Obamacare: The insurance companies will be allowed to estimate how much the Federal government owes them in payments because the payment mechanism hasn’t been set up
Fox News ran an Obamacare story last night and in the banner during this story was this: “New Obamacare Bombshell. No System yet for Exchange Payment.” This of course is not really breaking news for America’s Watchtower has been writing about this issue for a few weeks now, but let that go.
There was a new bombshell revelation in this report however and that is that the Obama regime intends to cope with this glitch by letting the insurance companies GUESS how much the Obama regime owes them in subsidies. The Obama regime will pay the insurance companies whatever amount they ask for and then will figure out sometime in the future what the insurance companies should have been paid and then make the payments correct.
I have just one question: Aren’t these the same insurance companies which were supposedly screwing over the people, and couldn’t be trusted, which is why the government is in the process of taking over the insurance marketplace in the first place?
Now the Obama regime is trusting these companies to tell the Federal government how much money it should be paying them. This is the Obama regime’s healthcare exchange payment plan? This is absolutely unacceptable! The Obamacare payment plan is based on a wing and a prayer, is this any way to run 1/6th of the American economy? And the Obama regime thinks the website is fixed? (Okay, I guess I have more than one question.)
The Obama regime had three years to get this website up and running and any rational person could expect that securing the website and setting up the payment mechanism would have both been top priorities but to date neither issue has been addressed.

As with the actual website for Obamacare, … it’s an invitation to fraud and rip off; this time though, it’s our tax money. Who do they think we are? Legislators?

When the partners in crime, gov’t and Ins. Co’s, cook the books we can be sure of two things: they will be following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Proceedures ) and people will be going to jail, just as surely as there is a Santa Claus. Ho ho ho Uhm Uhm Uhm.

Now it becomes clear OC was about crony capitalism. Give money to who ever you want .. insurance companies, software consultants with no accountability. The amount of money being stolen is astronomical. You can’t print and spend money without imploding the system. Our political system is out of control.

I agree with Peter. Obama and the insurance companies are partners in this crime. Canciling all current insurance policies (Individual and group) was always the plan. Then force young adults and the middle class to pay higher premiums for additional coverage they can’t use through the exchanges so the insurance companies make more money and the poor get subsidzed by all the paying smucks.

What happen to the ‘free and open market place?’ Years ago ‘monopolies’ were frowned upon, but now that’s all there is! The only way to be exempt from it is to join the enemy – i.e. Reid’s staff are exempt as are all those who have forced it down the pipe. Brings to mind ‘Joe the plumber’ and how his service is needed to remove the clogger-uppers!
