Department of “Justice” official admits to three counts of perjury, yet has not been punished

December 22, 2011

According to this article a Department of “Justice” official has admitted to three counts of perjury but still has not been punished. Sadly this “Justice” official is not Eric Holder and it does not involve Operation Fast and Furious but it does show us that political ideology is considered more important than the law when it comes to the “Justice” Department.

When sensitive documents were illegally released in an attempt to bring President Bush down Stephanie Celandine Gyamfi was asked about her role in the scandal and she repeatedly denied knowing anything until recently when confronted with emails she had written she admitted to three counts of perjury.

Yet she remains in Eric Holder’s “Justice” Department and in fact has been assigned to investigating Texas’ redistricting plan. She has admitted to lying in order to promote a left wing agenda and with a Republican controlled legislature in Texas charged with redistricting the state she is once again involved in partizan politics as a head of the “Justice” Department even though her impartiality is in serious doubt.

This should not surprise us because as we have seen in the Operation Fast and Furious investigation, where those involved in the scandal were promoted instead of punished, Eric Holder’s “Justice” Department doesn’t give a damn about the rule of law because the end justifies the means and if a few laws need to be broken in order to advance the cause so be it.

Where does that leave us as a nation when the top law enforcement official in the country apparently not only condones breaking the law for political reasons, but also seems to encourage it? Alberto Gonzalez was forced to resign for accusations much more benign then what Eric Holder is involved in and yet Eric Holder continues on as if nothing has happened. There is no justice in the Obama/Holder “Justice” Department.

The law doesn’t mean anything to this administration, unless they can use it to punish those that they don’t like!

They do have a way of twisting things around, don’t they? The sad thing is that there is no one that will stand up to them and call their bluff. I just read that the House backed down and gave in to the 2 month extension. Oh well, I was looking for that to happen. Maybe next time the Republicans will plan this out better. Apparently they just are not up to playing the game yet.

Yes they do, and Boehner’s backing down is more proof of this. Obama was able to turn himself into the tax cutter and paint Boehner into a corner. I agree, the Republicans are not up to the task yet.

This is getting more upsetting by the day, We have to know Holder and his minions will stop at nothing to help getting Obama re-elected.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is an MD. He is a recent immigrant from Mongolia (yes legal immigrant, you really can’t swim a river to get here from Mongolia) and he told me that he thinks that the Communist Party of the USSR is alive and well. He believes they are in office in Washington.

Different set of rules for the game! That is what I think. They have a set agenda and they are sticking to it. The Conservatives are just not into playing dirty. Maybe next time we can elect some “real men” for the job,,,and they could also be women, in any case Congress persons that will play the way they do. Up to now, they have remained too “nice”. The older I get, the less nice I become….maybe they need middle aged women in there like me!

Yeo, they play be different rules and they can afford to because the media will not call them out. Republicans cannot play by these rules because the media won’t let them get away with it.

I am close to the point of just saying “what happens, happens”! We elect people to office to do what we want them to do. Seems like once they get there, most (not all) just do what they want in the way of voting. Don’t you wish that at your job, once you got hired, you could do what you wanted and not worry about what your employer wants you to do? How long would YOU have that job? Does this not apply to Congress? Well? Personally, I think they are just thumbing their noses at us.

There isn’t much difference between the Republicans and the Democrats in respect to doing as they please once elected.

Lou, I am about ready to give up also. I am beginning to say let whatever happens happen and let the chips fall where they may. I am getting so sick and tired of these games because nobody really cares about the people they are supposed to represent, it is getting so frustrating.

Sadly Phillip you are right, I don’t know how we are ever going to turn this around. Perhaps we need a collapse so that we can start over, I grow more sceptical everyday about our chances of staving off the collapse.

        Steve.
Showing up to vote doesn’t work, neither does not voting. Many friends of mine think a second Revolution is in order. But most people are too lazy to do anything other than watch Monday Night Football let alone participate in Revolution.
I think a complete collapse would be a cold hard slap in the head and probably would make people wake up.

Phillip, you hit on something there; one of the biggest problems we have in this country is the fact that enough people do not care what is happening. They are more interested in American Idol and sports than what is really important, and perhaps the only thing that would wake them up would be a collapse, until they are hit where it counts they will continue to live life with priorities which are out of whack.

Steve, I sometimes think that you are right that maybe we do need a collapse, but then I look at what is happening in the Middle East. The violence, the degradation of people, especially women, children, the disabled, and Christians, and I see what our future will be if this man is allowed another four years in power. He encouraged this there, and he is pushing Syria and Pakistan into more and more violence. He has opened our borders and is refusing to arrest and deport illegal aliens. He is well aware that Iran is working with the Zeta’s and that Hezbollah is using them to run drugs. He is inviting that kind of violence here. We see it already in Mexico. If we can not remove him from office, we are in big, big trouble. This is not an ordinary time that we are in. This is a turning point in the existence of this country and I am sad to say whether we can stop the violence from spreading!

I agree, and the one thing that worries me about a total collapse is we do not no who will arise from that collapse with power. This is why I was worried about the Occupy movement and Obama’s support of it; it had all the inklings of a communist movement and it seemed to be condoned by Obama. Communists rely on class warfare and dissent to rise to power and if there is a collapse there is no guarantee that a free nation would emerge from the ashes.

We have only to look at the USSR, or China under Mao, to see the possibilities. The death and destruction was horrific. We are being denied the ability to grow food, whether gardens or cattle, do you think people have any idea that these things are being restricted and regulated out of business? With the government having the ability to tell you what you can do and cannot do with rain water, and puddles in your yard, all they have to do is say that you can not use water to grow crops, like they did in CA, this year, and within a year we would have to import about 90% of our food. It would be worse than the depression. The land would start to be like it was in the dust bowl days, and it would take a generation or more to restore. We are already going to suffer electrical loss with the new regs on coal fired power plants. The next year is going to be very tough on those with limited incomes, and the states are already saying they will not be able to help as many people as they did last year. The damage already done is just starting to really hit people!

And all this is being done on purpose so that we will be dependent on government for our basic needs. People need to wake up soon!

“At a time when our lordly masters….will be satisfied with nothing less than the deprivation of American freedom, it seems highly necessary that something should be done to avert the stroke and maintain the liberty we have derived from our ancestors.”….George Washington in a letter to George Mason – 1769

The tome of Washington’s militancy had not at the time called for revolution again Britain, but that revolution followed not long after.

The question now remains: How long until we revolt against the corrupt political power system that is eroding our constitutional rights?

Wailing and hair pulling against Holder ignores the greater threat to our freedom – Barack Obama and the corrupt progressive elites and Wall Street bankers funding Obama’s incremental reign of terror on the American people. Just my opinion….WM

Why has nobody been prosecuted for lying us into the Iraq war? Bush killed thousands of U.S. soldiers and 100s of thousands of Iraqi women and children at a cost of trillions of dollars. Bush and Cheney would only testify behind closed doors, not under oath, and with no record of their testimony. That enough should convince anyone who loves this country that we had two criminals in the White House, yet no one has been prosecuted. Not only that, they’re receiving pensions at taxpayer expense!

Maybe it is because Democrats know there was no lie, but rather faulty intelligence, the same intelligence they were privy to when they gave Bush the authority to go into Iraq. If that isn’t the case than the Democrats are derelict in their duty to the American people. Wouldn’t they have held hearings if they thought they had a case?

So why don’t you tell me why the Democrats did not investigate Bush after they won control of the Congress? BTW, your original comment was off topic, but that is a typical tactic used by the left when there is no defense. Your couldn’t argue my point so you changed the subject.

Exactly right Steve. The faulty intelligence, sourced from not only the UN but the UK and other western allies was believed accurate.

With regards to Holder and Chairman Obama, the lies and entreaties of innocence are intentional and calculated to save their sorry asses. They knew about what was going on and ignored the possibilities of unintended consequences – Brian Terry paid the price for their arrogance…WM

Ben must be getting desperate, usually he starts out with pretty good arguments and then degenerates to name calling when that doesn’t work. He started with the name calling here. Tells us something about the state of liberals minds. Ben doesn’t really support Obama, or at least he didn’t, he used to support Hillary..
But on to the subject at hand and the lying and lawlessness of the Obama administration. I found this earlier and it just reinforces how this administration thinks of the laws and how they apply to them.

Nope. You see, the Democratic party is not my religion like the Republican party is to you right-wingers. You lie to defend your party. I’m critical of my party since they’re not doing what needs to be done, but Republicans have no ideas for making our country better. Their ideas to create jobs is to fire government workers and allow companies to pollute more. That’s not good for our country. And you complain about corruption in the Obama administration, but hold Republicans to the same standards and they’re far, far worse.
