Trey Gowdy has issued subpoenas for Hillary Clinton’s personal emails

 Yesterday The New York Times revealed that while she was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used her personal email account to conduct all State Department correspondence, and in fact she never had an official State Department email account. This allowed her, in effect, to “hide” official State Department business from public scrutiny and the investigation into the Benghazi scandal and ensuing cover  up.

  But the news got worse for the wannabe 2016 Presidential candidate with the news that she actually had her own private server set up from her home registered in the name of some mysterious, unknown man with connections to the Clintons.

  Needless to say, Trey Gowdy found this news to be quite troubling and threatened to subpoena Hillary Clinton’s personal emails and today he made good on that promise. Here is more:

After news spread that Hillary Clinton relied exclusively on a personal email account while she served as secretary of state, the House Select Committee on Benghazi has sent subpoenas to the State Department today explicitly requesting all of her communications related to Libya.

“The Select Committee on Benghazi today issued subpoenas for all communications of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton related to Libya and to the State Department for other individuals who have information pertinent to the investigation,” Jamal Ware, communications director for the committee, wrote in a statement. “The Committee also has issued preservation letters to internet firms informing them of their legal obligation to protect all relevant documents.”

  Issuing preservation letters is all very well and good and proper, however it may be too late because it is now being reported here that because Hillary Clinton set up her own server she was able to permanently delete any correspondence she wanted to and it cannot be recovered because it is not backed up. 

A week before becoming Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton set up a private e-mail system that gave her a high level of control over communications, including the ability to erase messages completely, according to security experts who have examined Internet records.

“You erase it and everything’s gone,” Matt Devost, a security expert who has had his own private e-mail for years. Commercial services like those from Google Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. retain copies even after users erase them from their in-box.

  If Hillary Clinton is as smart as the left claims she is then it is hard for me to believe she has not already deleted any emails which would implicate her in the Benghazi scandal. And of course the mainstream media and the left (but I repeat myself) will use the lack of evidence as “proof” that this is nothing more than a witch hunt when in reality it should be more proof of a cover up.
