Senate to investigate the possibility the Obama regime supported an effort to oust Benjamin Netanyahu
When is was announced that John Boehner had invited Benjamin Netanyahu to speak in front of the Congress Barack Obama refused to meet with the Israeli leader on the grounds that it was White House policy not to meet with world leaders immediately before they face reelection. The reason for this policy is that the United States does not want to be seen as involving itself in, or influencing the outcome of, a foreign nation’s election.
Honestly I can understand that logic, however it is now being suggested that the Obama regime might have actually meddled in the upcoming Israeli elections after all–but on the other side. According to this story a bipartisan Senate Committee has decided to investigate the possibility that the Obama regime might have helped to fund efforts to oust Benjamin Netanyahu.

A powerful U.S. Senate investigatory committee has launched a bipartisan probe into an American nonprofit’s funding of efforts to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the Obama administration’s State Department gave the nonprofit taxpayer-funded grants, a source with knowledge of the panel’s activities told FoxNews.com.
The fact that both Democratic and Republican sides of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations have signed off on the probe could be seen as a rebuke to President Obama, who has had a well-documented adversarial relationship with the Israeli leader.
The development comes as Netanyahu told Israel’s Channel Two television station this week that there were “governments” that wanted to help with the “Just Not Bibi” campaigning — Bibi being the Israeli leader’s nickname.
It also follows a FoxNews.com report on claims the Obama administration has been meddling in the Israeli election on behalf of groups hostile to Netanyahu.
This is the first I have heard of this accusation so I am not going to jump to any conclusions here although I would not be surprised to learn this is the case. Of course this brings to mind the 2010 election and the IRS’s admitted “inappropriate” targeting of conservative groups which might have affected the outcome of some local elections so there is a little history when it comes to the Obama regime interfering in elections. The same Republican’T Party Congresspersons who invited a leader of a foreign nation to come to USA and speak against USA and President Obama, are going to “investigate” the President Obama administration …?
Ya. Right. This ought to be good for a few million dollars waste of USA government resources.
Let’s see; who might be available to lead this witch-hunt; maybe the Republican’T Congressman from Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu (he might be out of a job real soon).

If you are really concerned about the government wasting resources on investigations you should turn your attention to Valerie Jarrett, she is the one behind all the Clinton flack and the six investigations the State Department is conducting into her time there.

Let me ask you this, exactly how did those 47 Senators ‘betray’ the U.S.? How did they side with Iran against the U.S?
As far as the leader of a foreign nation speaking before Congress, I suggest you look up how many times it’s been done before. Our government has 3 CO-EQUAL branches. The president is only the head of the executive the branch. He doesn’t run the whole government, nor does he run the Country.
obama has done nothing but disrespect Congress, why should they show him any respect?
Last time I checked, Israel is our ally. Why shouldn’t the leader of an allied nation speak before our Congress?

Suddenly the left is talking about the separation of powers. I find this laughable considering they have no problem with the EOs the President has been issuing.

This is what the Constitution says:
“He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur…”
The president can only make treaties ‘by and with’ the ‘advice and consent.’ To me, that means that the Senate is involve in the entire process, not just ratification.
I’ve read court rulings that say the president has sole power, but the courts were never delegated authority to interpret the Constitution. They declared themselves sole and final arbiter. They usurped that power from the other 2 branches, the states, and the People.
Defining the law is a legislative power, not a judicial one. The courts have to understand the law, but they are to use the law as defined by the law-makers/givers. That is Congress or the States. We’ve been doing it wrong for 200 yrs. We can correct this!

Hey Namelessone, try a different scenario that fits the same facts. I’ll grant you that we’re seeing a positive (my choice of word) result from the last election. However, those Republicans with their invitation and their Iranian love letter are only one aspect.
Currently there look to be some hairy battles shaping up between the Clinton Dems and what’s left of Obama’s supporters. Pelosi and Feinstein, even Harry Reid have been quieter than normal.
Try this idea: Even many Democrats have finally realized how much Obama is screwing up, both domestically and around the world.
Put down the Kool Aide and have a clear eyed look at the net results of Obama’s actions and inactions. Look at Russia, the entire Mid East, Chinese adventurism in S.E. Asia, central Africa, the top 1% becoming even richer at the expense of the middle class, local banks being eaten up by national banks, Black owned banks are on the endangered species list. Look at the horrendous state of our Race Relations and all the insane dynamics at work there.
Quit thinking that Conservatives and Libertarians are a bunch of inbred, racist, mouth breathers. Go do some research. The New York Post, Los Angeles Times and The Daily Mail from Britain all have good information. Learning to think independently can be difficult.
