Obamacare: New Jersey college students lose their healthcare
Obamacare is now just over one month old and to be honest while I expected the results to be devastating I am surprised it has happened this fast. I am not talking about the website glitches for while that is a bigger issue than the Democrats are making it out to be, an even bigger issue is all the people who have already lost healthcare coverage.
At last count it was over 2,000,000 people including 500,000 in California and 300,000 in Florida and the number climbs higher every day. And the trend continues in new Jersey where it was just announced that college students in the state will lose the affordable healthcare coverage because under the guidelines of Obamacare it is not good enough for them.
Many students have found themselves in health care limbo this semester. Community colleges in New Jersey used to offer cheap health insurance for hundreds of dollars a year but they had to drop the practice because Federal Law prohibits the sale of bare bones policies.
Under the Affordable Care Act it would have cost more to run the program and the cost would have been passed on to students.
Now these students have no insurance and will have to go out and purchase a higher priced plan, and this law was supposed to make healthcare more affordable? It is hard to feel sorry for these students however for they are merely getting what they voted for.

You’re heart is in the wrong place on this one Steve. If I had a farm I would be willing to bet it on the supposition that a vast majority of these affected students not only voted for Obama but also cast their ballot for the corrupt phony fraud now ex-mayor of Newark and now Senator from New Jersey Cory Booker. Yeah, that Cory Booker who is a rubber stamp for Obama and Obamacare. Obama won NJ by a 20+% margin while Booker, who made the convicted ex-mayor of Newark Sharpe James look like a naughty schoolboy, defeated the lifelong conservative republican Steve Lonegan in the vacated Senate seat runoff by 11%. Hopefully these liberally indoctrinated “kids” leave behind their lefty political ideoligy rite of passage and examine the issues and candidates next time they vote before shooting themselves in the foot like a majority of NJ voters continue to do.
My son entered college in New York as a conservative, finished his last two years of undergraduate as well as graduate studies in New Jersey amidst a sea of liberal crap from fellow students and professors but never surrendered his principles. If history teaches us anything it is that these “students” will continue their support for any candidate with a “D’ after their name. Since their will be no jobs for these graduates let’s hope mommy and daddy can afford to keep them on their OC policies till they’re 26.
