Massachusetts Democrat convicted of beating up a woman for not having sex with him is still conducting State business from behind bars

January 31, 2014

I don’t know it this story has received much national exposure but in case it hasn’t here is the story: Massachusetts Democratic State Representative Carlos Henriquez was convicted of beating up his girlfriend after she refused to have sex with him, yet he refuses to resign and is actually conducing State business from behind bars.

A Massachusetts Democratic state lawmaker who is serving time in prison for beating a woman when she refused to have sex with him continues to serve in the state legislature.

State Representative Carlos Henriquez of Dorchester was sentenced to six months in prison on January 15 after a jury convicted him of beating a woman he had been dating after she would not have sex with him.

According to a Boston Herald report, Henriquez is continuing to conduct business from behind bars, speaking with his staff at least “once a day.”

“We’ve been in regular contact with him, and at this point he’s concerned with the issues of the district,” Henriquez aide Jessica DaSilva told the Herald, saying that he also has been reviewing budget amendments.

Tell me again how the Democrats care about the rights of women, and tell me again how the Republicans are waging a war on women.

OMG!! My beloved and departed Old Man had a saying, “Sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying” There are so many things that this story begs to be discussed, the least of which is wanting to puke over the quality of this dirt bag’s character. I’m just gonna laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh….. God save us from lawyers and politicians

Sometimes we do have to laugh or it will drive us crazy, which is part of the reason why I didn’t spend much time on this post.

The fact that this “man” was allowed to serve is degrading to not only women but men as well. There are far more competent people that could permanently fill his position.

But sadly this is Massachusetts and all that matters to the voters is that you have a ‘D’ after your name.

And I just shake my head and sigh.

People should be more aware and critical of their government. Backing someone because of his/her titles and associations hasn’t really done anyone much good.

It’s sad a little unsettling that the beliefs and loyalties of an entire people can be so easily and comprehensively summarized as “they’re from Massachusetts.” This isn’t a poor reflection of their politics, but the simple mindedness of politics as a whole.

I could not agree more and I have to admit that I once blindly followed the Republicans but no more, as I think can be seen by my recent posts. I just wish more people would judge politicians by their actions and not by what their party affiliation is.

This macho man may have conducted his personal war on woman but at least he retains his work ethic and continues to do the people’s work. Is he still getting paid? One has to wonder, did Carlos give up the booty willingly or did Bubba have to kick his ass first to get a sniff?

One might wonder if he were a Republican if this would be allowed. I doubt it.

Meh . . . I’m sure there are other Dems who are misogynists – that doesn’t make the party misogynistic. I’m sure you guys can see the difference. The Dem Party platform and its principles, however, aren’t founded on misogynistic principles like the GOP is.

Take good care and may God bless us all.

I fail to see how having a pro-life position in a party platform signifies a hatred of women by that party.

Hey TGY, if you would allow me to point out that the words you placed on this post and your inner core morals might be a bit incompatible, at least I hope they are. It sounds like you are saying two things: first that the actions of one do not define the nature of an entire group. I agree, a thousand percent I agree. Each man or woman should be judged by the nature of their actions and words. Words really do mean things. Second, you seem to be using your first point to shift into parroting one of the ‘Ministry of Propaganda’s’ main efforts at deluding the lemmings and sheeple that are an ever growing segment of this nation. ‘Republicans and the war on women… ad nauseum.

If you believe that freedom is the highest ideal that we should hold as a people, then I would like to put forward something for you to consider. If not, then you are among the lemmings and I hope you will awaken soon and start taking back your freedom.

The ‘Two party meme’, the image of opposing forces keeping the body politic balanced no longer exists. That is a charade maintained by those whose deepest desires is to bring down this Constitutional Republic and mold it into some socialist bastardization that will fit into and play nice with the rest of the under-nations of a one world government. Your second point, by implication is that the Repubs have a platform of hate. The Republican platform still espouses the right side of the freedom argument even though some of their actions and more importantly their votes say otherwise. The party platform is all about respect and rule of law and upholding the rights of others, all others, including women, gays, and the basic rights humans that are in this country illegally while they are sent home; upholding their rights granted under the constitution, not the load of human rights shouted about by those with their roots deep in Marx.

No society, from the smallest tribe to the greatest nation can guarantee a job, a meal, a shelter, an education, etc for any one. I could so easily rabbit trail into a hundred different topics here and stray from the point. So here is my point, a point that sadly won’t fit in a tweet or on a bumper sticker (so many in our lemming culture can’t wrap their heads around it): If you believe that one party is good and one is not, then you are already part of the matrix. The great destructive problem that has manifested in the turmoil of politics is that America is sick in her soul and approaching terminus. The culture, the people, have lost the understanding of what it means to live free. We are content with the modern day version of bread and circus, and we comply with only a little grumbling at the whims and dictates of our would-be masters.

All the while fighting over pet issues like gun rights, environmentalism, gay rights and a hundred others keep us occupied and frustrated and overwhelmed, while the rats are stealing the larder bare. The Dems started their decline into the evil of destroying freedom long before the Repubs began to join them. But the lure of power and wealth, and power is a powerful seductress. There are few leaders left with the stones, the moral courage, and honor to face the machine in place. One who bucks the system will be systematically destroyed.

Steve’s point in posting this article (I make an assumption here) was that our culture has crumbled so far into the cesspool that a people and a body politic will allow this butt -wipe of a human being who should have been charged with attempted rape to still hold an elected office from a prison cell. The irony is that while the Dems scream all about the rights of others look at what they do. And the Dems are the party that let the Marxists into the hen house 🙂

Your first point is spot on, TGY. Don’t buy into the ‘Ministry’ crap’

      Best to You
