Federal Judge temporarily blocks Barack Obama’s Executive immigration
26 states are in the process of suing the Obama regime over his Executive immigration and today a Texas Federal Judge temporarily blocked the implementation of the policy.

A federal judge in South Texas on Monday temporarily blocked President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration, giving a coalition of 26 states time to pursue a lawsuit that aims to permanently stop the orders.
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen’s decision comes after a hearing in Brownsville in January and puts on hold Obama’s orders that could spare as many as five million people who are in the U.S. illegally from deportation.
Hanen wrote in a memorandum accompanying his order that the lawsuit should go forward and that without a preliminary injunction the states will “suffer irreparable harm in this case.”
“The genie would be impossible to put back into the bottle,” he wrote, adding that he agreed with the plaintiffs’ argument that legalizing the presence of millions of people is a “virtually irreversible” action.
Reading my Facebook news feed, and judging by the reaction of some of the Republicans in the Congress, you would get the impression that this judge actually ruled on the merit of the Executive action when in fact he did not. All he did was issue an injunction to halt the implementation of the policy while the lawsuit is being adjudicated. This was not an indictment on the action itself but if I had to guess I would say he is opposed to it.
In my opinion this was the proper decision but it is not the big victory that many conservatives seem to feel it is. Don’t get me wrong; this is a victory because if the Obama regime was allowed to process these illegal immigrants while the lawsuit was still ongoing I do not believe there would be any legitimate chance to reverse the process if Barack Obama’s Executive immigration orders were eventually struck down–it would be too late at that point.
Barack Obama is appealing the decision so stay tuned, this is far from over.

I am a bit more optimistic. Obama has had a couple of 9-0 Supreme decisions against him. Lets see what the Appeals does with it. My understanding for an injunction, this has to be the reasoning, not the merits. But hey, I am not lawyer! 🙂

I would like to me more optimistic and you are right about previous unanimous decisions against Obama but after all we have been through it is tough to stay positive. I hope you are right!

The Supremes better watch what they say and do, I doubt if they are above being taken out by this Administration on whatever technicality they can find. Life long appointments, might not be life long in the opinion of some people. This has sure become a crazy world, nothing is as it seems anymore.

I have lived with the mess since the Regan amnesty. I liked Regan, but I didn’t like that. When we allow this, we all pay. It won’t be just those states. NAFTA? Hah, ask anyone who lives on the border whether that turd helped or hurt the citizens of this country.

Reagan granted amnesty in return for a promise of border security which never came and now the Republicans are going to make the same mistake. They might oppose the way Obama granted amnesty but in the end they are not against amnesty, they just want to be able to take “credit” for it.

I can tell you that we have paid dearly for the first batch. Border security is non existent. The only way to secure the border is to shut it down. That certainly will never happen as long as the Dems continue to use that as their voting base. Zero’s pandering to Mexico is unprecedented. If he wants Mexico so badly, take it and be done with it.

The democrat’s and the left squeal like stuck pigs because a conservative/right wing/republican judge has the audacity to rule, for now, against the traitor in chief while the left has made a cottage industry over the years of directing appeals to left wing/progressive/democrat judges to get the decisions they want especially when it comes to overturning the will of the people. In the end Obama will get the future democrat voter base he so desires. After all these folks have the right to take our money, flood our institutions such as schools and hospitals while refusing to assimilate.

Double standards, Peter! Nothing new here…..McConnell could put the vote to 51 votes in the Senate instead of the 60 now needed, but he is above doing that….this means we will once again bow down to the Democrats! We have the House AND the Senate and still the Democrats are in control, explain to me how/why this is happening??? My take is either the Republicans want this or they are big p*ssys! Either way, WE THE PEOPLE are screwed!

Yeah, it is time for the Republicans to stoop to the Democrats’ level if they want to get anything changed but they refuse to do so and this leads me to believe they are on the same page here.
