not trust him at all.
Even floating the idea that repealing the Second Amendment as the answer is something I have a major problem with. I find it troubling, what do you think?

Why didn’t anyone make the point that an armed church-goer could have stopped this madman?? Why didn’t anyone make the point that gun-free zones are shooting galleries???
Rove is wrong anyway. Repealing the 2nd doesn’t impact our Right in any way. The 2nd is a restriction on government, it’s not a grant to the People. Repealing the 2nd does not delegate authority to the federal government over our Right. That’s what too many people just.don’t.get. For the federal government to act on an object, the Constitution has to delegate it authority over that object. The Constitution delegates no authority to the federal government over firearms, ammunition, or our Rights.

If some of those old lady’s would carry a ‘peace keeper’ in those big hand bags of their’s they could’ve stopped it before it happened! I read where there might’ve been someone shooting, plus, “Supposedly our shooter used a .45 handgun he reloaded 4 or 5 times during the shooting. Ok, so how does that work? During reloading, you are going to have significant breaks in the shooting. Why did no one rush him when he was reloading? Why did everyone miss the opportunity, not once, not twice, not three times, but 4 or 5 times? That sounds REALLY STUPID on the face of things.”
To think I use to even consider Rove ‘human’ – too much fluoride in the water where I was living at that time! DUH.

Apparently the shooter did not realize it was a gun free zone because if he did I am sure he would have left it at home. 😉

It works in Chicago doesn’t it … we never hear them saying there’s a problem there!

Zip, Mr. Rove was shoved at us as a voice of authority, remember? Wasn’t he called “the architect”? He has been wrong on so many things, not sure why FOX would still have him on as a contributor.
As for the ladies and men at the prayer meeting, some people are just plain afraid of guns, period. They may not have known that it takes a certain amount of time to reload, even if you are fast. They may have been beyond the point of rational thought and only had on their minds to hide. Had they gone into shock or denial? I guess none of us know for sure in any given situation how we will react or IF we will react or just zone out. It is sad no one had a weapon with them, they thought they were safe in a church. But, how safe is anyone anymore? Schools? All those “gun free zones”? That is an invitation to a crazy person. I was raised to always watch my back, I have that 6th sense that raises the hair on the back of my neck when something seems wrong. Does everyone have that? Probably not. This shooter just happened to be white (this time), but he could have been another “color” just as easily. There is always going to be someone that has the access to a weapon that wants to use it for no good and no amount of gun laws or weapons confiscation will take care of that. Yes, people own guns, legally, should they be punished for a crazy person? NO! Should they be punished for someone having a stolen/illegal weapon that they use for no good? NO! We have all the race baiters coming out of the woodwork,, they need to shut the hell up.

Yep, we know it’s not about the guns really. It’s about the ‘fiends’ wanting total control period – and do everything in their power to get it. I clicked on the news this morning wanting to know about a local fire and saw much ‘dramatizing’ the church shooting – blowing it up like their economic balloon. What about the shooter at Fort Hood? Clinton – in his great wisdom and following orders of his supremes’ made it gun free there didn’t he? How sinister is THAT! It’s a sickness Lou … a deep down in the soul sickness that won’t listen to reason, rather they change the ‘reality’ and flip truth down and their lies up. I don’t carry but maybe ushers would be wise to protect the home front. And if we’re in a position where we need to protect ourselves and loved … or neighbors that we do it!

Zip, I think you made a type-o with “fiends”, but then again maybe not! Those friends could just as easily be fiends, couldn’t they?
Bottom line is that this Administration will play down one attack and escalate another, must have a purpose for doing that, wouldn’t you say? Reason, as you put it, has flown out the window, it is all an agenda now and it has been put on the fast track. Americans had better start opening their eyes!

Fiend: an evil spirit or demon.
• (the fiend) archaic the Devil.
• a wicked or cruel person: a fiend thirsty for blood and revenge.
• a person causing mischief or annoyance: you little fiend!
• informal a person who is excessively fond of or addicted to something:

I thought maybe you left the “r” out, but no, you didn’t!!!! You know they do want us to think they are our friends? I don’t buy that and am sure you do not either.

Funny how they ignore Chicago isn’t it Zip? But of course that doesn’t help forward the agenda.
Fiends works quite well I think Lou!

In fact the second amendment is very explicit when it comes to telling the government they have no right to disarm the people. You are right; the right to self defense is a natural right and that is something that many people don’t understand as well Laura.

Steve, I’m a little perturbed w/ you putting this sad sack in our face on a Sunday evening!! Ugh. I know you mean well, but … Man, what sock draw did they pull him out off – he must be one of their switch hitters, a change up from the line up and a relic from the haunted past! These guys are creepy and speak ‘w/ strange forked tongue’ while ‘white eyes stray’ like a stream.

Who gives a crap about what Traitor Rove says? He is an (establishment) enemy and should have been recognized as such long ago!

I think many of us do realize it now but he still has some pull within the party and so we must keep out eye on him.

We all keep talking of how the Rinks act against America’s best interests. Why should anyone be surprised at this Establishment-fanatic RINO? He sickens me every time I see him on Fox!

Rinos, not rinks . . . sorry

I am not surprised at all but Fox keeps giving him the airtime and he keeps pretending to be a constitutionalist who is on our side and so he must be watched closely.

The amendment doesn’t grant us the right, it just affirms it. So repealing it means nothing. Supremes affirmed the people’s right even if they said it can be regulated by Govt. Which is clearly a lie.

Karl Rove: Living proof that jabberwocky never goes out of style. This insincere self serving piece of human debris should be living in his car instead of in a gated community with his plethora (I love that word) of armed body guards. He knows damn well if arms were illegal he and his ilk would be granted a dispensation for being too big to be killed by the gangs that would still be armed to the teeth. After all supplying illegal drugs to the white suburbs is dangerous business. I despise that fat ass perennial bad
hair day bag of shit. If only he wore leisure suits he and Hillary would make great salt and pepper shakers.🍚🍚
