Rod Blagojevich claims he thought $25,000 was funneled to Barack Obama in the pay to play scheme

August 8, 2012

Almost immediately after ascending to the office which he now holds, Barack Obama became entangled in his first scandal when it was learned that Rod Blogjevich was involved in a pay to play scheme by attempting to sell Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat. This scandal got pretty close to Barack Obama and he was actually interviewed by federal authorities before he was cleared.

According to a new book, Rod Blagojevich was caught on wire taps stating that he believed Barack Obama’s campaign received $25,000 in contributions from Tony Rezko in the scandal and this was something the federal agents looked into but didn’t find credible. The Obama campaign is also claiming this is false:

The White House referred questions about the matter to the Obama campaign. Ben
LaBolt, a campaign spokesman, said the claim “is preposterous and it is false.
No such payment was ever offered or made, and there never has been any
suggestion or question of it from anyone, except apparently by Rod Blagojevich.”

You must keep in mind that the source of this allegation is inherently
unreliable and not credible,” said the attorney, Joseph J. Duffy

Of course, Barack Obama has had a long history with the disgraced and imprisoned Tony Rezko including a sweetheart land deal:

Rezko and Obama were friends, and Rezko raised as much as $250,000 for Obama for the first three political offices he sought. Obama also engaged in a real estate deal with Rezko in which Rezko’s wife purchased the lot next to the home in the Kenwood neighborhood that the Obamas bought in 2005, then sold the lot to the Obamas for less than she paid.

Obama later acknowledged that the real estate dealings were a lapse in judgment

The land deal was simply a “lapse in judgement” not a crime, move along there’s nothing to see here. Phew, that’s a relief! But Barack Obama never proved that this was simply a “lapse in judgement” and not a crime, and when the federal agents interviewed Barack Obama about the Blagojevich scandal they didn’t even bother to ask him about the claim he received $25,000 from Tony Rezko in the deal so he has never been asked to prove his innocence in this matter.

As I wrote above, Barack Obama has a long history with Tony Rezko, who did contribute to Barack Obama’s campaigns in the past so it seems likely he would also contribute to Barack Obama’s presidential bid. So the question is; if he did contribute to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign where did the money come from?

If there is one thing that we have learned from Harry Reid over the last week or so it is the fact that a mere allegation is something that needs to be proven false by the accused; the burden of proof is on the accused merely for being accused and it doesn’t matter if there is any evidence to back up the claim. Therefore it is up to Barack Obama to prove this claim false, if he does not we can assume he is guilty. Right Harry?

Ha,ha if you think you are going to get a straight answer out of an Illinois politician, think again. Well, maybe Joe Walsh and a choice few others, but put a “D” in back of their names and forget it. Dick Durbin comes to mind, we all like Dick, don’t we? I think we should set aside one of the prisons Gov. Quinn is going to shut down for “future inmates”, don’t you? We sure have our share of corruption coming from this state. That should tell you that Obama is up to his eyeballs is, well “stuff”!

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and yet he decided to move to Chicago of all places to begin his political career? Who would leave Hawaii for Chicago (no offense!) if it wasn’t for some nefarious reason. I know if I lived in Hawaii it would be hard to tear me away from that place to go to any city in America.

    “lapse in judgement

Only because he got caught. Oof the first things Romney will have to do when he moves into the White House is fumigate it to get rid of the Chicago sewer stench.

If Blago had played his cards right he could have been somebody in the Oscama administration. How about the Corruption Czar? If so would he be in charge of the other corrupt czars or corruption in general?
