Gunrunner: Eric Holder is refusing to let “Justice” Department witnesses testify on Fast and Furious
November 10, 2011
It seems like ages ago that Barack Obama promised to run the most open, honest, and transparent administration in history doesn’t it? In the latest example of the Obama regime not being willing to be open, honest, or transparent with the American people it has come to light that Eric Holder has only provided the Oversight Committee with one out of the twelve witnesses that the committee has requested regarding the deadly and scandalous Fast and Furious debacle.
Here is what Chuck Grassley had to say about Eric Holder’s latest stonewalling tactics on Fast and Furious:
We have requested 12 Justice Department witnesses be made available for transcribed interviews,” Grassley said in a Thursday Senate Judiciary Committee executive business meeting. “Despite the department’s promises of good faith cooperation, only one witness has been provided so far — former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke. The department has refused to schedule interviews with any of the other 11 witnesses. That’s not the good faith cooperation I was promised, and it is unacceptable.
It is clear that Eric Holder and the “Justice” Department are hiding something for there can be no other reason for Eric Holder to prohibit witnesses from testifying in front of the Oversight Committee, and I find it quite ironic–and highly suspicious–that the highest law enforcement official in the nation is doing all that he can to obstruct justice in this case. This alone should be grounds for his dismissal.

He is just doing what we expected him to do, isn’t he? As long as he is allowed to get away with it, he will. Who exactly can MAKE them testify? It is quite clear that they do not take this Oversight Committee seriously. And, who has the authority to take him out of his office? Has Congress become neutered? So many questions and so few answers to some very IMPORTANT questions! AG Holder has obstructed justice from the get-go!

I don’t know if he can hold them back forever, I think he can just slow down the process by saying these witnesses are unavailable at the moment, and that is what he is doing. He wants to hold on as long as possible but I don’t see how he survives this.

Again, thanks for keeping us up to date!
I look at this as an encouraging sign. I do not believe the American people are so callous and so apathetic so as to ignore this contempt Holder is showing!
I believe and pray that those who love this nation and its’ rule of law, will rise up and demand his resignation AND prosecution.
This whole scene was (at the very least) designed to assist those who want to institute gun control in our nation; that too should be a huge red flag. The gun running also could have provoked an all out war with Mexico when they got sick of the Cartels trying to take over, … to me, that’s w/in these evin men’s (Obama, Holder, et. al) range of possibilities as well.
There’s no excuse! Holder must go!

I think people are finally starting to pay attention to this story now that Holder is on the stand and I hope you are right about the people rising up against this corrupt regime.

It strikes me that these are delaying tactics. Just stall enough until it goes away, or the public forgets.

That is all this is Matt, he is trying to delay these hearing as long as possible. But I do not think this is going to go away and in the last couple of weeks my posts on this issue have been more popular than ever so I think the people are just starting to pay attention to this. The public isn’t going to forget this for quite a while and I don’t think Holder can delay it long enough.

God, but how can these guys get away with it? The arrogance! But what could we expect when our ultra-liberal media is purposely ignoring it? Now, if those $%#@!)(&* were put under subpoena . . . !

They aren’t going to get away with it forever and it seems strange that the regime would delay this too long as we head into the election; this could come back to haunt them in the long run.

Steve, I think this administration is living in the moment. I am not too sure they have things all that planned out right now. I think that maybe it has not gone as smoothly as they thought it would and now they are winging it. Just my opinion.

I tend to agree, they are trying to cover this up and I don’t think they are thinking clearly and they aren’t thinking long term. They are so interested in protecting themselves that they may just be digging th hole deeper.
