Two “Justice” Department officials have accepted bribes, yet Eric Holder refuses to hold them accountable

February 2, 2012

If this story is true, and judging from the “Justice” Department’s recent past–from Fast and Furious to CAIR to the Black Panthers voter intimidation case–I have no reason to believe it isn’t, the “Justice” Department under Eric Holder has hit a new low in corruption. According to the story, at least two officials in the “Justice” Department have received bribes in return for not prosecuting financial executives who were indicted on federal charges. Eric Holder knows about this, yet nobody has been held accountable:

A U.S. Justice  Department source has told The Daily Caller that at least two DOJ  prosecutors accepted cash bribes from allegedly corrupt finance executives who  were indicted under court seal within the past 13 months, but never arrested or  prosecuted.

The sitting governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands, his attorney general and an  unspecified number of Virgin Islands legislators also accepted bribes, the  source said, adding that U.S. Attorney General Eric  Holder is aware prosecutors and elected officials were bribed and otherwise  compromised, but has not held anyone accountable.

According to the source, Eric Holder knows about this but is unwilling to hold people accountable for their corruption because he is unwilling to admit that people committed these crimes while under his watch, so they are allowed to continue in their duties as if they have not committed a crime:

The bribed officials, an attorney with knowledge of the investigation told  TheDC, remain on the taxpayers’ payroll at the Justice Department without any  accountability. The DOJ source said Holder does not want to admit public  officials accepted bribes while under his leadership

Eric Holder once famously quipped that America was a nation of cowards, but I would ask him who the real coward is if he is unwilling to admit that there is corruption in his “Justice” Department because he is afraid it would negatively affect him. He is more interested in protecting his own ass than he is with seeking justice and I find it absurd that the top law enforcement agent in the United States would be so willing to ignore corruption within his own department just to save his own ass.

When history judges Barack Obama’s “Justice” Department is might just go down as one of the most corrupt departments–if not the most corrupt–in United States history. This will be Eric Holder’s enduring legacy and it is one that he justly deserves. If we cannot expect the “Justice” Department to uphold the laws of the land that ordinary Americans are expected to follow how can we expect to believe that anything the “Justice” Department does is on the level?

The utter corruption and ineptitude of Obama, and his entire regime, is beyond belief.

Once upon a time I thought the lineup for worst POTUS would be Carter, Bush and whatever came along… Obama has claimed the number 1 spot on that list.. And unless we have a rebirth of Hitler, Stalin and Lenin, I think Odumbass has a lock on that NUMBER 1 position.

If anyone else was able to watch the hearing today, what did you think? I thought the arrogance of the AG was astounding. He thinks he did nothing wrong. The left was out in full damage control for him, that is how it played out. He berated Rep. Labrador from Idaho with “MAYBE THIS IS THE WAY YOU DO THINGS IN IDAHO OR WHEREVER YOU’RE FROM”, but demanded respect for himself due to the office he holds. He was on the offensive. Did it take things any further in the direction of finding who is to blame? Probably not.

I didn’t get to watch the hearing today but from what I have read your account is accurate. I am trying to gather information of the hearing and hope to post something on it tomorrow.

I watched the hearing and yes, as Lou stated. Holder displayed his usual arrogance. But then why should anyone be surprised? This administration has proved it’s ability time and time again to prevaricate in favor of corruption despite Obama’s promise of transparency.

Like cockroaches who scatter in the light it seems that anyone connected with the Obama administration who is dabbling in corruption is able scurry into the darkness avoiding any consequences for their actions. But then this is change, or is it?

Or they are promoted/transfered to another position. I think that AG Holder felt it was a “bother” for him having been there 6 times. After all, he is the AG of the United States, he has more important things to do! That was his attitude. As I have said in the past, you can respect the office, but loathe the office holder, it still holds true here, as far as I am concerned. What a poor excuse for a human being this man is! If he were truely interested in getting to the bottom of this, he would be making every effort to cooperate, but he has not.

He isn’t cooperating because he is guilty and he is more interested in protecting himself, otherwise he would be looking to punish those responsible. In an attemp to protect himslef he has promoted everyone who might be able to drop a dime on him, and this is what he calls justice?

It is becoming evident that the only possible way to get justice on Fast and Furious it to hold Holder in contempt and try to force him to release these other documents, and I am not sure that will even work. I am beginning to think the Obama regime is going to get away with this.

Rep. Burton has the AG Holder’s number. He has dealt with him in the past and is not buying what he is trying to sell. I only wish more of the committee would take a page from his book and go after the AG more aggressively. It just seems they are holding back and for what reason, I don’t know.

I am hoping they are holding back because they know more than they are letting on and are giving Eric Holder enough rope to hang himself. Maybe I am wrong, but I hope not.

On my day off I watched the Oversight hearings. I must say I am disgusted. The dems are cowards and deagogues who are turning this into a political witchhunt.
And they have the entire lamestream media.touting the same narrative, even Fox which has become more and more left these days.
And the repulicans were no better.
They all dance around trying to be nice.
There is an abundance of eveidence, more than enough to im. peach this scum instead they pussyfoot around.
I hope Grassley has more.in his arsenal.
They are doing a huge diservice to the Terry family and to the families of all of the victims of this scandal.

RJ, so far the American people have let them do it. The problem I have is that we, as citizens expect the people we elect to offices to keep things honest. Guess that is not the case anymore. It seems like they tell us what we want to hear to get elected, then go about forming the government into what THEY want, at our expense. I guess my question is “what do we do to make things right”? It is not all of the elected officials, there are alot of good men and women, but the ones that are fast tracking us into a 3rd world nation are doing a hell of a job. I know you will get told to “vote them out”, but we are in far deeper than just that and have been for a long time. I think if we pay the salaries, we should have the say so, but the administration thinks differently and keeps passing bills that put more and more restrictions on us giving us less say so in anything. I am not sure why that works for them, but it does. Shameless, is such a mild word to use for this individual, I would love to call it like it is, but I think everyone here on this blog know what he is. I, too, hope that Rep. Issa has the goods on him, otherwise if he gets away with this, there will be no stopping him in whatever he wants to do. The sad thing is, he will get away with it.

Is that it? Are they allowed to continue? I never got to see this. I’m just reading what’s here. I think if they are not punished, it’s exactly like what is happening with Obama.
Everyone talks and then does nothing. I’m not from the USA but I would think the best thing to do is to make these people accountable.
With people cutting down the ‘occupies’ in the USA in their comments, I have to say
At least they are trying. They suffer the consequences for being heard but at least they are trying.
If the public ‘knows’ they are corrupt, then there has to be consequences. If you feel that you as an individual can’t make a difference, I’m sure there are other (groups or citizens) in larger numbers that will appeal to this type of thing. I’m really angry and they aren’t even my government.
Please tell me that this isn’t the end of it and they are allowed to carry on. What’s happening with Obama and his fake SSN# and his war crimes. Are they going to simply continue too?

Just changing the subject for a second… I read somewhere that a friend or relative opening stated (not sure if it was in the news or youtube… I’ll post the link when I find it)
that Obama’s goal was to break (financially) the USA so it will be owned by foreign countries… he could get away with it. I think he’s doing all the damage he can while he’s still able to and then he’ll simply leave the country. Sounds outrageous I know, but take a look at where things are… If anyone hears anything more, please let other know.
    Thanx

Yes they have been allowed to continue and they have not been punished. You are right, this is nothing new in the Obama regime and all you have to do is look at what is happening regarding Operation Fast and Furious.
The problem with the occupy people is that they are basically a mobilized force for Barack Obama in his class warfare–communist style bid to divide the people into classes to win reelection. There answers to the problems is more Obama and more government, and that will beget more of the same.

but steve, Obama is a ‘fake’… he shouldn’t be leading anything. Why is he still in the White House? I know there are loads of ‘impeach bills’ in play right now but you can’t impeach if he’s not an eligible president. I don’t get it. He’s ruining a complete country. There are states that are questioning his ballot eligibility right now also. If Georgia works, other states will follow and I’ve read that Alabama is also and three others. It’s a start isn’t it?

This is insane that the American people know about it and allow it to keep going. I know that Ron Paul (due to the corruption) will never make it to the White House, but he’s the only peace-lovin’ anti-war figure on the ballots. We are hoping for him even in Canada.

        “Canada Votes Ron Paul!”

Impeachment will never go anywhere because the Democrats control the Senate and will not take up impeachment, he will have to be voted out. The Georgia case is interesting and if he is ruled inelegible on the Georgia ballot there might be other states that follow, but time is running out for that option. He will have to be defeated at the ballot box and I am hoping that enough Americans are now paying attention to what he has done and are ready to send him packing.

If you know anything about Alinsky you will soon see what is going on. The American citizens have lost so much control of our country since Ovomit was elected that we may be a lost civilization. I try not to be a paranoid old lady, I tell myself it can’t happen. But, we have a Department of “Justice”, that won’t prosecute anyone that is black because Eric Holder is black, he said this himself, called them “my people” when it was pointed out that the Black Panthers openly used a show of force to keep peaceful citizens from voting. He hasn’t done anything about the bribery charges. He is nonrepentant about Fast and Furious. These guns have killed hundreds of Mexican citizens, but we would never have known about it if two of them hadn’t been found at the murder scene of Brian Terry. Fast and Furious was obviously an attempt to justify gun control, and thank God, it backfired! I read the other day that Holder has turned over 6,400 pages of information about Fast and Furious ….. out of 80,000. Of course he arrogant about what he has done. Liberalism really is “a mental illness”! He believes that the American citizens DESERVE to have evil done to to them. He thinks he is the knight riding in to right the wrongs that have been done to “his people”. I’ve read about this problem and the article I read called Holder incompetent. I don’t think so. He is fully in control and doing what he loves!
