Darrell Issa is heading to New Hampshire next month
This is about the time when New Hampshire voters start to pay attention to which national politicians head to our state and speculation begins to grow about whether or not this means they will be seeking the presidency.
Most of the talk in the Granite State in recent weeks has swirled around the carpetbagging Scott Brown and the fact he has sold his house in Massachusetts and declared his New Hampshire vacation house as his new primary residence. This has led to speculation he is considering a run against Jeanne Shaheen in the Senate or possibly even a run at the governor’s office.
But now Darrell Issa has scheduled a trip to New Hampshire next month and there are rumblings this might mean he is looking at the possibility of a run for president, especially considering the event he is appearing at just happens to be considered a must-attend by Republicans who hope to win the New Hampshire primary.
Rep. Darrell Issa is headed to New Hampshire next month to speak at a venue that has been a must-do appearance for presidential aspirants.
The Vista Republican and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will address a joint session of the Concord Republican City and Merrimack County committees annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Monday, Feb. 17.
What does this mean, if anything? We will have to wait and see for Darrell Issa was not available for comment at the time of this announcement.

You’re welcome.
The whole thing sends mixed/bad signals, as only this morning, John Galt posted on his site youviewed.com, an article of 101 Reasons to Move To N.H., but, slimeball politicians are always afoot slithering.
Maybe we can deport them someplace?

I will have to check that article out! For the most part New Hampshire is a great place to live, the best part is that the State House and Senate are only part time employees who only earn a few hundred dollars a year. It is the rest of them we have to watch out for!

While in NH maybe Issa can start another investigation that goes nowhere.

Sad isn’t it, it makes you wonder if he is putting on a show or if the GOP leadership is slowing him down.

Petermc3 gets an award for a great snarky comment. Greta keeps asking him about why not more like doing a subpoena or two and he just spins. Long on talk. Short on results.

Either Issa is putting on a show and is part of the problem or the GOP leadership is obstructing him, I haven’t made up my mind on that yet.

That’s a thought. Maybe Boehner has to be on board.

At this point I think Issa is really trying and is being obstructed by Boehner, but part of me wonders if he is just putting on the appearance of doing something.

I had high hopes for Scott Brown when he started his campaign and won, but then reality kicked in and we found out he was just a Democrat-light. As for his selling his main house to live in his “vacation home”, tells me he might be a bit out of touch with the rest of us that work for a living. I certainly do not fault him for having that vacation home, sure wish I had one. However, as I said, he is out of touch with what we are dealing with on a day to day basis. I hope the people in your state can see that when the vote.
Now, as far as Issa goes, I think he has tried, but I also think he has a point that he has been told he can not go past, is it Boehner??? Who knows! It sure makes for a good watch on the tube when he is on C-Span, but as you said, it usually goes nowhere. Is someone getting paid to NOT go past that point of finding out what really happened? I doubt we will ever know the answer to that question. It seems that if it involves anyone in this Administration the only people that get taken down are the little people in the lower jobs that were to blame and I bet they are paid off nicely to take the fall. End of story, move on!

I cannot vote for Brown because it really irks me when people move from state to state just to get elected. The national parties are picking their candidates and moving them around the nation. We saw this in Massachusetts with Deval Patrick and Lizzy Warren, and it really bothers me. Call me old-fashioned but I think a person should be from the state they want to represent.
There is no doubt in my mind Boehner is behind slowing down Issa although I haven’t decided whether Issa is in on it yet or not.
