David Obey teabagged– will not seek reelection
David Obey– Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee and 40+ year veteran of the House– has announced that he will not seek reelection. He was facing a tough reelection bid but is denying that this is the reason he is stepping down.
More and more incumbents are realizing that the Tea Party movement is for real and while they are trying to marginalize us– and while the media is trying to marginalize us– the truth is, they fear the repercussions that are coming in November and this is another example. David Obey is a powerful Democrat in the House and this has to be a blow to Democrats.
We may be laughed at in public, but privately we are being heard loud and clear and the effects of the movement are already being seen in the number of Democrats who have decided to step down instead of fighting for their seats.
David Obey, you have been teabagged. NEXT!

But, I am stoked that he has been beaten! he he!
I read that there are 100 seats up for grabs! It this keeps up we might not even need to vote! ha ha. JK!

Yeah, I’d use a different term, too. But, I’m with ya. I hesitate to read more into the announcement than may be due, but it is a good thing.
