Homeland Security to purchase 30 round magazines for assault weapons

January 28, 2013

Yesterday I wrote a post about Janet Napolitano and her Department of Homeland Security’s request for 7,000 assault weapons because they are considered to be great for self defense in close quarters.  Yes, these are the same assault weapons that Barack Obama and Dianne Feinstein do not want the American people to own because they claim they are not used for self defense.

This post is more of an update to that last post because I missed the fact that the Department of Homeland Security is also seeking to purchase 30 round magazines for these 7,000 assault weapons

Dianne Feinstein’s legislation exempts government officials from the assault weapons ban as well as the ban of high capacity magazines because apparently their lives are more valuable than our lives and it appears as if the Department of Homeland Security is ready to take full advantage of this exemption.

Their duplicity and hypocrisy as well as their elitism is on full display here and again one has to wonder whom the Department of Homeland Security is preparing to defend themselves against.

If assault weapons are truly evil then I can’t think of a more dangerous entity to own these weapons than the same federal government which does not trust its own people to own these weapons while they are stockpiling them themselves.

Who is Homeland Security planning to go to war with, Steve? That is the question that should be worrying people.

That is the question I keep coming back to and to me the answer is clear. You know the old saying; just because you are paranoid it doesn’t mean they aren’t after you. To tbose who would say I am only afraid because there is a black man in the White House I would say I am well aware this started under Bush with the PATRIOT Act.

At this point in the game, I will be surprised at nothing this administration says or does.

The fact that they are exempt from the laws speaks volumes, doesn’t it? We know who they are preparing for and we know why they want OUR guns, makes things so much easier for them. It is true, this has been in the making for awhile, but it is on the fast track now. They can not justify what they are doing so they will not try to. We still have so many people that believe OUR government would never want to hurt us, those are dangerous people as well as the government itself.

It sure is Lou, there is something very wrong going on right now and people don’t seem to be paying attention. I hope they wake up before it is too late.

Good luck finding them, from what I’ve seen and heard, all the producers of 30 round mag’s are out or on back order……….

  7. January 29, 2013 1:52 pm

it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this turns out they’re trying to corner the market. pay top dollar, every mag manufacturer out there will be cranking up production but it will go entirely to the government. it will all sit in a warehouse somewhere until they scrap them out.

ANYTHING to keep us from having them.

which reminds me..I have a project I’m working on, and if anyone wants to be involved let me know..they have already made magazines with 3D printers. which use PET (soda bottle) plastic.

I don’t see why we cant make magazines more directly, by making “flats” out of soda bottles possibly with layering multiple “flats” with epoxy in between for strength.

once we figure out how to do it…good luck banning it. we’ll put the plans up for everyone to use.

I wouldn’t put anything passed them when it comes to pushing Obama’s agenda. There is nothing they won’t do.

I hear that there is a big shortage of ammo. No surprise now is there. Are we buying it up, the government or who. Just asking.

    • January 30, 2013 9:28 pm

      Good question!

    • February 2, 2013 3:27 am

I know some people that work for a big ammo manufacturer (no, they won’t get me any discounts either so don’t ask) and they say they are going flat out 3 shifts a day. and it’s all going to the government. .40S&W, .223/5.56 and .308/7.62. and almost none of it is military contracts.

oh and the .223/5.56 is almost all packed in stripper clips and bandoliers. police don’t need that…you only need stripper clips to fill magazines in a hurry.

Pretty scary isn’t it? The government is preparing for something and if hollow point bullets are not allowed to be used in warfare what is the government buying them for? It isn’t for putting holes in paper.

The ban outlawed magazines that held more than 10 rounds, 19 specific guns such as UZI and the Tec-9, accessories and attachments. Guns could only have one accessory or attachment. Rifles could only have one of the following attachments: an adjustable stock, pistol grip, bayonet mount, grenade launcher, or a flash suppressor. Handguns could not have threaded barrels, a barrel shroud that worked as a “hand hold,” and had to weigh at least 50 ounces unloaded. Shotguns could hold no more than five rounds, could not have an adjustable stock, or a pistol grip. Guns manufactured before the ban were grandfathered in. Of course, the assault weapons ban did nothing to change how the guns function or fired. It was purely a symbolic gesture of power.
