Barack Obama Criticizes Jimmy Carter for Meeting With Hamas

I find this interesting. In an effort to prove he is strong on terror, Barack Obama criticized Jimmy Carter for meeting with Hamas. Here is what he said about Jimmy Carter’s meeting:

“That’s why I have a fundamental difference with President Carter and disagree with his decision to meet with Hamas,” Obama said. “We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction. We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel’s right to exist and abide by past agreements.”

Obama is exactly right about this. We must not negotiate without preconditions with a terrorist organization hell bent on destroying Israel. What I find interesting is the fact that Iran has the same goals as Hamas, yet Obama has no problems sitting down without conditions and talking to Ahmadinejad. Either Obama is naive or is dangerously unaware. Or he could just be sitting on both sides of the fence. He sees an opportunity to gain political points by criticizing Carter and appear tough on terror at the same time, yet he doesn’t see the similarities between Hamas and Iran. Let’s not forget Obama refused to vote to label Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, something even Hillary was smart enough to do.

No matter what the reasoning is for his “erratic” foreign policy positions, he is proving to us that he just doesn’t have the experience to be president.

But then again, according to Obama I am just a bitter small town American who is clinging to my gun and antipathy toward people who aren’t “like” me to explain my frustrations. Ahmadinejad is not like me, but he longs to cling to something much more powerful than a gun.

Luckily I’m convinced he can’t win, niether can the woman,,, this is what I think Barack meant by what he said, because you know he has a habit of returning in a day or two to “explain what he meant”

“That’s why I have a fundamental difference WHEN IN PUBLIC with President Carter and disagree with his decision to GET CAUGHT meetING with Hamas,” Obama said. “We must not negotiate BUT APPEASE with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction. We should only sit down with Hamas PUBLICLY if they renounce terrorismPUBLICLY (THEY CAN CROSS THEIR FINGERS THOOUGH), recognize Israel’s right to exist and abide by past agreements.” UNTIL WE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO WITH HTOSE PESKY JEWS..

Here’s the problem. And I am not saying this because of Obama’s statement as he doesn’t address it either. The American policies in the Middle East hasn’t worked. It hasn’t worked since, well, forever. I don’t know if talking will help. I honestly don’t know. But what I do know is that the fighting and war doesn’t work either as it hasn’t worked for since, well, forever. Options we have is to arms ourselves and be ready if they decide to come our way. And this is a real option. To continue to fight them over there and hope they don’t show up here. The other option? I don’t know, but I sure damn hope that we find new ways as the alternative tells me that we are heading one way – more war and fear. And that never works out. War never solves problems. It only creates new problems.

Since the Arab world and the nation of Israel have been at odds for 3,000 years, it is folly to think any current leader of the USA or anywhere else can come up with the answer to a 3,000 year old stalemate.

War doesn’t work. Talking won’t work. Sanctions won’t work.

But we can join so many who like the primary answer – Blame the current President of the USA for not fixing a 3,000 year old complicated problem located overseas!!

Bad President Bad. Now we must fix all the woes of the world, economy and more by inserting the new schmuck of choice!!!

Dang, that hasn’t really worked that way for a really, really long time.

LOL, Gary. OK now BHO is really losing it. He stunk up the air at the debate, AND this? Allright, now it’s Hillary’s turn to be ridiculous.

Obamas’ waffle on this issue with Jimmy Carter is a tribute and a reminder of the power of the Jewish and Israeli lobby in the US. At worst we can assume he’s just another hypocrite in a political system rife with them or at best smart enough to not take a poison bill by supporting Carter’s meetting with Hamas. It just shows that there is little honesty in our political system even from those that are alledged to be trying to change it.

This is the kind of flip-flopping that cost John Kerry the 2004 election.

    Keep it comin’, Barry!

If Obama wins, just pretend Jimmy Carter is back, and plan accordingly.
