Debbie Halvorson campaign workers carry signs depicting Sarah Palin as Hitler

September 20, 2010

The Tea Party has been called many, many names over the last year or so as the left continues to try to delegitimize the movement and the people in it. At one point last year Nancy Pelosi claimed that healthcare reform protesters were carrying swastikas to Town Hall meetings.

This movement has become bigger than anyone thought it would become and it has taken the Democrats by surprise. With the Tea Party growing as large as it has we shouldn’t be surprised if some undesirable characters become Tea Party members. I would not doubt that there are some people in the movement who are unsavory and might actually carry swastikas to events, but they are few and far between (so far there has been no proof of this actually happening). Most of the millions of Tea Party members are good, hardworking Americans who are fed up with the direction the government is headed and have decided to try to do something about it.

This fact has not stopped the Democrats–along with the all too willing media–to seize upon any small number of examples possible to paint the Tea Party in a bad light. This has been unsuccessful because for the most part the Tea Party is about returning the seat of the government back to the people, where it belongs. Most Tea Party members are good, honest people.

So while Nancy Pelosi makes the unsubstantiated claim that she witnessed healthcare reform protesters carrying swastikas there has been little–if any–proof that Nancy Pelosi witnessed anything of the kind.

But while there has still not been any proof brought forward–even as Breitbart offers a large reward–that the Tea Party has engaged in the type of despicable behavior that we have been accused of, at the bottom of this post you will see a video that shows protesters holding signs that depict Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin as Hitler.

I wonder what Nancy Pelosi thinks of this protest; will she speak out against it? Or will she still pretend that the left is above this line of attack?

The video below takes on added meaning when you see that after the protest is over, the protesters head back into the campaign headquarters of Illinois Democrat Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson.

The Tea Party is attacked over and over for just this type of behavior, even without proof. But here we have people who are actually working for Debbie Halvorson’s re-election bid and they are calling Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck nazis–these people are actually working for an elected Democrat congresswoman. Where is the outrage from the left? Where is Nancy Pelosi condemning the actions of these people? But most importantly of all–where is Debbie Halvorson’s condemnation of the actions of people working to get her re-elected?

Once again the double standard is on display–both in the media and the Democrat party.

You can bet your last dollar, if these people were members of the Tea Party, this would be all over the news. It’s really getting old, seeing the Tea Party castigated for being all sorts of things they are not, and seeing things like this being completely ignored by the media.

The first time I saw this story, I thought of Pelosi. Hypocrisy rules the day.

Well, it WAS all over the news when some people turned up at a TEA Party earlier this past year with posters depicting Obama with a Hitler moustache.

What never got into the news, however, was that the culprits were Lyndon Larouche Democrats, not TEA Party activists. You can STILL see that exact picture on their web page:

Thanks for the link to the picture. It is amazing what the media is willing to ignore, and when they are not totally ignoring it, it is amazing what they are willing to “forget” to report.
