America’s Watchtower may go dark as a State of Emergency has been declared in New Hampshire

January 26, 2015

A major nor’easter is headed to New Hampshire and a State of Emergency has been declared in the state. Unlike Massachusetts, where a travel ban has been implemented, New Hampshire residents are being urged to stay off the roadways.

With the high winds which are forecast in the area of the America’s Watchtower compound I fully expect to lose power for a few days. If this happens America’s Watchtower will go dark during that period. We are prepared and we will be okay but blogging will most likely not be possible for an extended period of time. If truth be told I could probably use the time off, however I would rather it not be for this reason.

My biggest concern at this time is that we will not have our power back in time to watch the Patriots in the Superbowl on Sunday. I am still holding on to the possibility that once the generator is fired up we will have cable and internet access for it has happened in the past and so it is still a possibility.

I will be keeping up with the news and the comments on America’s Watchtower on my phone but it will be hard to put my two cents in until I have full internet access.

Ditto here Steve. I just fired up the 7,000 Watts for a test run and all systems are go. When will global warming knock it off already?

I am going to do a test run on the generator in a few minutes as well just to be sure. We could use a little global warming right about now, couldn’t we? Stay safe my friend!

You all staying safe and sound is the most important thing, Steve. We’ll be here when you get back online.

So far all is well, lots of snow but it has not been as windy as I expected. Hopefully it stays that way!

Best wishes to all. I recall ’78 (I think that was the year) of our big one.

Hang in there Steve. Maybe you will have to rethink your role in Climate Change. Let’s see if you are a climate denier at the end of the apocalypses.

Good for you to be prepared Steve. What generator do you have and how did you decide on it? Winter is winter and it’s always good to be prepared. But, today it seems that it’s even needful to have our own energy resource, rather than depending on the grid at all – that’s under the control of powers that want to use it to cripple us (I don’t mean Russia). May this be a ‘regular winter storm’ for you all there and no under handedness going on to further the Agenda.

We have a Generac and we didn’t really “decide” on it. We lost power a few years ago for a few days and my wife ran out and bought the only model the store had left in stock.

Made me laugh with that Steve! Funny. Good for your resourceful wife!.
Hope you’re fairing out okay there. Even if all the power lines were underground, sealed safely, what good is if the ‘source’ is cut or down. What about the ‘free energy source’ Tesla discovered? Even though the things like this are hidden by the greedy’s, it might be something to have and use in small neighborhoods and communities. http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/evil-capitalists-prevent-nikola-tesla-creating-free-energy/#axzz3Q2XdIy64
Even the Egyptians had light sources – you can see in their pict. art.

It’s funny Zip, I have several generators I use for my construction business from time to time. Drought is our biggest weather event out here these days. but I doubt I could get one going in an emergency. First, find the generator out in the warehouse, then a battery that isn’t dead. Then look for oil. Then, check all gas cans to see if there is actually any gas in any of the dozen gas cans I have. Now find extension cords. I own dozens, but can never find one. Now what to hook up? As a contractor I would need to do a study of my systems, and then I would need to make a parts list.
By that time, the storm would have fizzled out like this one did, and no need for a generator.

Thanks for that ‘reality’ Bruce. Also, the choice of gas or propane. I was just looking at the Generac (which are nice but spendy). If there’s no gas or propane then it doesn’t work. Today there’s laws against drilling for water or natural gas on your own property, so the ‘shoe lace strings’ are pulled even tighter around containing what we’re “allowed” to do. It does one good thing though, it turns people to prayer (look to an uncorrupt God)! But corrupt people in charge still will follow their god of this world and disrupt our lives. Meanwhile we try to do what we can.

Yeah Zip, gas or propane is good as long as the grid is up but if the grid crashes (or is taken down) we are out of luck!
