Obamacare architect apologizes for calling the American voters stupid, but lies about typos in the law
Yesterday Obamacare architect Jon Gruber was caught on video admitting that the law was purposely written to deceive the American people while claiming it had to be done because of the “stupidity of the American voter.”
Needless to say he has come under quite a bit of criticism for his comment, and rightfully so considering Barack Obama promised to have the most open and honest administration in history, and today he kinda, sorta apologized for this comment.

Gruber also apologized for comments he made citing “lack of transparency” as a “critical advantage” in Obamacare’s passage thanks to the “stupidity of the American voter.”
“The comments in the video were made at an academic conference, I was speaking off the cuff and I basically spoke inappropriately and O [sic] regret having made those comments” he said. He added that the point he was making was that Obamacare had to be done through the tax code.
Of course he did not apologize for the purposeful deceit of the American people or the lack of transparency for the end justifies the means, he only regrets the way he articulated it. Typical!
But that is not what I want to focus on in this post. He went on to say the following:
He also stated, “I think the pressures politically led to an incomplete law with some typos which has led to this recent dramatic court case. But I don’t think it really affects the sustainability.”
The “typo” and the court case he is referring to has to do with the issue of whether or not the Federal exchange is authorized to hand out subsidies. The lower courts have already ruled the Federal subsidies are illegal and the Supreme Court has decided to hear the case.
The law is pretty clear–only the states can hand out subsidies–but is this a typo which was the result of nobody reading the bill before they voted on it, or was it intentional?
This was not a mistake and this was not a typo, it was done intentionally in order to coerce the states into setting up their own exchanges and Jon Gruber was caught on video admitting this is the case. He is lying again, here is the video:
And just in case you think this was a “speak-o” as Jon Gruber now claims, he was caught a second time making the same exact statement.

I thought this was honest and open. Calling the American people stupid is honest and open since at least half of us anyway, are stupid.

“Goober” again proves that Liberals are, at their core, utterly devoid of principle and integrity. Achieving political power and transforming the USofA into yet another failed socialist state with them at the helm, remains their sole motivation. Nothing more.
The undisguised disdain with which they hold we commoners is infuriating, but, more importantly, very revealing. This insidious, demonstrable Liberal attitude should be instructive if enough Americans were actually paying attention–which, of course, they’re not.
He’s right about one thing though: there ARE too many “stupid Americans”, aka disengaged/ignorant Americans, out here, and until that changes Liberalism will continue its ruthless and, so far, triumphant onslaught on what precious little remains of our republic and our liberties. Now THAT is infuriating.

Well, I have 2 theories on stupid people, the first is that they were born that way and no amount of telling them something will change what they do or say. The second is that somewhere along the way, a normal thought process has been manipulated by either family, friends or the tube to believe what they are being told. Either of these are dangerous to the rest of our well being! Unless it personally has an effect on those people, there is pretty much nothing we can do for them.
The man is correct about these stupid people and they/he used them as a means to an end result. Some of those stupid people may wake up and get pissed, the other stupid people will continue doing what they have always done, being stupid. We should not waste our time on them.
