Obamacare: 18,000 “successful” enrollees in West Virginia need to reapply for healthcare coverage

January 3, 2014

America’s Watchtower has already reported that 30,000 Illinois residents who had thought they successfully enrolled in Obamacare would have to reapply for coverage and 16,000 Iowans who thought they had successfully signed up for Obamacare would also have to reapply for coverage.

This seems to be a trend for now we have learned that 18,000 people who thought they had successfully enrolled in Obamacare in West Virginia are also being told they must reapply if they want to be in conformance with the law.

The 18,000 affected citizens will receive letters, emails, and automated phone messages telling them they must sign up for Obamacare all over again. West Virginians for Affordable Health Care Executive Director Peter Bryant worries the website failures may place individuals at risk of having gaps in their coverage.

“These people played by the rules and did everything right, and it was a computer glitch, a malfunction that created a gap in coverage. That should not occur,” said Bryant.

At this point I think that it is safe to assume that these are not three isolated events but rather are symptomatic of a much larger problem.  We can expect this to happen in most of the states in the union before all is said and done in my opinion.

When you read this news is it any wonder that hospitals and doctor’s offices are telling people they must pay out of pocket for procedures they had previously scheduled because they cannot confirm whether or not a person is actually covered?

I wonder just how long the Obama administration can keep secret the real numbers signing up for the ACA. And then there is the question as to who is really signing up—young people, old people!! They seem to be afraid to release the numbers—wonder if the present has classified this information “Top Secret” and put on a need to know basis only!
