Afterburner with Bill Whittle: Unserious People

December 10, 2012

In Bill Whittle’s latest Afterburner video entitled “Unserious People” he goes on a bipartisan rant about how silly it is to expect the same unserious people in Washington DC who got us into this fiscal crisis to get us out of it.

“This is not a government, it’s a tumor.”

Bill Whittle points out that if our taxes were used only for the powers enumerated in the constitution that we all would be paying a lower tax rate, but it the government was totally shut down and our taxes only went to pay for entitlements our tax rates would have to remain the same.

  As usual, it is brilliant!

Bill Whittle is maybe the most talented motivator we conservatives have. Sadly, whether it is his Afterburner videos or his speaking engagements, he invaribly is talking to the choir. I wish Fox News would hire him and give him a half hour prime time slot so he could reach so many more people.

That is a good point Jim, if only there was a good way to get people in the middle to listen to him. We think he makes great points but we are already on board with what he is saying.

I am serious about having the folks that have 10 trillion dollars in the tax havens pay some taxes for once. People making minimum wage pay a larger percentage of their wages in taxes than people making millions a year.

93% of the recovery went to the top 1%

    http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2012/03/06/the-1-captures-most-growth-from-recovery/

How can “we” share in America’s prosperity when almost all the money goes to just a few mega wealthy families, that hold most of the power, and who the media works for.

Ever watch a msm show about the trillions they have offshore? How many of America’s most wealthy pay a lower tax rate than you or I do? Sometimes they pay a third as high of rate as you or I.

Remember folks. If the billionaires, and multi millionaires paid taxes in line with what they made, we could balance our nation’s budget and every person that ever read this blog could still get a tax cut.

    Now that’s serious!

The problem is corporate, and billionaire welfare, not welfare queens. Sorry Ronnie.

    Afterburner. Talk about this….

But isn’t taxing the rich a form of socialism? Since 1980, if the average working family had received compensation based on its relative contribution to America’s prosperity, it would be making an average of $45,000 a year instead of $35,000. Through 30 years of deregulation and financial maneuvering, the richest 1% have taken $10,000 a year from every American family. That’s socialism in reverse.

So watchers. You happy giving the 1%ers 10k a year from your wallets?

    Math.

Did you let your boy Obama know you take exception to his doling out our, that’s yours and mine, taxpayer dollars to his capitalist cronies?Did you let him know on election day that you resent his shoveling our tax dollars, yours and mine, to his phony green energy comrades before they all coincidentally went belly up. One need not dig very deep to find that these companies never had a snowball’s chance in hell of competing with the Chinese companies peddling their gov’t subsidized asbestos laden solar panels here. I’m going to take a wild guess here and say the answer is no you did not cast a protest vote against your messiah. Did you know that by voting for this fink Obama that you approve of his GM-Governmnt Motors- taking a $45,000 loss of taxpayers dollars, that’s yours and mine, on every green car they sell? I’m guessing, again, that you as so many countless others can’t shake the leftist propaganda pablum you were fed while a student at one of the marxist incubators we used to call college. Maybe it is best you and your ilk never become successful-Obama calls it rich-so that you won’t face the moral dilemma of keeping what you’ve worked for or giving it to a government that will distribute it to others, deserving or not.
Not to worry anonymous, the tide is turning and in the not too distant future you will be able to partake in the American Bolshevist experience that will allow you to starve while the elites vacation in Hawaii.

So peter. Tell me how the Walton heirs worked for as much wealth as 41.5% of Americans combined. Tell me how a family working low paying, or even middle class jobs take care of all the bills and “get ahead” when they pay more of their wages in taxes than people making a billion a year. When on trip to the emergency room by any sick kid would wipe them out, even if they are insured.

As far as green energy subsidies, see Sandy. Remember, by the end of the century the sea level will be where the storm surge was in Jersey. And saying “all” green energy companies getting subsidies went belly up? Silly. You want to look for loot, find the 50 BILLION missing from Iraq contractors that never did the work.

And by the way I am not happy with Obama. I understand how hard it must be to change the status quo when there is 50 billion dollars in concentrated wealth working to keep everything the way it is, with them getting all the loot, and you and I getting the bill. I can understand why you are upset, but you may be blaming the wrong people.

      http://www.corbettreport.com/pentagon-frets-over-wasted-billions-ignores-missing-trillions/

I don’t know this source, but the figure is easy to confirm.

Obama is no messiah. He is far too corporate friendly. In the ’60’s for every dollar a citizen paid in income tax corporations paid $1.50. Now it is .31 cents.

      Do the math…..

Peter, you and I should be working together to make the system more fair. To create opportunity (not handouts) for all. We are truly on the same side, unless of course you are a billionaire. If the folks hoarding the money in the tax havens paid the 39.6% tax on the money, we could balance the budget for years without attacking seniors, or robbing our children……
