The Iraq war is over: A special thank you to the troops
In the next few days the last United States combat troops will be crossing the border from Iraq and will enter Kuwait; while most likely we will have a presence in Iraq for years to come, for all intents and purposes the Iraq war is over.
Whether you were for or against the war in Iraq, and whether you are for or against pulling our combats troops out of Iraq at this time, this is not the time to debate those issues for this has been done for several years now, and will continue for years to come. Now is the time to say thank you to all of our heroes who served in Iraq over the last 8+ years.
These men and women served valiantly and bravely over the years, fighting for a cause they believed in. They suffered hardships which we cannot possibly understand unless we have walked in their shoes and they did it for our country. Over 4,000 of our bravest warriors paid the ultimate sacrifice, while thousands of families were separated and had to live with the reality that the next phone call could be the one they feared the most.
Thank you to all who served in Iraq, thank you to all who have given their lives, and thank you to all the family members who were left behind during the course of this war. You will never know how much your sacrifice is appreciated here, I love you all and will never forget you.

These men are the back bone of American unlike the “occupy” entitlement cowards who whine constantly and accomplish nothing but prove they are just a bunch of loud mouth bitches who take and give nothing in return. Just my opinion….WM

You are right. Unfortunatly the coming spring – summer offensive in Helmand Province will add more to the list of those who have sacrificed so much, Hopefully my cousin Micah, (a combat engineer – USMC) makes it back safely.
According to my contacts in DOD, 2012 is probably going to be one of the bloodiest years of the Afghan campaign. Say a prayer for all those brave men and women….WM
