Martin O’Malley claims global warming is to blame for the rise of ISIS
I have to admit that I do not know much about Martin O’Malley but I thought compared to his Democratic Presidential opponents he seemed fairly reasonable. However he has now gone full moonbat; during an interview on With All Due Respect he made the claim that global warming was responsible for the rise of ISIS in the Middle East.
Here is part of what he had to say:
“For example, one of the things that preceded the failure of the nation state of Syria and the rise of ISIS, was the effect of climate change and the megadrought that affected that nation, wiped out farmers, drove people to cities, created a humanitarian crisis that created the symptoms — or rather, the conditions — of extreme poverty that has now led to the rise of ISIS and this extreme violence.”
This of course is the politically correct answer because it touches on climate change and poverty while ignoring the true issue when it comes to Islamic terrorism and that is the ideology of the people who are carrying out these attacks and beheadings and the policies of the man in the White House.

Well, maybe he is onto something! There tends to be more rioting when it is summer and hot as hell out (global warming). Of course it has to be at night, during the day is for sleeping (not holding down a job) Winter is for hibernating, staying inside and collecting bennies from “the man”….so yes I tend to think that all their pent up hatred for the “unbelievers” probably comes out when it is HOT…I get testy when it gets hot, but then again, I have a bit more self control than to behead numerous people and go around shouting unintelligible phrases. Apparently they have just not pissed off the right person yet, because at some point the shit will hit the fan.

OT I have been reading alot of articles about flying the flag half mast or half staff,,,,on the sea it is half mast, on a flag pole on land it is half staff…for some reason alot of people that are writing articles are not looking it up before they print their articles….here is an explanation…….

I already knew this because my dad is a sailor and I grew up sailing every summer. He didn’t just sail, he raced, was a lot of fun. I’ve even been hoisted to the top of the mast on a small wooden seat a couple of times – that was scary.
He was also a Naval Sailor, too.
I’ve seen a few people posting the same information about half-staff/half-mast on several different sites. Good information to know, Lou, thanks. 🙂

I used to be one of the people who always said “half-mast” and eventually I looked it up to see why some people call it “half-staff” and that was how I learned I was misusing the term for most of my life.

It seems to escape this moron that many well-educated middle-class Jihadi tourists from Europe are joining the islamic state holiday club.
As for the thesis that heat causes violence, isn’t it strange that in many islamic countries it’s always, ALWAYS, hotter on fridays?
It’s a fact that in many instances the violence is happening on fridays.
What else is happening on fridays in these countries?

May I simply say what a relief to find a person that genuinely understands what they are
