North Carolina voter ID protesters forced by the NAACP to show ID
Some North Carolinian voters are protesting in the “Moral March” against that state’s new racist voter ID law and this event is hosted by the NAACP. However it is interesting to note that the NAACP is requiring marchers to provide ID in order to participate in this event:
North Carolinians marching to protest voter-ID laws must present a valid photo ID to participate in an NAACP-hosted protest against voter-ID laws in Raleigh on Saturday.
The central claim among the protesters is that the voter-ID laws disenfranchise certain segments of the voting population, particularly minority voters and poor voters.
According to official NAACP flyers passed out at the rally, protesters must carry the precise kind of ID that they would be expected to present at the voting booth.
Well, that is certainly hypocritical now isn’t it? These protesters, in order to protest the voter ID law, are required to show the same type of ID they claim is racist in the first place. Where is the outrage here?!
North Carolina Republican State Representative David Lewis sees the hypocrisy in this and he summed it up thusly:
“I find it extremely hypocritical that when nearly 70 percent of North Carolinians across all political spectrums support the idea that one present photo identification when going to the polls, the NC NAACP has filed suit in court to block this common-sense idea,” said Lewis in a statement to The Daily Caller. “However, the NC NAACP requires their protesters to maintain valid photo identification on their person throughout the march. The idea that Chairman William Barber and his followers find it more important to carry their photo identification with them when marching than when electing the President of the United States is reprehensible.”
What more needs to be said?

Well, I mean I can understand that the NAACP wouldn’t want any fraudulent protestors in their midst. That’s important! Pfffft!

15 kids and it looks like she is young enough to have a few more before she is done! I never had to show an ID until the last election when NH finally passed a voter ID law.In NH you can still walk into the polling place and register to vote on election day.

Well, we know the only suppression they’re talking about is the illegal alien vote.

Yep, and we can’t have that!

Ah, the hypocrisy of the left comes out in the open. I would think this pretty much destroys their argument that voter ID cards are an unnecessary burden to certain segments of the voting population.

Larry, I think we might be overestimating the IQ of the lofo voter. We were sitting here with FOX on this morning and the subject of postponing and moving the date for ACA to take effect out to 2016 on some policies, You would think that might send up a red flag to some people. But, then I forgot that the ones they are talking to will take the move at face value only and as long as they still get their benefits, where is the problem. The Aetna CEO says they may have to back out of the exchanges and hates to think about doing that. The lofo’s will not stop to think that it will take us out past the next election before it hits, makes you wonder why anyone would NOT see that, but guess we are just a cut above on paying attention.

But of course you know it will not, they will have some type of defense to “prove” that these are two different issues which cannot be compared.
