Barack Obama orders Federal employees to spy on each other

    Late last night news broke that back in October 2011 issued an Executive Order which created the  Insider Threat Program. This is a program which basically orders Federal employees–including some agencies which have nothing to do with national security–to spy on their co-workers and report them for certain behaviors. Failure on the part of a Federal employee to comply with this order could lead to termination.

  This program asks employees to report such suspicious behaviors as internet usage and foreign travel as well as employees who are working additional hours. It also asks employees to report fellow employees’ lifestyles and considers people who are going through divorces to be a risk.

    It is becoming all too clear that Barack Obama desires to rule through fear and intimidation and this type of work environment is eerily reminiscent of something  out of the book ‘1984’ where everyone was on pins and needles for fear of constant surveillance by Big Brother. And then there is the opportunity for corruption this policy creates in a workplace, such as an employee reporting another simply because they do not like that employee, have had a disagreement with an employee in the past, or view another employee as competition for a promotion in a competitive work environment.

  This is something that I would expect from Nazi Germany or Communist Russia, not from the United States of America. But the sad fact is that this is not surprising coming from the man who once told his supporters to get in the face of people who oppose him and argue with them, and this is not surprising from the man who once set up a website designed to let people report others who oppose Obamacare, and this is not surprising from the man who later created Attack Watch which allowed people to report people who opposed the president period. And who can forget the Truth Squads, and then most recently the AP and James Rosen spying scandals, the NSA spying scandal and the political targeting by the IRS?

  Speaking of behavioral profiling, there is a history of behavior with this president and all of it leads us to the conclusion that Big Brother is indeed watching…..
