In the Illinois Senate, Obama Refused to Protect Babies Who Survived Late Term Abortion Attempts
This is a truly disgusting story, and Barack Obama is a despicable, human being with no soul. When you hear people say that Obama is even more of a moonbat than Hillary Clinton, and you aren’t sure why, read on.
When Obama was a state senator in Illinois three bills came to the floor that would protect babies that survived late term abortions. These babies that were birthed while the doctor was trying to kill them were left on the operating table alive and untreated until they died. Obama spoke in opposition to the bills. When it was time to vote, this cowardly bastard didn’t even dare to go on record as being opposed to saving these living babies, so he voted present, which is the same as a vote against the bills.
Here is testimony in front of congress by a nurse in favor of these bills:
“One night,” she said in testimony entered into the Congressional Record, “a nursing co-worker was taking an aborted Down’s Syndrome baby who was born alive to our Soiled Utility Room because his parents did not want to hold him, and she did not have the time to hold him. I couldn’t bear the thought of this suffering child lying alone in a Soiled Utility Room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived.”
Taking a living baby to a Soiled Utility Room where they could basically throw him away with the trash, is this how low America has fallen? Where is the sanctity of human life? How have we devalued life to this extent. This story should have tugged at Obama’s hearstrings, but apparently he doesn’t have a heart.
“Number one,” said Obama, explaining his reluctance to protect born infants, “whenever we define a pre-viable fetus as a person that is protected by the Equal Protection Clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a — a child, a 9-month old — child that was delivered to term. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it — it would essentially bar abortions, because the Equal Protection Clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an anti-abortion statute.”
What can I say about that statement? This man is so entrenched by the pro-death abortionists that he is afraid if he votes to save a dieing, born baby he will be voting to ban abortion. Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid even favored this bill, yet Obama is much farther to the left than even these two.
This is just sick and disturbing, and he has earned the title of most pro-abortion candidate of all time.

I wouldn’t use the term pro-abortion as that has positive connotations. Pro-death is better but I think anti-life or anti-children is better.

Senator Obama told the Republican sponsor of the bill in question that they could work together to craft a bill to protect a surviving fetus in a sitiution where through an induced aboution or extremely early labor occurs. The problem was that the sponsors of this bill weren’t interested in protectiing these infants, but making a political statement in an attempt to pass an unconstitional bill attempting to ban all abortions.
This is a consitient pattern of dishonesty on the part of the right-to-life groups. Check the link provided by Christian Breau.

I am confused. It seems that most replys here are from caring people….who love all children. If they would put 1% of their efforts to stop abortion from being legal, into efforts to rescue children – millions of them – from sex predators, I bet those kids would appreciate it a lot more than the fetuses…..please help keep kids safe – never leave your children vulnerable. Talk openly about rape and pedophilia.

As usual people hear and read what they want to hear and read. You people need to learn the facts. Yes, Mr. Obama did indeed vote Present (which means he abstained). Yes, he said these things about previable fetuses. While I think he should have exercised more care in his choice of words, the fact is the bill in question would have banned *all* abortions. Sounds good on the face of it. However the bill made no provisions for the life of the mother. If my wife is pregnant and goes into eclampsya, I will make the hard choice to terminate the pregnancy to save her life. While I do believe the unborn child is a person, and abhor abortion for mere convienence, I believe it is necessary if carrying the baby to term will end her life. And if she dies, the unborn baby will most likely die as well. Then we’ve lost two people. In this case abortion will save a life. Failing to abort will cause the death of at least one person and in all likelyhood two. Of course, if she has a living will stating she would rather die than abort, then you have to respect her wishes. Barring that I think we have a moral responsibility to err on the side of caution for an already viable person; the mother.

Your post reminds me of something that took place 40 years ago, before the abortion BS was passed. My sister-in-law went into labor and during the birth something went wrong. I remember the doctor coming out and asking my brother if it comes to a choice would he rather save the baby or his wife. He said his wife. It was a sad decision for him, but we all understood. As it turned out, they both made it just fine, but my point is, that was 40 years ago. What would make someone think it would be a problem now? I think this is the way liberals, pro choice, people want to make you think it is….abortion or no choices. That’s BS! I think of Pro Choice as picking black shoes or brown shoes. Maybe it should be what kind of birth control you use.

You are assuming that this man HAS feelings! His opinions on abortion have not changed from what I see in over 4 years since this article was written. Isn’t generalizing and calling everyone on this blog “Nasty divisive monsters” a bit over the top? It is a pity that you have so much hate in you. You should try basing your comments on fact and not emotion.
