The FBI rejects ‘inside job’ theory in the Sony hacking

December 30, 2014

fbi_logo Since the FBI came to the conclusion that North Korea was behind the Sony hacking they have felt some blow-back from internet security researchers who claimed the FBI could not possibly have found the source of the hacking so quickly.

Yesterday the FBI met with Norse, a leader in internet security, about the possibility that the hacking was done by a disgruntled Sony employee.

Today the FBI rejected that theory, here is more:

U.S. law enforcement officials say an alternate theory of the Sony hack doesn’t stand up.

After FBI agents were briefed yesterday, they concluded the security company offering the alternate theory did not have an accurate understanding of all the evidence, a U.S. official familiar with the matter told POLITICO today.

The three-hour meeting with FBI investigators yesterday by cyber intelligence firm Norse “did not improve the knowledge of the investigation,” according to the U.S. official.

Investigators are open to new information brought forth by researchers, the official said, but it became clear in the meeting yesterday that Norse’s evidence was “narrow” and not an accurate analysis of the information, the official said.

I am not going to pretend that I know what the truth is: the FBI could be right in their analysis, or they could be dismissing this new information out of hand simply to avoid the embarrassment of having to admit they jumped to the wrong conclusion.

What do you guys think is the real truth?

That’s because you listened to William Cooper Steve! before the FBI took him out. “Reinvestigate911 – US Navy vet. William Cooper, who predicted 9/11, was shot dead by the FBI”
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPobPgxFymw

“On a broadcast on June, 28th of 2001 Bill Cooper would make the prediction that 9/11 would happen and Osama Bin Laden would be blamed.”
The description under the vid on uTube has text info.

I THINK, now that you ask, Sony pulled a publicity stunt and got a record number of people to go to a show that had been questionable as to how good it would be. Also, the Administration used this to do some of their dirty work behind the scenes. So there you have it, “kill 2 birds with one stone”, as they say. Well, at least that is what I THINK. My “belief” meter is broken when it comes to Obama and his crew AND Hollywood, who is in his back pocket, as well.

Not a bad conclusion Lou! I was so caught up in the ‘who done it’ that it haddn’t accured to me, shamefully. I say shamefully because I should have at least THOUGHT of it. LOL! True or not, it’s a good guess. 🙂

Well, Lorra, we are all just full of opinions, but at least we still have them and are not falling into line with someone telling us what we should think! With everything that is being thrown at us, we have way too much to “think” about and alot of times it just gets overwhelming, no worries!
Have a safe New Years! My husband and I are taking food over to our elderly neighbors tonight, no driving. Will grab a bottle of wine out the door, as well. We are to the point that waking up with a hang over is just not at the top of our “to do” list, haha!

Lou, I don’t know if Sony created the hacking story or if they simply took advantage of a “crisis” but either way it sure worked out well for them. Likewise with the government; I think they are going to use this to come after the internet and now that the story is out there about this being done by North Korea the story will stick and even if it is proven false the majority of the people will not hear about it.

That is how the media plays into all of this. All the left needs to do is put out a story, right or wrong, doesn’t matter. Then the media will run with it and when it is found out to be wrong, will make a bit of an effort to retract it, but it has already done its’ damage…oh well, they say. I say, they are out to get it, not sure who all of “they” are, but they sure want us to stop putting up a right.
Happy New Year to you, as well. We had a good time with our older neighbors, had alot of stories to tell and alot of stories to hear, so we spent a nice evening. Sat and munched on the goodies I took over and had some good Arkansas wine along with the food. Guess we could have been out fighting the crowd, but this was more enjoyable.

Exactly Lou and now we are seeing the same thing with the Steve Scalise story. It has now been proven that he did not speak in front of a white supremacist group but the people will not learn this because the MSM will not cover it. Same ole same ole…
Glad you had a great New Year’s Eve!

My above made no sense on one of the sentences, didn’t proof read it, haha. Meant “I say they are out to get us, not sure who all of “they” are, but they sure want us to stop putting up a fight”. So, if you read it the other way and made sense out of it, then there must be as much wrong with YOU as there is with ME!

German accent, a gloved man in uniform, w/ the cig in the filter, squinty eyes stating, “You Vill believe what we tell you to believe, you vill comply.” Recently on TV they showed “Three Day of the Condor” (’75) and it revealed some interesting things back then about there being a CIA within the CIA and “do you really thing the NY Times is going to print the truth you sent them.” The American Dream … why not call it the American REALITY? for today the Dream of those in control is a nightmare for ‘the many’. “Many cyber security firms are now questioning the FBI and the Obama administration and it looks like North Korea had nothing to do with the cyber attack on Sony. The US is telling lies to provoke war.” http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-12-30/it-wasnt-north-korea-or-russia-sony-hack-perpetrator-said-be-laid-disgruntled-employ
