If Sandy Hook was about gun control the Boston Marathon bombing should be about immigration reform

April 21, 2013

In the aftermath of the Sandy Hook massacre Barack Obama and the Democrats decided to use the attack to push the gun control legislation which eventually failed in the Senate last week. This legislation would have done nothing to stop criminals from obtaining weapons but rather would have made it more difficult for law abiding citizens to obtain firearms to protect themselves from the criminals, but that did not stop the Democrats from pushing this legislation in the wake of this attack.

With Dzhokhar  Tsarnaev now in custody and the crisis over (we think) we are going to hear about the need for increased video surveillance on all street corners in major cities and possibly even an increased police presence in the streets, and this will probably be used to justify the domestic drone spying program which is already in the works. This will be the narrative from both the Democrats and the Republicans alike.

Again the focus will be on infringing on the rights of law abiding citizens, asking them to give up a little more liberty for a little more security and much like the Sandy Hook reaction this is misplaced because the focus should be on our immigration and deportation laws.

We now know that the two Boston Marathon bombers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar  Tsarnaev, where Chechen Muslims  (with possible ties to al Qaeda) who were brought to this country as children several years ago and at some point became radicalized. And then there is the mysterious story about the Saudi national student who was in America on a student visa: he was injured in the blast and he was a person of interest under guard in the hospital, his roommate confirmed their apartment was searched, and his family allegedly has ties to al Qaeda, yet after an unscheduled meeting between Barack Obama and a Saudi minister (supposedly on the Syrian conflict) it is being reported that he is being deported due to national security concerns.

At this point we still don’t know the whole story behind this student, but something doesn’t seem quite right here. Personally I think the Boston Marathon bombing is an even bigger story than we are being led to believe, and the fact that three other people are being held for questioning, possibly in relationship to the report that the FBI is tracking a terrorist sleeper cell in the United States, and I think my suspicion has been confirmed.

As the Senate prepares comprehensive immigration reform and a pathway to citizenship, while Bostonians and the citizens of the surrounding towns were ordered to stay in their houses and being subjected to (voluntary?) house to house searches,  one has to wonder if it is time to step back from this issue and take a second look at our immigration and deportation policy, with the possibility of tightening up our immigration policy and dropping this whole notion of providing a pathway to citizenship for those who have entered the country illegally.

It is true that these two killers entered and were living in the country legally–in fact Dzhokhar Tsarnaev actually gained citizenship in 2012–but it has been reported Tamerlan Tsarnaev was charged and found guilty of domestic abuse in 2009. He could have been deported at that time, and if it is true that he radicalized his younger brother than this is a great example of why our deportation laws should be followed without exception. It is also being reported that the FBI investigated him for ties to extremist groups two years ago and let him go for lack of evidence, we sadly may now have the evidence the FBI was looking for. It seems as if the warning signs were there and this is an attack which could have been avoided.

If Sandy Hook was about gun control the Boston Marathon bombing should be about immigration reform, after all these were people who apparently took advantage of our lax immigration and deportation laws and after the news that two more men connected to the bombing have been arrested on immigration violations we are left wondering how many people have entered this country illegally over the years and are living in the shadows preparing and planning on how to do America harm, and how many of them would gain amnesty if a pathway to citizenship is approved?

We are being told that this may be the new normal in America, but it does not have to be.

I suspect that Dzhokhar will be read his rights very soon and then will lawyer up. Just like the Benghazi attacks, the Obama administation doesn’t want the full truth behind the Boston attacks to see the full light of day. I firmly believe that if the scope of this attack is known, it would in fact hurt the effort toward immigration reform. Having lost the gun control debate, Obama doesn’t want his head handed to him again. I am having serious doubts about the FBI’s investigation and wonder just how much will be made public and how much will be held back on national security grounds and also on the grounds that it is an ongoing investigation. We are still waiting on Benghazi and I feel it will be a long, long time before we know the whole truth of the marathon bombings. After all with Obama and Holder running the show, the truth comes in last behind politics and self-interest!

Not only will this hurt immigration reform but it also shows us that he really hasn’t made us any safer. In fact he probably has made us less safe.

It’s beginning to look like the warning signs were either missed or ignored. Maybe the FBI should focus on seeing the red flags, instead of creating terror plots they can break up.

Finally, someone said it. Thank you, sir.

Common sense immigration control would have prevented the Boston Marathon Bombing.

There is no doubt in my mind that this should have been avoided and it is time to step back and rethink this whole immigration bill.

Good point Dennis. I’d also like to add that it’s about ‘quick mobilization of lock down’ of a large city. Connect that to the ‘punishment’ going on with air controllers furloughs, restricting mobility, it all sure seems to point to another underhanded operation. This fits w/ some of the ‘staged’ performances proven out at S. H.: http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2013/04/pictures-that-prove-double-amputee-was-an-actor-at-boston-bombings-2626684.html

The Boston bombing shows us just how well DHS and Obama’s Justice Dept have done their job… The FBI had this guy and let him slip through… Did the lessons of 9-11 fail to stick with these clowns?

I think there is a man behind the curtain behind the man behind the curtain on this one. And sadly, we cannot depend on the MSM or any cable news outlet to uncover the truth. Investigative journalism is dead. If that were not the case, Benghazi would have blown wide open by now.

Agreed! There is much more to this story and if the MSM did their job and covered Benghazi perhaps Obama wouldn’t have been reelected.
