Senator Joe Biden wants to Intervene in Darfur Civil War
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader:
Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware said he would send 2,500 U.S. troops to Darfur to try to end the civil war there. “They think we can save them,” he said, “Guess what? We can.”
Senator Joe Biden says we should send troops into Darfur to fight in a civil war, yet we are told we need to leave Iraq because our soldiers are caught in a civil war. What is the difference between the civil wars? President Bush has not sent troops to Darfur and we have troops in Iraq. The Democrats whole policy is based on opposing Bush, that is the only difference between the supposed two civil wars. If America was in Dafur the Democrats would be calling for withdrawal. Ater all some people cannot handle being free. Isn’t that what the Democrats have been telling us?

They’re terribly transparent, aren’t they? I think the other difference is that many democrats still firmly believe that the the Iraq war is all about oil and making money. Sadly, people get these sorts of things in their head and just won’t let it go. In fact, I just had a run in with a coworker yesterday who was telling me that the only reason we’re still in Iraq is because Cheney is making millions off of Haliburton… I didn’t argue with him because after just a couple of minor inquiries I figured out he was fixated on that one thing.
I think that the dems are somehow able to convince themselves and their constituents that Darfur would be a “humanitarian” effort while Iraq is just a money making exploitation by Bush/Cheney.

To you and I they are transparent, but it appears to me that many Americans either don’t see their transparency or don’t care.

The difference is genocide, the slaughter of unarmed civilians and the goals of warfare. If Iraq is truly about WMD and deposing the government, then what are we doing there now? It is clear the populous is done with our intervention.
