Ben Carson calls for an investigation into CAIR’s tax-exempt status

October 2, 2015

After Ben Carson stated he would not advocate for a Muslim becoming President the media intentionally misrepresented what he said by claiming he does not think a Muslim should be allowed to run for President. It is clear that this is not what he meant: he simply meant that he would not vote for a Muslim, not that a Muslim should be disqualified from the Presidency. The Constitution agrees that a person cannot be denied office for religious reasons in Article VI:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

One can judge Ben Carson for his personal belief and decide whether or not they can vote for him based on his opinion, that is fair in my opinion, but what is not fair is distorting what he was trying to say, even if he did not articulate it properly, simply for political reasons and in my opinion that is what the mainstream media attempted to do. He can decide not to vote for a Muslim if that is how he feels and the people can decide not to vote for Ben Carson for his belief if that is how they feel. It seems logical to me, but not to CAIR.

In the aftermath of his comment CAIR came out and called for him to drop out of the race, this is a violation of election law which states that no tax-exempt organization can inject itself into a political campaign and Ben Carson is now asking for an investigation into CAIR:

CAIR has “brazenly violated IRS rules” as a tax-exempt organization, which are prohibited from intervening “in a political campaign on behalf of—or in opposition to—a candidate,” Carson alleged.

“Under the Obama administration, the IRS has systematically targeted conservative nonprofit groups for politically motivated audits and harassment,” Dr. Carson, one of the frontrunners for the Republican nomination for President, said in a statement on his website. “The agency should now properly do its job and punish the real violators of America’s laws and regulations.”

“This is not the first time that CAIR has disrespected U.S. laws or America. It has previously lost its tax-exempt status by failing to file federal taxes three years in a row. It had also been named by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal conspiracy to funnel money to Hamas, a terrorist organization,” Dr. Carson reminded readers on his website.

Ben Carson is exactly right: We live in an age when the Obama regime’s IRS used its election law powers to withhold tax-exempt status from Tea Party organizations because of the possibility they might be too politically involved. But here we have a tax-exempt organization which actually did interfere in a national election by calling for him to drop out of the race; an organization which has already lost its tax-exempt status before; and an organization which the FBI found tried to hide its ties to Hamas.

FBI wiretaps found that Awad asked early CAIR employees to use coded-language when discussing their support for Hamas, due to its terror designation.

And yet there is not a peep from the IRS: if the IRS was being consistent they would at least look into CAIR but of course consistency has nothing to do with it, it is all about the agenda and the end justifies the means…

Carson is right on. Our first Muslim president has set about to destroy our culture, our economy, our sovereignty, our security and our military as well as foment race wars. He is thus far succeeding on all fronts while usurping our constitution. He is a demigod in the truest sense of the word. He is protected from impeachment and prosecution by his skin color and his muslimness. What nation in its right mind would nominate and elect another Muslim. If this was a country with free speech and freedom of expression these sentiments would echo from the mountains to the prairie to the oceans white with foam. We do not however any longer live In a country with freedom of speech, freedom of expression and almost no freedom of thought. Let’s hope Ben proceeds without equivocation.

We now only have a country of free politically correct speech, although you are doing one hell of a job bucking the system!
