If Barack Obama is reelected he may not bring back Timothy Geithner

January 25, 2012

This is all speculation at this point, but Timothy Geithner feels that if Barack Obama is reelected he will not be asked to return as Treasury Secretary.

He’s not going to ask me to stay on, I’m pretty confident,” Geithner said in the  interview. “I’m confident he’ll be president. But I’m also confident he’s going  to have the privilege of having another secretary of the Treasury

Now that would certainly be good news, but this is just one man’s thoughts; perhaps Barack Obama has already told TImothy Geithner he would not be returning but this could just be the ramblings of a man who knows he has underperformed at the position entrusted to him by the president and I will not believe it until Barack Obama makes this announcement.

Until that announcement comes there is only one way he can be sure that Timothy Geithner’s tenure as Treasury Secretary is over, and that would be to fire the man who hired Timothy Geithner in the first place.

Not to worry – he will find a suitable replacement to fill his economic unreality….WM

I agree with William on this one. He get rid of one buffoon and replace him with another. It will be a continuation of his terrible monetary policies. I have a better Idea…why don’t we make sure both to leave next November.

Yeah, he is just going to replace him with someone who thinks just like him anyway so the best thing to do is make sure it won’t be Obama picking Geithner’s replacement.

He’s already got another Geithner-like thug as his new chief of staff. No doubt the Wall Street merry-go-round will continue. Clearly Obama loves Wall Street despite his rhetoric.

His Wall Street actions just don’t match his rhetoric and maybe one of these days the OWS crowd will see that.

RJ, it will be the same agenda, but with a different face. I see nothing that tells me things will be getting better, do you? It is like they do some “time” in this administration and do damage and are shuffled off to another job. I have to give them credit, they are consistent!!!

Correct! Then only way to assure that this agenda isn’t followed is to make sure it won’t be Obama making these appointments next year.

Many positions will likely change like Defense, Treasury, maybe even State.

I’d like to see them all go, starting at the very top.

They are going, but being replaced by “like kind”, we have learned nothing if we continue to allow this type of person to hold office.

Yeah, I’d like Timmy to lose his job because his boss did.

We need to get big business and special interests out of the pockets of government period.
Allowing billionaires like Warren Buffet to influence public policy is insane.
