Open thread for Sunday, June 23rd: Lay it on the line

June 23, 2013

Here is the open thread for Sunday, June 23rd; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day.

As always you can follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links to the right or you can subscribe to the blog via email and never miss a post again.

If you are tired of politics as usual please check out the New Federalist Party and if you like what you see we are currently accepting donations in our quest to register with the FEC.  Any little bit helps.

Now on to this week’s musical selection: I was digging around in the corners of my mind trying to come up with something to use here and I delved back into my childhood a little bit and came up with the band Triumph playing ‘Lay it on the Line’ live in 1987.

Enjoy:

Syria: it appears Putin whispered those three little to our Aab Spring advocate in chief,”Make My Day.” Or maybe it’ s entirely coincidental that he flip flopped on arming Al-Quada and their assortment of allies. I’m waiting for the Swiss army to be the next to stare down Mr. Community Organizer. He has surpassed Jimmy Carter and Lyndon Johson in the running for worst president ever.

And then there was Karzai publicly humiliating Obama on this as well. And the media claimed Romney made all sorts of gaffes when he said Britain might not be ready for the Olympics. I wonder what they have to say about this…..oh yeah, nothing.

So, how about that obama, huh? Now he wants to send troops to quell the anti-muslim brotherhood riots in Egypt. What a guy…

Good that it is bi-partisan, but as usual, nothing will probably come from it. We have to remember that this Administration does NOT take orders from us. They think they are in control and up to now, they have done as they please. Who will stop them? Your guess is as good as mine, because they throw it in our faces on a daily basis. The are bold, I have to give them that.

It is good to see someone stand up to him, we will see if anything come from it. I have been letdown so much in the recent passed that I will not be holding my breath.

This is a holy war between two Islamic sects being sold as civil war by the disgraced and spied upon MSM, including FOX. The OC military and the government contractors must be licking their chops as they chomp at the bit waiting for this latest opportunity to suck on that giant teat in the sky known as the US Treasury. Wanna’ bet that drones will be used to spy on our troops to watch for any of our soldiers using a weapon in self defense?

I wouldn’t be surprised at all to learn we were using drones to spy on our own troops.

Thought you all might like to see someone with fire in her belly, much unlike OUR Congress (a few exceptions)…I kinda think she is not enamored of this President, what do you think?

The parlimentarian is Clare Daley, who is a leftist. The respondent, the Parlimentary leader, implies her remarks are in deference to Russia’s interests in backing the Assad regime.

The swarms of Obama sycophant locusts know no borders, not unlike our illegals. Again quoting Michael Savage, “Liberalism is a mental disorder.” Unlike Obama, welcomed by the Irish with open arms this young lady could not speak her mind over here for fear of being stoned or droned to death.

I have a feeling that the “regular people of Ireland” have no love lost for Obama and his family…like us, they are footing the bill of them being there. It did not sound like the guy she was addressing was very pleased with her attitude towards Obama.

The House failed to pass the Farm Bill this past week. Maybe this is an opportunity to restore some sanity. This article posted on Red State offers a good idea for addressing what needs to be done. We need to have Congress stop passing omnibus legislation that is so complex that no one knows what is in the bill.

We need our rep. to take a step in the right direction.
