White House admits to contacting Andrew Romanoff about a job

  Apparently there were rumors last fall that someone in the White House   offered a job to Colorado Democrat Andrew Romanoff in return for dropping out of a primary race against Barack Obama’s preferred candidate– Michael Bennet. When these rumors first surfaced, the White house denied that they made a job offer to Andrew Romanoff.

  But then last week– in the wake of the revelation that the White House did in fact make overtures to Joe Sestak in an attempt to affect the Pennsylvania primary– the rumors of foul play in the Colorado primary resurfaced, followed shortly thereafter by an admission from Romanoff that he was in fact offered three possible jobs for relinquishing his senate bid.

  The White House is now admitting that Barack Obama’s deputy chief of staff — Jim Messina–contacted  Andrew Romanoff, but that no official offer was made. It does appears as if the White House offered Romanoff the opportunity at three possible jobs, but none of these jobs was guaranteed, however all of these jobs would have required Romanoff to drop out of the primary race against Michael Bennett. Does anybody really believe that if Romanoff had agreed to drop out of the race he wouldn’t have been given one of these jobs?

  The White House contacted Romanoff to feel out is he was open to a job that would have required him to drop out of the race; this is an attempt to affect the outcome of that race– pure and simple.

   The White House has now admitted– after repeated denials– that they have made contact with both Joe Sestak and Andrew Romanoff in possible attempts to avoid primary battles. As more and more details begin to come out the story continues to change.  I have said it repeatedly, but I am going to say it again; it is time to appoint a special investigator to decide if a crime has been committed.
