Reuters: Hillary Clinton received dozens of emails that were ‘born classified’
Since the time we have learned that Hillary Clinton did in fact, despite her claims to the contrary, receive classified emails on her personal server she–and the State Department–have defended it by stating that these emails have been retroactively stamped classified but were not classified at the time they were originated.
Recently the former Secretary of State has tweaked her message during campaign stops by stating none of the emails were “marked” classified. An interesting qualification don’t you think? I am of the opinion that even if an email is not “marked” classified that Hillary Clinton should instinctively understand which information is sensitive and which is not. In fact I would state her job description required it.
While Hillary Clinton is playing this little game of semantics with state secrets and trying to fool the American people into believing she is only guilty of incompetence and not of criminal activity it turns out, if this story is true, that United States rules do state that some information is considered classified when it is generated even if it is not “marked” as such at the time.

The new stamps indicate that some of Clinton’s emails from her time as the nation’s most senior diplomat are filled with a type of information the U.S. government and the department’s own regulations automatically deems classified from the get-go — regardless of whether it is already marked that way or not.
In the small fraction of emails made public so far, Reuters has found at least 30 email threads from 2009, representing scores of individual emails, that include what the State Department’s own “Classified” stamps now identify as so-called ‘foreign government information.’ The U.S. government defines this as any information, written or spoken, provided in confidence to U.S. officials by their foreign counterparts.
This sort of information, which the department says Clinton both sent and received in her emails, is the only kind that must be “presumed” classified, in part to protect national security and the integrity of diplomatic interactions, according to U.S. regulations examined by Reuters.
“It’s born classified,” said J. William Leonard, a former director of the U.S. government’s Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO). Leonard was director of ISOO, part of the White House’s National Archives and Records Administration, from 2002 until 2008, and worked for both the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations.
“If a foreign minister just told the secretary of state something in confidence, by U.S. rules that is classified at the moment it’s in U.S. channels and U.S. possession,” he said in a telephone interview, adding that for the State Department to say otherwise was “blowing smoke.”
So either Hillary Clinton is once again lying to the American people or she legitimately did not understand the common sense rules she was operating under. (Or she is going senile?) If Hillary Clinton is so stupid as to not instinctively understand that information received from a foreign government is automatically deemed to be classified how can she possibly be trusted as President of the United States of America?

Steve, you are correct that the SoS should know what information is classified and what info is not without it being stamped classified by someone. She is claiming (lying) that she never sent info ‘marked’ classified, yet it has been discovered that she did send classified info. It matters not whether the info was ‘marked’ classified, as SoS, it was her job to know what information was secret.
Whether she didn’t know what info was secret, or she just ignored it, doesn’t matter. Either situation makes her exceedingly, supremely, overwhelmingly unqualified for any elected or appointed office whatsoever!

It is all about picking words very carefully to the Clintons. We have seen it in the past. We can only hope some of the “little people” they are trying to lay the blame on start fighting back. If it where me, I think I would have to say that all bets are off and I would be damned if I would go to jail for the likes of them. Of course, at that point you would have to hire security OR start packing 24/7, you would have an instant target on your back. Yes, Laura, she is unqualified to hold ANY office, even the ones she had in the Senate AND the SoS. What a waste of air she is!

I would be very concerned about my safety were I one of her ‘minions’ – too many of their ‘friends’ and colleagues wind up dead….
obama, hillary, reid, boehner, mcconnell – just a few of the truly horrid people in the world. All of whom I believe should be in jail.

You are 100% right Laura and this story proves that info was classified when she sent it even if it wasn’t marked as such. I think the State Department is defending her at this point because of yesterday’s news that the never followed up after the hack a couple of years ago.

Layering reminds me of Photoshop and how things can be manipulated to be something they aren’t – i.e. Bari’s Birth Certificate and many other ‘doctored’ political/propaganda media photos. Hilly’s ‘hidden’ classifieds become less important – would we ‘see’ the truth of them, or would they just go to those who are sold out anyway?

Lou, there are so many diversions going on right now that it is a wonder we catch anything they are trying to sneak by. We are so hot after the trail of Hillary, Donald and too many to count that we are probably missing the bi picture to a certain degree. Especially with the big O keeping things classified, like the Iran Deal. Disturbing at best.

I know they felt like one of those great people that had to prove they were not racist,,,well I am not, either! That was not why I didn’t vote for him, I saw what he was and his color was not the issue. There are alot of blacks that would make a great president, but unfortunately HE was not in that category. As for the diversions, Lorra, there are so many that we are in constant spinning mode trying to stop what we can. I have a feeling there is more damage being done than we can put a stop to.

Makes one ‘wonder’ what or who started this! Oil barrel prices are down but gas prices not reflective of it -have risen and not gone down – that’s being manipulated big time (al gore’s group).

I just realized yesterday how low the price of a barrel of oil is and yet the price of gas has not come down to reflect it. I find it interesting the media has not been reporting on this.
