Thousands of doctors have been cut from Medicare because of Obamacare

November 16, 2013

During the 2012 presidential election Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and the rest of the Democratic party were running around the country telling the American people that the Republicans wanted to push granny off the cliff because Paul Ryan’s budget proposal included reforms on Medicare. They even went so far as to create an add which depicted a Paul Ryan lookalike pushing a wheelchair bound old lady off of a cliff.

While the left was engaged in this demagoguery, which worked by the way, the truth was that it was the Democrats who actually pushed granny off a cliff when they passed Obamacare without one single Republican vote for Obamacare cut Medicare by $700 billion. The Democrats actually did what they were claiming the Republicans wanted to do and they got away with it because the propaganda arm of the Obama regime, otherwise known as the mainstream media, failed to hold the Democrats accountable.

On November 9th America’s Watchtower reported that senior citizens were losing their Medicare coverage as a result of Obamacare and now the story is getting even worse for those senior citizens who were duped into voting for the Democrats based on this fear mongering campaign for thousands of doctors are also being cut from Medicare as a result of the president’s signature legislation.

UnitedHealth Group dropped thousands of doctors from its networks in recent weeks, leaving many elderly patients unsure whether they need to switch plans to continue seeing their doctors, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

The insurer said in October that underfunding of Medicare Advantage plans for the elderly could not be fully offset by the company’s other healthcare business

This “underfunding of Medicare” was written into the Obamacare law so now it is more than clear which party actually threw granny off the cliff. To all the senior citizens out there who bought into the great lie I ask you this; do you feel duped right about now?

They intended to get rid so all the advantage plans, but decided to put it off one year. Truthfully the plans are a rip off. It is much better to have a straight medigap plan straight from the government. No deductibles, co pays, no pre approvals. Medigap F plan provides the best coverage. All f plans are the exact same, but it priced differently based on which company handles the paper work. It is never advertised.

Interesting information, why isn’t the f plan advertised?

Because there is no money in it. The Insurance companies get a very small fee for handling the paperwork, but since they do not contract with Docs and Hospitals for services as they do with the advantage plans. CMS sets the fee structure for straight Medigap plans . Advantage plans may offer Gym Memberships sometimes but you really do pay for it!
Having said this, with the drastic raid on Medicare as you mentioned, how much will CMS fees to docs and Hospitals be cut for the straight medigap plans remains to be seen. It may just be the beginning of the end.

So the government does not promote the best plan because there isn’t enough money in it for them? It is clear they really do not have our best interests at heart, as if we didn’t know this already! I hope you are right and this is the beginning of the downfall of liberal policies.

I suspect, all of this was aimed toward a single payer system. But the unintended consequences of the ACA website failure threw a monkey wrench into the mix and forced their hand before the 2014 elections. Some are beginning to see this deception for what it is, while others continue to circle the wagons for the administration. Only time will see how this story plays out and Obama’s crowning achivement could in the end become his Waterloo. Just the thoughts of an old man.

There is no doubt in my mind the goal was and is single payer. I think Obama might have been forced to delay the website launch but wasn’t able to because of Cruz and Lee. If he had delayed the website at that time he would have been seen as giving into the Republicans so he decided to go ahead with it anyway and deal with the problems. It is quite possible is arrogance has shown the American people what his goal was just.

UnitedHealth Group and the other insurance companies made a bargin with the devil. People need to wake up to the greed of these companies and drop their health insurance policies. There are other alternatives and these alternatives need to be discussed more.

I call it the Goldilock’s Plan. You can’t be too old or too young. You have to be just right if you want to live.

My money is on the democrats to come out smelling like a rose. In a sane world this failure if a president would have retired in disgrace to his San Clemente. The MSM will never turn on Obama and his lies any more than would his voter base. Just as Jesse Jackson’s picture graces the wall of just about every black home so does Obama’s goodness reside in the mind of almost every senior citizen. It will take more than lies, deception and the wholesale sellout of the nations health care system to wake up the american voter now straining at the leash to vote Bill and Hill back into the White House just as this duo is straining at the leash to regain what is rightfully theirs, absolute power. Bubba pretty much sealed the election for the dragon lady with his performance this past week. Never underestimate the ignorance, the stupidity, the naïveté if the american voter. In the final analysis the country ‘s fate lies in their hands.

Man I hope you are wrong but the Republicans have a way of pulling defeat out of the jaws of victory. There is no doubt Bill’s performance this week was designed to distance his wife from Obamacare, we will see it it works.

My thoughts are that Hilliary left the white house when she did to 1. subvert suspicions of her being culpable in any way for Benghazi, and 2. to completely distance herself from the aftermath of what she knew was going to be what now is the prophetic train wreck of obamacare. I do not believe however that it’s going to be enough. I feel that obamacare is going to continue to trash our economy, and in the interim show itself fully for what it is, a complete democratic failure, and that’s gonna tug on her 2016 skirt hard enough to remind people.. Hilliary is a democrat too… I say she runs, but loses.. Obamacare is the demise of the dems. We’ll see just how much this is true come 2014.

There is no doubt in my mind Hillary left when she did to distance herself from Benghazi and Obamacare, but she is just as culpable in these scandals as the rest of them and I hope the American people can see through this.

Dennis, I hope so too but looking back on the last presidential election which reflected the voter sentiment towards this man whose policies were and still are grinding down the economy to a standstill among other things remained strong. His dismal first term performance did not lose him or his democrats in congress votes and neither will this. One man’s opinion…

I think the primary process is fatally flawed for the Republican Party. All it does is confirm the most bland central casting candidate and waste valuable resources. This system is a quaint relic of the past and only serves to feed the MSM thirst for news fodder. There must be a better process for determing who would be a good candidate. Rather then non focused state primaries select voter precients might provide better information.

I hear you there Peter, Obama should have lost in 2012 and the fact that he was reelected despite all his shortcomings does not leave me optimistic about the future.
