The Obama regime is ‘reconsidering’ the Afghanistan withdrawal timetable
In a much-hyped event in the Rose Garden in May of 2014 Barack Obama committed to the withdrawal of combat troops in Afghanistan by the end of 2016. I happen to agree with this: in my opinion it is time to get out of the region and it is time to let the various factions figure out their future on their own without the further loss of American lives.
However, despite Barack Obama’s much ballyhooed announcement, we are now learning, according to this story, that his new Defense Secretary, Ashton Carter, is working on a plan to extend the United States’ presence in the region beyond the 2016 timeline.

President Barack Obama may change the United States’ plan to withdraw virtually all its troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2016, his new defense secretary said Saturday during a visit to the central Asian nation — an indication that the White House is considering extending the U.S. troop presence there beyond that year.
U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter made the comment in a news conference in Kabul with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, who has previously called on Obama to “re-examine” the withdrawal plan to ensure his country has the support it needs to maintain security gains.
“Our priority now is to make sure this progress sticks. That is why President Obama is considering a number of options to reinforce our support for President Ghani’s security strategy, including possible changes to the time line for our drawdown of U.S. troops,” Carter said.
“That could mean taking another look at the timing and sequencing of base closures to ensure we have the right array of coalition capabilities to support our Afghan partners,” he said.
Saying one thing while doing another is a staple of the Obama regime and this is the latest example, it is what we have come to expect from the President. My questions about this are; how do all of those who voted for Barack Obama on his promise to end the wars feel now that he is on the verge of extending the war in Afghanistan? Why are they not up in arms about this? Are they paying attention or did they stop paying attention after he announced the withdrawal? Where is Code Pink?
Those questions are of course rhetorical because the left loves Big Brother and they would never dare to question him or his broken promises…

WE SHOULD HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE MILITARY, UNTIL THEY LAND HELICOPTERS ON THE WHITE HOUSE LAWN AND PHYSICALLY REMOVE THE POWERS AND THE FAMILIES THAT BE, BECAUSE IN NOT DOING SO, THEY TOO ARE HANDING US A LIFE BEING RULED BY A DICTATORSHIP.

Agree w/ ‘futuret’ – interesting link – as is the Agenda 21 article. Main problem is the majority of people have a ‘healthy conscience’ that works, whereas those in these ‘leadership positions’ don’t. How much money has been made from the poppy fields in Afghanistan – the ‘liars in chief’ have American troops in for reasons other than what they say (ask Pat Tillman who was killed for trying to get the truth out!). They both seem to have the spirit of the god of this world don’t they. M.’s body structure is more in line of a man’s than a women’s. And some speculate that Joan River’s death is suspicious, since it was just a months or so after she said this:

There is no doubt that the government is a master at using these events to push us toward a police state. I agree with much of what he said in that video and I find it disturbing, but not surprising, that so many more people would rather watch the dog teasing video than in learning about the truth. This is the uphill battle we face and I am not sure we can win it. Thanks for sharing this!

Do you think it’s Apathy Steve, brought on by ‘the overwhelming desire not to believe the truth’ … like he states, going beyond one’s level of comfort zone (conception of reality). I think it’s party that, plus ‘conditioning’. It’s like Bunker presenting the vid ‘mad as hell’. Screaming that out one’s window doesn’t accomplish much. Some will do it as a release – or – because it’s ‘in’/ fashionable and makes they feel better – about something they can’t do anything about Ignorance is bliss as long as your faith is grounded in God’s Truth, that supersedes and precedes all of this, and what comes next!

I think apathy plays a big role and I also think he is right when he says most people have no desire for the truth. They go ahead with their lives because it has not really affected them yet and so they think everything is okay. They are force-fed the news that the elites want them to hear and they blindly listen to and believe what they are told. The sad fact is these people will not wake up until they are directly affected and by that time it will be too late.
