Why didn’t Barack Obama mention Fort Hood during the Sandy Hook vigil?

December 17, 2012

Last night Barack Obama took to the airwaves during the Sandy Hook vigil and although he didn’t come right out and say it he made the argument for the new gun control regulations he had hoped to gain support for when he implemented Fast and Furious.

During this speech he mentioned that since he has been president there have been four massacres–Tucson, Aurora, Oak Creek, and Newtown–and he even brought up Columbine and Blacksburg to strengthen his case.

But the truth is there hasn’t been four massacres since he assumed the position he currently holds, there has been five, but for some reason he didn’t see fit to mention the Fort Hood massacre during his Sandy Hook speech.

Why is that? Most of us know why, but if you don’t know why Mark Levin has the answer for you and he even manages to tie in the hypocrisy of an assault weapons ban on Americans after Barack Obama was selling AK-47s to drug lords:

Note: There is an additional two minutes to this monologue which I wasn’t able to post here but can be heard at The Right Scoop.

I heard Rushbo, and he talked about over 80 school children blown up In the twenties by dynamite.

I guess it was three homemade bombs not dynamite but it shows that once a person reaches that point there is very little that can be done with new laws to stop it. TImothy McVeigh is another example, you don’t have to actually buy dynamite to blow something up.

“Barack Obama was selling AK-47s to drug lords” Really? Boy howdy we should arrest him now shouldn’t we? Just don’t mention the investigations all showed Holder, and Obama didn’t even know about F&F. Tell you what. You try prosecuting gun stores for selling lots of guns and see what the NRA does.

Go ahead. Make the NRA’s day! I don’t blame the Arizona cowards from doing their jobs. With all the nut jobs in Arizona life might get a little rough for any prosecutor doing their job.

The problem with F&F is the fact that the right wing has told so many lies about what really happened it is hard for anyone to sort out what really happened. The ATF did the investigations, and local officials refused to prosecute the 47 or so cases the ATF recommended prosecuting. Holder didn’t play a part in the decisions not to prosecute at any level. The fact that that is the fact never bothered a right winger. They make up their own reality. The real reality matters nothing to them.

Reality. I know, I know….. Who cares about facts when someone can shake their fist at our president, and make stuff up…. Fake outrage.

I have written well over 100 posts on Fast and Furious and I have posted videos of Holder talking about Gunrunner before the murders of Brian Terry and Jamie Zapata. Holder knew and when the investigation got close he ran to Obama and begged him to use Executive Priviledge to seal the documents, which he did. We’ll never know what really happened but it isn’t because of the lies of the right or fake outrage, it is because the president doesn’t want us to.
As far as the gun shops go, I have also posted about the shop owners who were conserned about selling these weapons to the straw buyers but when they contacted the authorities they were told to let them go. The Obama regime made them break the law for Fast and Furious.

You have came to the wrong place to try to convince us that President Obama and Eric Holder knew nothing about Fast and Furious. Steve has written extensively about F & F and the investigations that have followed.

Interesting that you try to blame the NRA for the terrible tragedy that has taken in Connecticut. Interesting, but not surprising.

“The Justice Department’s Inspector General issued its internal investigation report on Operation Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal, according to Politico. The report recommends disciplinary action for 14 government officials at the Department of Justice headquarters, the ATF headquarters and its field office in Arizona, and finally the US Attorney’s Office in Arizona.

The report also finds that Attorney General Eric Holder wasn’t aware of Operation Fast and Furious until the scandal erupted after the death of US Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.”

      Sorry Charlie.

      LD

Someone has to shine the light of truth sometime. For many it is all about attacking our president, and nothing about making our country safer, or stronger. Making stuff up when the facts don’t support their attacks. For them it is all about power and not justice.

“The Obama regime made them break the law for Fast and Furious.” There is a difference between “the local police” and “the local DA’s office” and the Obama Administration. Especially in Arizona.

As far as the NRA is concerned, they only have one mission. To help manufacturers dump as many guns as possible into America for profit. If you thinks this makes us safer…… well…. I am not going to say it….. Your realize that if you carry a firearm, you are 5 times as likely to shoot yourself, than someone else in self defense? I also think the “general welfare” part of the constitution should rank above the 2nd amendment considering how many thousands of innocent people get killed by guns every year in this violent country full of paranoid nutcases.

When are we going to start talking about all the innocent people that get shot every day in this country? The billions upon billions a year gun violence costs our society? Who should pay for the carnage? Real questions……

You are going to stick to that story, even after Holder had his boss invoke executive privilege? You can deny what has been going on during Obama’s first term all you want, but that doesn’t change the fact that he has abused his office and has done everything he could do to keep that abuse from becoming public knowledge.

I am well aware of the results of that investigation but please forgive my skepticism in believing a report an agency released about itself, especially in light of the fact that Barack Obama sealed the documents which most likely implicate Holder when the true investigation was getting close to him.

Amen Larry; there is a reason Holder pleaded with Obama to seal those records and it isn’t a coincidence that it happened when the investigation was getting close to the truth. To think that the internal investigation was meant to purposely clear Holder is simply naive.

It is clear to us and nobody else that the goal has nothing to do with protecting the innocent. It is all about control’ Connecticut has very strict gun control laws. Fort Hood had very strict gun controls. Did those controls stop the killings?

Of course we all know the answer to that question Jim. Once a person reaches the point where something like this seems like a logical way out no laws in the world will stop him.
