NOAA is using compromised temperature stations to promote global warming
A new study is out which shows that because NOAA is using low quality and ill situated compromised temperature stations the 30 year global temperature trend has been overestimated. Here is more:
30 year trends of temperature are shown to be lower, using well-sited high quality NOAA weather stations that do not require adjustments to the data.

NEW STUDY OF NOAA’S U.S. CLIMATE NETWORK SHOWS A LOWER 30-YEAR TEMPERATURE TREND WHEN HIGH QUALITY TEMPERATURE STATIONS UNPERTURBED BY URBANIZATION ARE CONSIDERED
A new study about the surface temperature record presented at the 2015 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union suggests that the 30-year trend of temperatures for the Continental United States (CONUS) since 1979 are about two thirds as strong as officially NOAA temperature trends.
Using NOAA’s U.S. Historical Climatology Network, which comprises 1218 weather stations in the CONUS, the researchers were able to identify a 410 station subset of “unperturbed” stations that have not been moved, had equipment changes, or changes in time of observations, and thus require no “adjustments” to their temperature record to account for these problems. The study focuses on finding trend differences between well sited and poorly sited weather stations, based on a WMO approved metric Leroy (2010)1for classification and assessment of the quality of the measurements based on proximity to artificial heat sources and heat sinks which affect temperature measurement.
Temperature trend estimates vary according to site classification, with poor siting leading to an overestimate of minimum temperature trends and an underestimate of maximum temperature trends, resulting in particular in a substantial difference in estimates of the diurnal temperature range trends
“The majority of weather stations used by NOAA to detect climate change temperature signal have been compromised by encroachment of artificial surfaces like concrete, asphalt, and heat sources like air conditioner exhausts. This study demonstrates conclusively that this issue affects temperature trend and that NOAA’s methods are not correcting for this problem, resulting in an inflated temperature trend. It suggests that the trend for U.S. temperature will need to be corrected.” He added: “We also see evidence of this same sort of siting problem around the world at many other official weather stations, suggesting that the same upward bias on trend also manifests itself in the global temperature record”.

The article claims that the global temperatures will need to be corrected to take into account the urbanization of the locations from which NOAA is gathering much of its data. This means that the temperatures should be adjusted downward and yet NOAA, pushing its radical agenda, is actually adjusting historical global temperatures in the opposite direction to create the illusion of global warming, proving to me once and for all that the global warming agenda has nothing to do with the truth or with saving the planet, but rather is just interested in pushing a political agenda for profit.
Maybe this is the real reason why John Kerry recently admitted that cutting United States emissions would not do a damn thing to save the planet…

Nothing new. We can add this one to the list of wonky equipment, manipulated data, buggy algorithms and destroyed source data that provides the foundation for the Warmists.
They’re true believers. Facts have become irrelevant. The Liberals are in control of the information and the message. That we take issue with this gets us painted as a bunch of flat earth pin heads and racists to boot.
That so many people feel trampled on by this sort of thing or any number of other current issues from race relations to ISIS is exactly why we have a populist leading the Republican polls.
Trump is promising action, brutal, direct, simplistic action. For better or worse, that is his appeal to a very significant portion of the electorate.

Yeah, there is a history of deceit and manipulation by the people pushing this agenda and when you say “believers” I think it hits the point because this is like a religion to the global warming followers and they do not seem to care about the means used to push their beliefs.
In a way I understand Trump’s popularity because people are sick and tired of what is going on and they feel he can and will actually change Washington and I feel just as sick and tired as they do but I do not think Trump is the right guy.

Their’s is based on the Lie and the lie lives in them – filling them to the full, so there’s no room for Truth! They’re blind and think they see! Yes I know what you mean Steve. I was surprised in a way to hear him stating that, esp. since he’s been playing the game and was probably following orders himself. It might be that the world leaders want it to be known now, probably because they figure they have it all wrapped up. I still think God uses all of this to bring about His Good and Perfect Plan – which existed before time began. One day we’ll see in full.

It’s difficult to our psyches to realize these truth, esp. growing up being taught the lies from day one.
