The FBI is investigating the security of Hillary Clinton’s personal email server
According to this story the FBI is investigating the security of the personal email server Hillary Clinton used to conduct all State Department business on during her tenure as the head of that agency.

The FBI has begun looking into the security of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s private e-mail setup, contacting in the past week a Denver-based technology firm that helped manage the unusual system, according to two government officials.
Also last week, the FBI contacted Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, with questions about the security of a thumb drive in his possession that contains copies of work e-mails Clinton sent during her time as secretary of state.
The FBI’s interest in Clinton’s e-mail system comes after the intelligence community’s inspector general referred the issue to the Justice Department in July. Intelligence officials expressed concern that some sensitive information was not in the government’s possession and could be “compromised.” The referral did not accuse Clinton of any wrongdoing, and the two officials said Tuesday that the FBI is not targeting her.
Kendall confirmed the contact, saying: “The government is seeking assurance about the storage of those materials. We are actively cooperating.”
Certainly an investigation is warranted however you will note, according to the article, the FBI is only looking into the security aspect of the story and not into whether or not the former Secretary of State violated Federal law or was using a personal email server in order to keep her official emails out of the hands of government oversight committees and those seeking information under FOIA requests–and those issues are just as important in my opinion.
Once the investigation is over and the FBI determines the email server was secure this will allow Hillary Clinton to put the issue to bed during the campaign (it’s a dead issue) when in reality only one of the troublesome aspects of this story will have been addressed.

Bunk, I was under the same impression. They need a stronger opponent and they are throwing her to the wolves. Don’t get me wrong, she SHOULD be thrown to the wolves and this will be interesting to watch unfold. Bet she is crapping bullets right now…

Can we please stop talking about Hillary’s panties! 🙂 It is an interesting scenario and I would not be surprised if this is what is going on. Lorra, you are right; Hillary has always been above reproach which has led to her being arrogant and that could be her downfall.

I am sure Bill and Hillary must have dirt on everyone so this could get very ugly. Obama has nothing to lose politically at this point so unlike the others he has nothing to lose in going after her or else this probably would have been swept under the rug.

Should we be so lucky for this to happen? Surely you do not think the WH will be pushing Bernie? Or Joe? Martin O’Malley is the only other one in the running, right?

I think Bernie is more in line with Obama politically than any of the others. We all know Obama is a socialist and at least Bernie has the guts to admit he is one.

There is no doubt in my mind that there is still animosity between the Obama’s and the Clinton’s and this all stems from the 2008 election, but think of the type of person who holds a grudge for so long. And it is a little scary he is in the White House.
