Ann Coulter calls Nikki Haley an ‘immigrant’ who ‘does not understand American history’

June 24, 2015

Regular readers of America’s Watchtower know how I feel about Ann Coulter: she is a hypocrite, a fraud, and an opportunist who lost all the credibility she might have had when after claiming Mitt Romney had to be stopped from becoming President at all costs quickly reversed course and declared he was the only hope to save America after her first choice, Chris Christie, decided not to run for the Presidency in 2012.

But her hypocrisy does not stop there: after the election she released a book entitled Never Trust a Liberal Over 3–Especially a Republican. In order to promote this book she appeared on Boston talk radio several times and during the course of these interviews she repeatedly berated the Tea Party for putting up primary opponents to run against RINO establishment candidates claiming it was time to stop fighting each other and to rally around the establishment candidates. That position seems to be at odds with the title of her book to say the least. I repeatedly sent texts to the host of the radio show asking him to stop having this fraud on the air and listed both of these examples but needless to say I never got a response…

But now Ann Coulter has gone beyond hypocrisy and has entered into the realm of stupidity when during an interview about the Confederate Flag she claimed that Nikki Haley was “an immigrant and does not understand America’s history.”

  Here is the clip:

There is just one small problem with that statement and that is the fact that Nikki Haley is not an immigrant because she was born in South Carolina. To be honest I have no idea whether or not Nikki Haley understands American history but I do know this: if you are a public figure who is going to take to the airwaves to bash a politician you should probably have your facts straight (especially when you cover politics for a living) or you will simply look like an ass.

With friends like Ann Coulter who needs enemies…

I don’t know much about her, except I really, REALLY don’t like her voice. Wow, if I had to listen to her for more than a minute, I’d render myself deaf.

She has that kind of “condescending I am better than you” sound to her voice that grates on my nerves.

Yep. I used to LOVE Ann Coulter, and had bought all her books and read them. She was controversial, but I loved that she spoke her mind and didn’t care what people thought about her. But slowly, my support for her has started to diminish. It first happened when I got to hear her speak.

At the time, I had gotten to hear Antonin Scalia, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin and others speak. When I went heard all of them speak, I walked away liking them and respecting them even more. But not so with Ann Coulter. When I heard her speak, I walked away thinking she came across very harshly. She was very biting and critical and harsh, there was nothing inspirational or motivating about her talk. I kind of walked away thinking she was a mean-spirited person, this from someone who was her biggest fan.

I still liked her after that, but when I saw her all-out support of Romney, her harsh criticism of Bush and many other things, my respect for her started to erode. I felt that some of her opinions didn’t line up with the belief system she said she had. I kind of came to the same conclusion as you about her being a hypocrite. I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t read her column anymore and I have no desire to read her latest book.

So, unfortunately, when I saw this comment about Nikki Haley I wasn’t surprised. If she hasn’t already, she is going to lose all credibility with the people who have been her supporters in the past. She’s basically already lost me.

Hi Dee, it has been a long time! I hope you are doing well. That whole thing with Romney is what did it for me, I used to love the fact that she was able to get under peoples’ skin but she lost all credibility during the 2008 election and I think she has been struggling to get it back.

Hadn’t heard that one! I was thinking of the song we were taught in grade school, ‘Wish I were in Dixie’

Some good pics in this one:

Okay … one more – upgraded National Gallery Orchestra!

Did the Northern’s have such songs?
The spirit, soul and body of a person and a Nation gives it INDIVIDUAL IDENTITY!
      HURRAY!

You know, I am offended by some songs, you know what I do??? I do not listen to them. I have that choice. So does everyone else. I thought HISTORY is what made this country! Take it all away….wait….that is what they want to do, so they can rebuild it in the image THEY want it to be. Could that be it? Wipe out history and write the books with all the liberal, socialist, communist crap? There might have been a time I would have said i was crazy to think that, but not anymore. We remove everything that offends everyone but the conservatives…that should do it! We need to offend conservatives, then we are on the right track. You know what? Put me out of my misery now!

After sitting here listening to the songs about Dixie that were posted, I had some thoughts….those are songs from the past,,,,from SOMEONES past, good or bad it is history,,,,and history should and needs to be recorded, no matter if it was good or bad. We all are raised in certain areas and the beliefs of that area are what is instilled in us. To be raised in the South was no different that being raised in the North or East or West….they are entitled to have their history recorded along with their heritage. Those beautiful plantations are part of what I remember, and now they want to BAN Gone with the Wind, well that is just people with too much time on their hands trying to stir up shit. Everything at some point will offend someone, so see how this could get out of hand? I know people want to be politically correct and this Administration is pretty much to blame for that. You know what? I really do not give a rats butt what anyone is offended over, get over it!!!!!

You’re the very kind of person the Globalist don’t like Lou! How dare you talk sanity, about beauty, realness! The perverted rats don’t like that. They’re destroying the foundation and have moved the plumb line so far off that ‘normal’ is now in cesspool – from which they came. I like some of the old South songs – they’re lively and have passion! And, like you say, if someone doesn’t like it, don’t listen!

Ok, if I have not said enough already…I was thinking again and I know that can be dangerous. One of my Great-Grandfathers came to this country thru Ellis Island, the LEGAL way….he was IRISH…..he worked his butt off and did not take handouts….isn’t that how it was supposed to work and should still be working? I remember my Grandmother telling me that he said there were signs that said “Irish need not apply” for jobs….should I get some reparations out of that? I am sure the Germans and the Italians were treated equally as bad…maybe we should all be offended from something that happened generations ago. However, I doubt anyone would listen…there is the DIFFERENCE! Maybe it is “he who screams the loudest” gets the most attention!

We’re living in an age of transition, where the liars and thieves are in control.
We’re warned about this in Scripture that God’s (Romans 1:25 KJV), that His truth would be replaced with the Lie and we are living in that Lie Program with Liars at the helm. The more we know of the Truth the less we fall for the lie.

this whole “confederate flag” is manufactured. rile up southern whites, get them active, and then “ride to the rescue” and scoop up all those votes as a block.

or..they’re trying to get this issue out of the way before election time. all the republican candidates can play both sides of the fence, “I’m for your right to decide for yourself”, where the democrat candidates have to hold the anti-flag position or lose big.

this whole thing has nothing to do with history..it has to do with what bear do you poke with a stick, and when. too early, and the bear is back asleep before you can take advantage and blame it on the other guy, too late, and you get eaten.

it’s the same with abortion..republicans try to have a big abortion ruling right before an election. they get to poke the bear, blame it on the other guy, and reap the rewards. 90% of them don’t care one way or the other. they just want to see the other guy mauled before anyone figures out they’re the one with the stick.

Absent slavery, the Civil War wouldn’t have been fought, so it’s not at all unreasonable for people to think that the losing side’s battle standard is symbolic of the fight to preserve slavery.

In addition, as I understand it, the Stars and Bars wasn’t much of a big deal at all after the war until the time in the 20th century that the Klan started using it in conjunction with some of its other merry activities. They it started showing up as a symbol of southern defiance of civil rights laws, culminating in the display of the rebel flag on public land in several states. Indeed, some states even incorporated it into their own flags, despite their vows of loyalty when they returned to the Union after the war.

As to history, I’ve yet to see a French flag on public land in Louisiana or Mississippi. Seems the only history some folks want to honor is their part on the losing side of a war fought to perpetuate a most immoral and sinful practice.

So no, it’s not wrong to remove the Stars and Bars from places of honor on public land and relegate it to museums and history books. No individual or group is precluded from using it, but it’s time to end the use of taxpayer resources to display this shameful symbol.

Take good care and may God bless us all!

I think the civil war would have been fought, absent slavery, but possibly further west, over taxes and local authority vs federal. frontier people don’t like being pushed around…and once we got to the point of having no frontier left to move to, there would have been a fight.

we did have other rebellions prior that could have erupted into full-blown civil war, had the right coals been stoked.

“Traditionally depicted as a revolt of poor farmers embittered by land seizures and bankruptcies, recent research into the lives of Shays Rebellion’s participants suggests that Shaysites came from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, and from different professions and states. [3] Research shows that the Shaysites’ grievances extended beyond the specifics of Massachusetts’ economic situation to issues like: rule by a faraway elite; cronyism and corruption in government; and regressive tax policy.”

        wow that sounds…familiar.

“rule by a faraway elite; cronyism and corruption in government; and regressive tax policy”

Interesting idea, and perhaps you’re right about the inevitability of armed conflict within the US at some point even in the absence of slavery. But I stand by what I asserted above — if slavery had not been an issue, there’d have been no war at the time.
