The United Nations to exempt China from stricter CO2 regulations?
Yesterday Barack Obama appeared at the United Nations climate summit and he said that global warming was such a threat to the world and to our way of life that he was willing to take Executive action in order to help combat the problem.
This Executive action includes the Federal government taking into consideration the effects on the climate while deciding whether or not to assist other countries with development projects.
Here is more:
“We can only succeed in combating climate change if we are joined by every nation, developed and developing alike. Nobody gets a pass,”
The United Nations, like most of the American people, have either stopped listening to what the President has to say or they have decided not to follow his lead if this story is correct because apparently the United Nations is prepared to offer China an exemption to new CO2 regulations. It looks like China will be getting a pass.
And China just happens to be the biggest polluter nation in the world:
They point out that China is not only the world’s largest emitter of CO2 with a 29% share but also now exceeds the emissions on a per capita basis by the 28 countries in the European Union.
But that is not all if this story is correct because China emits more per capita greenhouse gasses than the United States and the European Union COMBINED.
China is for the first time emitting more carbon pollution per person than the EU, birthplace of the industrial revolution. In a notable turning point for the world’s most populous nation, China produced 7.2 tonnes of planet-warming carbon dioxide a head last year, compared with 6.8 tonnes in the EU. Its total C02 emissions outstrip those of both the EU and the US combined, scientists reported.
So what gives? Is climate change a direct threat to our way of lives or is it not? Is the United Nations serious about saving the planet or is this, as I have believed all along, a political issue and not an environmental issue?

Well, the answer is obvious. Obama has to draw a red line around China, start placing sanctions like, he won’t let them buy anymore of bonds, and ,if the sanctions don’t work, he will threaten to bring Bush back to nuke them.

Only American CO2 creates a crisis. Didn’t you know that?

It is time for Gore to start spreading the money around…

Funny – like that would ever come to his mind!
It’s against his religion to do THAT! Better to have and receive than give!

They always want to spread other people’s wealth around but not their own.

Of course it is a political issue. You can’t get the environmental wackos to admit that, but the proof is in the pudding. It is a political power grab, nothing more and nothing less.

That and a global wealth redistribution scheme.

It all about this transformation thing. Applies to the U.S because that is who he wants to transform. We are going to have some cold winters ahead.

Exactly, we need to be brought down a notch for all of our past misdeeds…

Most the pictures I see of average citizens in China, they have face masks on, we have yet to start doing that HERE! How much money do we owe China, how much property, businesses does China own in the US? What other countries are being taken over by China’s money? Could they be getting a pass because of what other countries OWE them?
I still would love to get the UN out of our country, can’t some other country foot the bill on a building they will rent them? Why are WE always the one that have to fork over the money? I think we are being bled dry..,and still Obama has to bad mouth us as being horrible.

I meant to use one of those pictures in the post but I forgot. I agree Lou, the UN does not do us any good so it is time to let some other country host it.

A lot of good points mentioned here. Reminds me of the ’08 Olympics: “Cities Near Beijing Close Factories to Improve Air for Olympics”. “In an effort to clear Beijing’s murky skies for the 10,000 athletes and half-million foreign visitors expected for the Olympics, China is ordering broad restrictions on much of the capital’s industry.” How does this differ with the Agenda’s “transformation” of a once Great Nation (AAA+) to good, to marginal to idiotic indebtedness?
The UN and the Tower of Babel: http://vigilantcitizen.com/sinistersites/sinister-sites-the-eu-parliament/ (if you notice the photos it’s pretty obvious).

Glad you liked it. Yes, he has some very interest articles that tie what’s going on in the entertainment media w/ the ‘conditioning’ propaganda and the symbolism meanings/intent behind ‘IT’ (like the IT in the book “A Wrinkle In Time”).
Reminds me of the indoctrination going on in CO: ‘Colorado Students March Out to Protest Patriotism’. Those kids have no idea they’re being ‘used’ by creepy teachers & Profs to ‘further the Global Agenda’ – which they’re being taught is ‘thinking progressively’ and hip – while promoting the fraud prez of scum. God made CO too pretty of a place of the likes of them & their sickness – but that’s who running the show there. Sad.

The threat to our lives is giving what’s left of our manufacturing base to China. There’s a simple linkage between energy usage and industry. If you manufacture goods, you need energy. Nuclear has been shut down, hydro electric has been maxed and is even being reduced, sun, wind, etc. aren’t likely to be major supplies and that leave fossil fuels. The most efficient burning of fossil fuel produces a large quantity of carbon dioxide.
The only way to release less carbon dioxide is to burn less fuel and produce less energy. Less energy means further hobbling our economy while we encourage China to expand hers.
We’ve been sold out by our leaders and the lemmings are headed over the cliff.
