Homeland Security may not process illegal immigrants from Arizona
John Morton, the assistant secretary of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement, has stated publicly that his department will not necessarily process illegal immigrants that are sent to his agency from Arizona because he does not agree with Arizona’s controversial immigration law.
I don’t think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution
He goes on to say that the answer to the illegal immigration problem lies within a comprehensive federal immigration approach, and not with a “patchwork of state laws.” I find this very interesting because the federal government already has an immigration policy in place– and it is virtually the same law that Arizona recently passed.
John Morton said that Arizona’s law and laws like it are not the answer, yet the federal law is a law like Arizona’s, we can only come to the conclusion that he does not agree with the federal law either. Considering that he is the assistant secretary of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement department, we can only assume that agency has no intention whatsoever of enforcing the immigration laws that they have been charged with enforcing.
He prefers a comprehensive federal approach which we all know means that he favors granting amnesty for illegal immigrants. When we have people in high places who are unwilling to enforce the laws of the country we have no laws. He wasn’t put in this position to ignore the laws of the country while he waited anxiously for congress to pass laws that he agrees with. If John Morton does not agree with these laws he should not have accepted the post that would put him in a position to enforce these laws.
It is one thing for people who do not have a role to play in enforcing immigration laws to speak out against these laws; but it an entirely different thing for people who were given the responsibility of enforcing those laws to speak out against them. It is becoming more that obvious that the Department of Homeland Security is nothing more than a shadow agency that is not serious about solving or enforcing the laws of this nation.

I don’t mind comprehensive immigration reform, but let me tell you a story.
One night in the winter in NJ, when I lived there, I heard water rushing in the middle of the night. So I got out of bed and went hunting around the house until I found a burst pipe (ice) in the basement.
Now, comprehensive flood abatement and moppage and bailage were all necessary, and had to be done, but even before those things were done, I HAD TO GET THE PIPE REPAIRED AND STOP THE WATER FROM FLOODING IN!
When our boys were trapped in Bastogne, it was the consensus that they needed food, ammo, rest and relaxation, but before any of those necessities could be attended to, they NEEDED TO GET THE DAMN GERMANS OFF THEIR BACKS!
Comprehensive immigration reform is something we desperately need – good law that will be enforced. But we all know it can take a long time, and in the meantime we’ve got this flood going on. We’ve got to stop it now – get control of our border before we start deciding who we’re going to let through.
Otherwise it’s all just a joke.
Take good care and may God bless us all!

Those are good analogies and I agree we need to secure the borders before we do anything, then we can work on something. I still think we don’t need to do anything lther than enforce the laws we already have, however.

It seems like everyone is talking about reforming our immigration laws and that is the wrong approach. Why not just secure the border and enforce the laws that are already on the books? As Georgia Yankee pointed out, until the border is secure, everything else is just a joke.

We can only conclude that they want as many people to cross the border as possible before they try to grant them amnesty.

Talk about spitting right into the face of Arizonians. Apparently, although Gov Brewer has reached out, no one in the White House has discussed the immigration law/situation with her at this point.
Since they have the media support, and still-too-large a segment of voters who don’t care, they will continue this kind of brazen lying and power-seeking until they are stopped.
It’s a wonder those of us who are awake can sleep at night . . .

The governor has asked for help but she has not received it, they had to do something and now that they have, the federal government is up in arms about it. If they had done their jobs in the first place it would never have come to this. The government will continue to ignore the problem while more Americans die at the hands of illegals, is it any wonder some of us lose sleep at night?

If the Govt won’t process illegals from Arizona
Airzona should just put the illegals on a plane and drop them off in Washinton D.C at the welfare office
or in front of the Whitehouse.

Fear Not, People are waking up, people like me who was a democrat until I saw what these illegals were doing to our country. First I saw red and then I turn red. There are many of us who are angry and not pleased with Obama or his failure to protect us from these criminals, lock down our borders and enforce the laws that we have in place.
Here is what these illegals are really about, be sure to watch the video half way down the page
