House Republican leadership wants to vote on fast-track legislation on Friday so lawmakers won’t have to face angry constituents before voting

June 9, 2015

According to this article House Republican leadership wants to vote on the proposal to give Barack Obama fast-track authority on the Trans-Pacific Partnership this Friday because they do not want the rank and file selective Constitutionalist Republicans to be swayed by the voters over the weekend.

The vote to grant President Barack Obama fast-track authority to negotiate a massive Pacific Rim trade deal will be extremely tight by all accounts. Senior aides and lawmakers in GOP leadership are intent on scheduling the vote at the moment they believe they have the votes locked up — ideally by Friday, to spare supportive lawmakers the possibility of another weekend of attacks by trade foes back in their districts.

Many of the very same legislators who won the election by promising to stop Barack Obama’s agenda dead in its tracks, and many of the very same legislators who have been bitching and moaning about Barack Obama usurping powers not granted to him in the Constitution, are hell-bent on helping him win one of the more controversial parts of his agenda by willingly handing over more power to the President. It is a double whammy to those people who put their faith in the Republicans in the Congress.

An NBC poll shows that two-thirds of the American people oppose handing Barack Obama this power and the Republican leadership knows this but what is their reaction? Is it standing with the people against the President? No, instead they are hoping to vote on the legislation before the people can have a chance to contact their Representatives and I find it appalling!

These people are supposed to represent us but we can clearly see they do not give a damn about what the American people want, they have an agenda which is driven by the people hidden behind the veil who are pulling the strings. Do you still think there are really two parties in America?

No biggie as to when they vote on this anti-american jobs and business bill. Millions of Republican voters will stay home in 2016 and these hypocrites will get their long overdue comeuppance. Fool me once shame on you, fool me each election shame on me.We now know it really will make little difference who holds the majorities in both houses along with the White House. Both sides serve the same master/ masters.

And then to top it off they are going to throw Jeb Bush at us. They have not learned from the last two Presidential election and are going to make the same mistake again. These people really do not deserve to win another election and they are doing their best to make sure they do not.

Something that goes along with the madness: Oct 13, 1975 newspaper clipping showing partly why America is where it is today.
