San Francisco to Create ID Cards for Illegals

September 9, 2007

According to this article San Francisco Supervisor Tom Ammiano is ready to draft legislation that will create an ID card for illegal aliens who could otherwise not obtain an ID card because THEY ARE ILLEGAL.

San Francisco Supervisor Tom Ammiano is drafting legislation to create a city identification card for immigrants unable to get traditional ID cards, a move likely to anger advocates of tougher immigration enforcement.

While the anger of the voters during the immigration amnesty bill that Kennedy, McCain, and the president tried to pass on the American people is what brought the bill down, San Francisco decides to move even further left. Of course this is San Francisco we are talking about here, and there is no such thing as too far left.

“There is a large community who contribute, and there are not a lot of safeguards around their (immigration) status, their peace of mind and their ability to participate,” Ammiano said, adding that the card would be available to all people living in San Francisco regardless of their immigration status.

Doesn’t it make you feel good that people who broke into this country illegally will have peace of mind? Does that give you peace of mind? I mean, knowing that the people who come here illegally, steal American’s social security numbers, leach off welfare, rape women and children, murder Americans, drive without a licence or insurance and kill Americans on the streets because they don’t know the rules of the road, and take jobs Americans WOULD DO IF WE ABOLISHED WELFARE, will now be able to have an ID card so they will be ensured all the other benefits, if there are any, that they are not already entitled to?

This is where I have to put in the obligitory ” I know that not all illegal immigrants come to this country and do all those things I mentioned, that some of them come here for a better life” disclaimer. But I just want them to get in line and come here legally. Is that such an unreasonable request? Is it also unreasonable for me to ask the question, ” if they don’t respect the laws governing the manner in wich they come into the country, how can I expect them to respect any other laws of the country?” I don’t think it is an unreasonable request or question.

How does the city justify such an ID card?

Ammiano said the impetus for the city cards came from the immigrant community, which asked for his help. Illegal immigrants who are victims or witnesses of crime often do not report the incident because they have no identification and fear deportation. Identification also is needed for many services, such as city health care.

The illegals asked for help, and the city is all to quick to oblige. They use the excuse that they may witness a crime but are unwilling to report it because of their status as an excuse, but look at that last sentence. They need it for services, including healthcare. Yes, this means FREE helthcare. So while all the Democrat candidates are out there bullshitting you into believing they will provide you with socialized, government supplied healthcare San Francisco is willing to provide it for free to people who don’t belong here. Nothing is free, someone has to pay for it. AND IT IS YOU AND I. We work hard so illegals don’t have to.

This happened in New Haven or Hartford CT too. I don’t remember which of the top o’ my head. It’s crazy. “I’m illegal but I have an official ID card and get stuff FREE !”
